1These are the statutes and the ordinances, which ye shall observe to do in the land which the LORD, the God of thy fathers, hath given thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
1ต่อไปนี้คือข้อกำหนดและกฎเกณฑ์ที่พวกคุณต้องระมัดระวังทำตามในแผ่นดินที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของบรรพบุรุษประทานให้เข้าครอบครอง ตลอดเวลาที่มีชีวิตอยู่บนแผ่นดินโลก
2Ye shall surely destroy all the places, wherein the nations that ye are to dispossess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every leafy tree.
2จงทำลายสถานที่ทุกแห่งที่ชนชาติซึ่งพวกคุณกำลังจะขับไล่ออกไปเคยใช้ปรนนิบัติเทพเจ้าของตน ไม่ว่าจะอยู่บนภูเขาสูง บนเนินเขา หรือใต้ต้นไม้เขียวชอุ่มทุกต้น
3And ye shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods; and ye shall destroy their name out of that place.
3จงรื้อแท่นบูชาของพวกเขา ทุบเสาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ให้แตก เผาเสาอาเชราห์ และโค่นรูปแกะสลักของเทพเจ้าเหล่านั้น จงทำให้ชื่อของเทพเจ้าเหล่านั้นสูญไปจากสถานที่นั้น
4Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.
4อย่าปฏิบัติต่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณแบบนั้น
5But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put His name there, even unto His habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come;
5แต่จงไปยังสถานที่ที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณจะทรงเลือกจากทุกเผ่า เพื่อให้พระนามของพระองค์อยู่ที่นั่น จงแสวงหาที่พำนักของพระองค์และไปที่นั่น
6and thither ye shall bring your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill-offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock;
6ที่นั่นจงนำเครื่องเผาบูชา เครื่องบูชา ส่วนสิบ ของถวายโบก ของที่ถวายตามคำปฏิญาณ ของถวายด้วยความสมัครใจ และลูกหัวปีของฝูงวัวกับฝูงแกะไปถวาย
7and there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
7ที่นั่นพวกคุณกับครอบครัวจะกินต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ และชื่นชมยินดีกับทุกสิ่งที่ลงมือทำ ซึ่งพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณทรงอวยพร
8Ye shall not do after all that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes;
8อย่าทำเหมือนที่เราทำกันอยู่ที่นี่ในวันนี้ ซึ่งแต่ละคนทำตามที่ตัวเองเห็นว่าถูกต้อง
9for ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth thee.
9เพราะพวกคุณยังมาไม่ถึงที่พักสงบและมรดกที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณกำลังประทานให้
10But when ye go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God causeth you to inherit, and He giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;
10แต่เมื่อข้ามแม่น้ำจอร์แดนไปและอาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณทรงให้เป็นมรดก และพระองค์ทรงให้พักจากศัตรูรอบด้านจนอยู่อย่างปลอดภัยแล้ว
11then it shall come to pass that the place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause His name to dwell there, thither shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD.
11จงนำทุกสิ่งที่ผมสั่งไปยังสถานที่ที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณจะทรงเลือกให้พระนามของพระองค์อยู่ที่นั่น ได้แก่ เครื่องเผาบูชา เครื่องบูชา ส่วนสิบ ของถวายโบก และของถวายตามคำปฏิญาณทั้งหมดที่พวกคุณเลือกถวายแด่พระยาห์เวห์
12And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your men-servants, and your maid-servants, and the Levite that is within your gates, forasmuch as he hath no portion nor inheritance with you.
12จงชื่นชมยินดีต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ ทั้งตัวพวกคุณ ลูกชาย ลูกสาว ทาสชาย ทาสหญิง และคนเลวีที่อยู่ในเมืองของพวกคุณ เพราะคนเลวีไม่มีส่วนแบ่งหรือมรดกร่วมกับพวกคุณ
13Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt-offerings in every place that thou seest;
13ระวังอย่าถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาในสถานที่ใดก็ตามที่พวกคุณเห็นชอบ
14but in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.
14แต่ให้ถวายเครื่องเผาบูชาในสถานที่ที่พระยาห์เวห์จะทรงเลือกในเผ่าหนึ่งของพวกคุณ และที่นั่นจงทำทุกสิ่งที่ผมสั่ง
15Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh within all thy gates, after all the desire of thy soul, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which He hath given thee; the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart.
15อย่างไรก็ตาม พวกคุณฆ่าสัตว์และกินเนื้อได้ภายในเมืองของตนตามที่อยากกิน ตามพระพรที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณประทานให้ ทั้งผู้ที่ไม่สะอาดและผู้ที่สะอาดกินได้ เหมือนกินเนื้อกาเซลล์หรือกวาง
16Only ye shall not eat the blood; thou shalt pour it out upon the earth as water.
