1Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep His charge, and His statutes, and His ordinances, and His commandments, alway.
1เพราะฉะนั้น จงรักพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ และยึดถือคำสั่งสอน ข้อกำหนด กฎเกณฑ์ และพระบัญชาของพระองค์เสมอ
2And know ye this day; for I speak not with your children that have not known, and that have not seen the chastisement of the LORD your God, His greatness, His mighty hand, and His outstretched arm,
2วันนี้พวกคุณจงตระหนักไว้ว่า ผมไม่ได้พูดกับลูก ๆ ของพวกคุณที่ไม่เคยรู้และไม่เคยเห็นการลงโทษสั่งสอนของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ ทั้งความยิ่งใหญ่ มืออันทรงพลัง และแขนที่เหยียดออกของพระองค์
3and His signs, and His works, which He did in the midst of Egypt unto Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and unto all his land;
3พวกเขาไม่เคยเห็นหมายสำคัญและการกระทำที่พระองค์ทรงทำในอียิปต์ต่อฟาโรห์กษัตริย์แห่งอียิปต์และทั่วแผ่นดินของเขา
4and what He did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how He made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD hath destroyed them unto this day;
4ไม่เคยเห็นสิ่งที่พระองค์ทรงทำกับกองทัพอียิปต์ ม้า และรถรบของพวกเขา เมื่อพระองค์ทรงให้น้ำทะเลแดงท่วมพวกเขาขณะไล่ตามพวกคุณ จนพระยาห์เวห์ทรงทำให้พวกเขาพินาศและไม่เหลือมาถึงทุกวันนี้
5and what He did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came unto this place;
5พวกเขาไม่เคยเห็นสิ่งที่พระองค์ทรงทำกับพวกคุณในถิ่นทุรกันดารจนมาถึงที่นี่
6and what He did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and every living substance that followed them, in the midst of all Israel;
6และไม่เคยเห็นสิ่งที่พระองค์ทรงทำกับดาธานและอาบีรัม บุตรของเอลีอับบุตรรูเบน เมื่อแผ่นดินอ้าปากกลืนพวกเขา ครอบครัว เต็นท์ และทุกชีวิตที่ติดตามพวกเขา ท่ามกลางอิสราเอลทั้งหมด
7but your eyes have seen all the great work of the LORD which He did.
7แต่พวกคุณเองได้เห็นมากับตาแล้วว่า พระยาห์เวห์ทรงทำการงานยิ่งใหญ่ทั้งหมดนี้
8Therefore shall ye keep all the commandment which I command thee this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go over to possess it;
8เพราะฉะนั้น จงรักษาพระบัญชาทั้งหมดที่ผมกำลังสั่งในวันนี้ เพื่อพวกคุณจะมีกำลังและเข้าไปครอบครองแผ่นดินที่กำลังข้ามไปเข้าครอบครอง
9and that ye may prolong your days upon the land, which the LORD swore unto your fathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land flowing with milk and honey.
9และเพื่อจะมีชีวิตยืนยาวในแผ่นดินที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงปฏิญาณไว้กับบรรพบุรุษว่าจะประทานแก่พวกเขาและลูกหลาน เป็นแผ่นดินที่อุดมด้วยน้ำนมและน้ำผึ้ง
10For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou didst sow thy seed, and didst water it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs;
10เพราะแผ่นดินที่พวกคุณกำลังเข้าไปครอบครองไม่เหมือนแผ่นดินอียิปต์ที่ออกมา ที่นั่นเมื่อหว่านเมล็ดแล้ว พวกคุณต้องชักน้ำด้วยเท้าไปรดเหมือนสวนผัก
11but the land, whither ye go over to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water as the rain of heaven cometh down;
11แต่แผ่นดินที่กำลังข้ามไปครอบครองเป็นแผ่นดินแห่งเนินเขาและหุบเขา ซึ่งดื่มน้ำจากฝนบนฟ้า
12a land which the LORD thy God careth for; the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
12เป็นแผ่นดินที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณทรงดูแล พระองค์ทรงเฝ้ามองแผ่นดินนั้นอยู่เสมอ ตั้งแต่ต้นปีจนถึงปลายปี
13And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto My commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
13ถ้าพวกคุณตั้งใจฟังพระบัญชาที่ผมกำลังสั่งในวันนี้ คือรักพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณและรับใช้พระองค์ด้วยทั้งใจและทั้งชีวิต
14that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
14เราจะให้ฝนตกบนแผ่นดินของพวกคุณตามฤดูกาล ทั้งฝนต้นฤดูและฝนปลายฤดู เพื่อพวกคุณจะเก็บเกี่ยวธัญพืช เหล้าองุ่นใหม่ และน้ำมัน
15And I will give grass in thy fields for thy cattle, and thou shalt eat and be satisfied.
