1At that time the LORD said unto me: 'Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto Me into the mount; and make thee an ark of wood.
1เวลานั้นพระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับผมว่า ‘จงสกัดแผ่นศิลาสองแผ่นให้เหมือนแผ่นแรก แล้วขึ้นมาหาเราบนภูเขา และทำหีบไม้หนึ่งใบ
2And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which thou didst break, and thou shalt put them in the ark.'
2เราจะเขียนถ้อยคำที่อยู่บนแผ่นแรกซึ่งเจ้าทำแตกลงบนแผ่นเหล่านี้ แล้วเจ้าจงใส่ไว้ในหีบ’
3So I made an ark of acacia-wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in my hand.
3ผมจึงทำหีบจากไม้อะคาเซีย สกัดแผ่นศิลาสองแผ่นเหมือนแผ่นแรก แล้วขึ้นไปบนภูเขาพร้อมแผ่นศิลาทั้งสองในมือ
4And He wrote on the tables according to the first writing, the ten words, which the LORD spoke unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and the LORD gave them unto me.
4พระองค์ทรงเขียนพระบัญญัติสิบประการบนแผ่นศิลาเหมือนข้อความครั้งแรก คือถ้อยคำที่พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับพวกคุณบนภูเขาจากกลางไฟในวันที่ประชุมกัน แล้วพระยาห์เวห์ทรงมอบให้ผม
5And I turned and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me. —
5ผมหันกลับลงจากภูเขา และใส่แผ่นศิลาไว้ในหีบที่ทำขึ้น แผ่นศิลายังคงอยู่ที่นั่นตามที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงบัญชาผม
6And the children of Israel journeyed from Beeroth-benejaakan to Moserah; there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.
6(ชาวอิสราเอลเดินทางจากเบเอโรทเบเนยาอาคานไปยังโมเสราห์ ที่นั่นอาโรนเสียชีวิตและถูกฝังไว้ และเอเลอาซาร์บุตรของเขารับหน้าที่ปุโรหิตแทน
7From thence they journeyed unto Gudgod; and from Gudgod to Jotbah, a land of brooks of water. —
7จากที่นั่นพวกเขาเดินทางไปกุดโกดาห์ และจากกุดโกดาห์ไปโยทบาทาห์ ซึ่งเป็นแผ่นดินที่มีลำธารหลายสาย
8At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto Him, and to bless in His name, unto this day.
8เวลานั้นพระยาห์เวห์ทรงแยกเผ่าเลวีออกมา ให้หามหีบพันธสัญญาของพระยาห์เวห์ ยืนต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์เพื่อรับใช้พระองค์ และอวยพรในพระนามของพระองค์ จนถึงทุกวันนี้
9Wherefore Levi hath no portion nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God spoke unto him. —
9เพราะฉะนั้น เลวีจึงไม่มีส่วนแบ่งหรือมรดกร่วมกับพี่น้อง พระยาห์เวห์ทรงเป็นมรดกของเขา ตามที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณตรัสไว้กับเขา)
10Now I stayed in the mount, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me that time also; the LORD would not destroy thee.
10ผมอยู่บนภูเขาสี่สิบวันสี่สิบคืนเหมือนครั้งแรก และครั้งนั้นพระยาห์เวห์ก็ทรงฟังผมอีก พระยาห์เวห์ไม่ทรงทำลายพวกคุณ
11And the LORD said unto me: 'Arise, go before the people, causing them to set forward, that they may go in and possess the land, which I swore unto their fathers to give unto them.'
11แล้วพระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับผมว่า ‘ลุกขึ้น ออกเดินทางนำหน้าประชาชน พวกเขาจะได้เข้าไปครอบครองแผ่นดินที่เราปฏิญาณไว้กับบรรพบุรุษว่าจะประทานให้’
12And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul;
12บัดนี้ อิสราเอล พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณทรงต้องการอะไรจากพวกคุณ นอกจากให้ยำเกรงพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ ดำเนินตามทุกทางของพระองค์ รักพระองค์ และรับใช้พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณด้วยทั้งใจและทั้งชีวิต
13to keep for thy good the commandments of the LORD, and His statutes, which I command thee this day?
13และรักษาพระบัญชาและข้อกำหนดของพระยาห์เวห์ที่ผมกำลังสั่งในวันนี้ เพื่อประโยชน์ของพวกคุณเอง
14Behold, unto the LORD thy God belongeth the heaven, and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that therein is.
14ดูเถิด ฟ้าสวรรค์ แม้แต่ฟ้าสวรรค์ชั้นสูงสุด และแผ่นดินกับทุกสิ่งในนั้น ล้วนเป็นของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ
15Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and He chose their seed after them, even you, above all peoples, as it is this day.
15ถึงอย่างนั้น พระยาห์เวห์ทรงพอใจในบรรพบุรุษของพวกคุณและทรงรักพวกเขา แล้วทรงเลือกลูกหลานของพวกเขาภายหลัง คือพวกคุณ เหนือชนชาติทั้งปวง ดังที่เป็นอยู่ในวันนี้
16Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
16เพราะฉะนั้น จงตัดหนังหุ้มปลายของใจออกเสีย และอย่าดื้อรั้นอีกต่อไป
17For the LORD your God, He is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awful, who regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.
17เพราะพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณทรงเป็นพระเจ้าเหนือพระทั้งหลาย และเจ้านายเหนือเจ้านายทั้งหลาย เป็นพระเจ้าผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ ทรงพลัง และน่าเกรงขาม พระองค์ไม่ทรงลำเอียงและไม่ทรงรับสินบน
18He doth execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
18พระองค์ทรงให้ความยุติธรรมแก่เด็กที่กำพร้าพ่อและหญิงม่าย และทรงรักคนต่างถิ่น โดยประทานอาหารและเสื้อผ้าให้
19Love ye therefore the stranger; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
19เพราะฉะนั้น จงรักคนต่างถิ่น เพราะพวกคุณเองเคยเป็นคนต่างถิ่นในแผ่นดินอียิปต์
20Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; Him shalt thou serve; and to Him shalt thou cleave, and by His name shalt thou swear.
20จงยำเกรงพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ รับใช้พระองค์ ยึดมั่นในพระองค์ และสาบานโดยอ้างพระนามของพระองค์
21He is thy glory, and He is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and tremendous things, which thine eyes have seen.
21พระองค์คือผู้ที่พวกคุณสรรเสริญ และพระองค์คือพระเจ้าของพวกคุณ ผู้ทรงทำสิ่งยิ่งใหญ่และน่าเกรงขามเหล่านี้ที่พวกคุณเห็นมากับตา
22Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
22บรรพบุรุษของพวกคุณลงไปอียิปต์มีเพียงเจ็ดสิบคน แต่บัดนี้พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณทรงทำให้มีจำนวนมากเหมือนดวงดาวบนท้องฟ้า