16แต่อย่ากินเลือด จงเทเลือดลงบนพื้นเหมือนเทน้ำ
17Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thine oil, or the firstlings of thy herd or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill-offerings, nor the offering of thy hand;
17ภายในเมืองของตน พวกคุณห้ามกินส่วนสิบจากธัญพืช เหล้าองุ่นใหม่ หรือน้ำมัน ลูกหัวปีของฝูงวัวหรือฝูงแกะ ของที่ถวายตามคำปฏิญาณ ของถวายด้วยความสมัครใจ หรือของถวายโบก
18but thou shalt eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates; and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thy hand unto.
18แต่จงกินสิ่งเหล่านี้ต่อหน้าพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ ในสถานที่ที่พระองค์จะทรงเลือก ทั้งตัวพวกคุณ ลูกชาย ลูกสาว ทาสชาย ทาสหญิง และคนเลวีที่อยู่ในเมือง จงชื่นชมยินดีต่อหน้าพระองค์กับทุกสิ่งที่ลงมือทำ
19Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon thy land.
19ตราบใดที่อาศัยอยู่ในแผ่นดินของตน อย่าทอดทิ้งคนเลวี
20When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as He hath promised thee, and thou shalt say: 'I will eat flesh', because thy soul desireth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, after all the desire of thy soul.
20เมื่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณทรงขยายเขตแดนตามที่ทรงสัญญา และพวกคุณพูดว่า ‘อยากกินเนื้อ’ เพราะใจอยากกินเนื้อ ก็จะกินเนื้อได้ตามที่อยากกิน
21If the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to put His name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat within thy gates, after all the desire of thy soul.
21ถ้าสถานที่ที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณจะทรงเลือกให้พระนามของพระองค์อยู่ที่นั่นอยู่ไกลเกินไป ก็ฆ่าวัวหรือแกะจากฝูงที่พระยาห์เวห์ประทานให้ตามที่ผมสั่ง แล้วกินภายในเมืองของตนได้ตามที่อยากกิน
22Howbeit as the gazelle and as the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat thereof; the unclean and the clean may eat thereof alike.
22กินได้เหมือนกินเนื้อกาเซลล์หรือกวาง ทั้งผู้ที่ไม่สะอาดและผู้ที่สะอาดกินได้เหมือนกัน
23Only be stedfast in not eating the blood; for the blood is the life; and thou shalt not eat the life with the flesh.
23แต่ต้องแน่ใจว่าไม่กินเลือด เพราะเลือดคือชีวิต จึงอย่ากินเลือดไปพร้อมกับเนื้อ
24Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it out upon the earth as water.
24อย่ากินเลือด จงเทลงบนพื้นเหมือนเทน้ำ
25Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD.
25อย่ากินเลือด เพื่อพวกคุณและลูกหลานรุ่นหลังจะอยู่ดีมีสุข เมื่อทำสิ่งที่ถูกต้องในสายตาของพระยาห์เวห์
26Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose;
26ส่วนของบริสุทธิ์ที่พวกคุณมีและของที่ถวายตามคำปฏิญาณ จงนำไปยังสถานที่ที่พระยาห์เวห์จะทรงเลือก
27and thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God; and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out against the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
27จงถวายเครื่องเผาบูชา ทั้งเนื้อและเลือด บนแท่นบูชาของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ ส่วนเลือดของเครื่องบูชาให้เทลงบนแท่นบูชาของพระองค์ แล้วพวกคุณจึงกินเนื้อได้
28Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.
28จงฟังและระมัดระวังทำตามถ้อยคำทั้งหมดที่ผมกำลังสั่ง เพื่อพวกคุณและลูกหลานรุ่นหลังจะอยู่ดีมีสุขตลอดไป เมื่อทำสิ่งที่ดีและถูกต้องในสายตาของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ
29When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest in to dispossess them, and thou dispossessest them, and dwellest in their land;
29เมื่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณทรงกำจัดชนชาติที่พวกคุณกำลังจะเข้าไปขับไล่ และเมื่อพวกคุณขับไล่พวกเขาแล้วเข้าไปอาศัยในแผ่นดินของพวกเขา
30take heed to thyself that thou be not ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying: 'How used these nations to serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.'
30จงระวัง อย่าหลงติดตามวิถีของพวกเขาหลังจากชนชาติเหล่านั้นถูกกำจัดไปแล้ว และอย่าไต่ถามถึงเทพเจ้าของพวกเขาว่า ‘ชนชาติเหล่านี้ปรนนิบัติเทพเจ้าของตนอย่างไร? ฉันจะทำแบบเดียวกัน’
31Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God; for every abomination to the LORD, which He hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.
31อย่าปรนนิบัติพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณแบบนั้น เพราะพวกเขาทำสิ่งน่าสะอิดสะเอียนทุกอย่างที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงเกลียดเพื่อปรนนิบัติเทพเจ้าของตน ถึงกับเผาลูกชายและลูกสาวในไฟถวายแก่เทพเจ้า
32(13-1) All this word which I command you, that shall ye observe to do; thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
32ทุกสิ่งที่ผมสั่ง จงระมัดระวังทำตาม อย่าเพิ่มอะไรเข้าไปและอย่าตัดอะไรออก