15เราจะให้หญ้าขึ้นในทุ่งสำหรับปศุสัตว์ และพวกคุณจะมีกินจนอิ่ม
16Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
16จงระวัง อย่าให้ใจหลงผิดจนหันไปรับใช้และกราบไหว้พระอื่น
17and the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and He shut up the heaven, so that there shall be no rain, and the ground shall not yield her fruit; and ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
17มิฉะนั้นพระยาห์เวห์จะทรงกริ้วพวกคุณและปิดท้องฟ้า ไม่ให้ฝนตก แผ่นดินจะไม่เกิดผล แล้วพวกคุณจะพินาศอย่างรวดเร็วจากแผ่นดินอันดีที่พระยาห์เวห์ประทานให้
18Therefore shall ye lay up these My words in your heart and in your soul; and ye shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.
18เพราะฉะนั้น จงเก็บถ้อยคำเหล่านี้ของผมไว้ในใจและในชีวิต ผูกไว้ที่มือเป็นเครื่องหมาย และให้เป็นเครื่องคาดหน้าผากระหว่างตา
19And ye shall teach them your children, talking of them, when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
19จงสอนลูก ๆ และพูดถึงถ้อยคำเหล่านี้เมื่ออยู่ในบ้าน เมื่อเดินตามทาง เมื่อเข้านอน และเมื่อตื่นขึ้น
20And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates;
20จงเขียนไว้ที่วงกบประตูบ้านและที่ประตูเมือง
21that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, upon the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.
21เพื่อพวกคุณและลูกหลานจะมีชีวิตยืนยาวในแผ่นดินที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงปฏิญาณไว้กับบรรพบุรุษว่าจะประทานให้ ตราบนานเท่าที่ฟ้าสวรรค์อยู่เหนือแผ่นดิน
22For if ye shall diligently keep all this commandment which I command you, to do it, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, and to cleave unto Him,
22เพราะถ้าพวกคุณรักษาพระบัญชาทั้งหมดที่ผมกำลังสั่งไว้อย่างเคร่งครัด คือทำตาม รักพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ ดำเนินตามทุกทางของพระองค์ และยึดมั่นในพระองค์
23then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.
23พระยาห์เวห์ก็จะทรงขับไล่ชนชาติทั้งหมดเหล่านี้ออกไป และพวกคุณจะเข้าครอบครองแทนชนชาติที่ใหญ่และมีกำลังมากกว่าพวกคุณ
24Every place whereon the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness, and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the hinder sea shall be your border.
24ทุกแห่งที่ฝ่าเท้าของพวกคุณเหยียบจะเป็นของพวกคุณ ตั้งแต่ถิ่นทุรกันดารและเลบานอน จากแม่น้ำคือแม่น้ำยูเฟรติส ไปจนถึงทะเลตะวันตก จะเป็นเขตแดนของพวกคุณ
25There shall no man be able to stand against you: the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as He hath spoken unto you.
25จะไม่มีใครยืนต้านพวกคุณได้ พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณจะทรงทำให้ความหวาดกลัวและความครั่นคร้ามต่อพวกคุณปกคลุมทั่วแผ่นดินที่พวกคุณเหยียบย่าง ตามที่พระองค์ตรัสไว้
26Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:
26ดูเถิด วันนี้ผมประกาศต่อพวกคุณทั้งพรและคำสาป
27the blessing, if ye shall hearken unto the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day;
27พรจะเกิดขึ้นถ้าพวกคุณฟังพระบัญชาของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณที่ผมกำลังสั่งในวันนี้
28and the curse, if ye shall not hearken unto the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
28ส่วนคำสาปจะเกิดขึ้นถ้าไม่ฟังพระบัญชาของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ แต่หันออกจากทางที่ผมกำลังสั่งในวันนี้ ไปติดตามพระอื่นที่พวกคุณไม่เคยรู้จัก
29And it shall come to pass, when the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt set the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.
29เมื่อพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณทรงนำเข้าไปในแผ่นดินที่กำลังไปครอบครอง จงประกาศพรที่ภูเขาเกริซิม และประกาศคำสาปที่ภูเขาเอบาล
30Are they not beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites that dwell in the Arabah, over against Gilgal, beside the terebinths of Moreh?
30ภูเขาทั้งสองนั้นอยู่เลยแม่น้ำจอร์แดนไป ทางฝั่งตะวันตกของถนน ในแผ่นดินของชาวคานาอันที่อาศัยอยู่ในอาราบาห์ ใกล้กิลกาล ข้างต้นโอ๊กแห่งโมเรห์ ไม่ใช่หรือ?
31For ye are to pass over the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell therein.
31เพราะพวกคุณกำลังจะข้ามแม่น้ำจอร์แดน เข้าไปครอบครองแผ่นดินที่พระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณประทานให้ แล้วพวกคุณจะครอบครองและอาศัยอยู่ที่นั่น
32And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you this day.
32จงระมัดระวังทำตามข้อกำหนดและกฎเกณฑ์ทั้งหมดที่ผมประกาศแก่พวกคุณในวันนี้
