1モーセとアロンに率いられ、部隊ごとにエジプトの地から出たイスラエルの子らの旅程は次のとおりである。
1These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
2モーセは主の命令によって、旅の出発地を書き記した。出発地ごとの旅程は次のとおりである。
2And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD : and these are their journeys according to their goings out.
3彼らは第一の月の十五日にラメセスを旅立った。過越の翌日、イスラエルの子らはすべてのエジプト人が見ている前を、堂々と出て行った。
3And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
4エジプト人は、主が彼らの間で打たれた長子を葬っていた。主はまた、彼らの神々に裁きを下された。
4For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.
5イスラエルの子らはラメセスを旅立ち、スコテに宿営した。
5And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.
6彼らはスコテを旅立ち、荒野の端にあるエタムに宿営した。
6And they departed from Succoth, and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
7彼らはエタムを旅立ち、バアル・ツェフォンの前にあるピ・ハヒロトに引き返し、ミグドルの前に宿営した。
7And they removed from Etham, and turned again unto Pi-hahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon: and they pitched before Migdol.
8彼らはハヒロトの前を旅立ち、海の中を通って荒野へ出た。そしてエタムの荒野を三日間の道のりで進み、マラに宿営した。
8And they departed from before Pi-hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah.
9彼らはマラを旅立ち、エリムに着いた。エリムには十二の水の泉と七十本のなつめやしの木があり、彼らはそこに宿営した。
9And they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve fountains of water, and threescore and ten palm trees; and they pitched there.
10彼らはエリムを旅立ち、紅海のほとりに宿営した。
10And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.
11彼らは紅海を旅立ち、シンの荒野に宿営した。
11And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.
12彼らはシンの荒野を旅立ち、ドフカに宿営した。
12And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.
13彼らはドフカを旅立ち、アルシュに宿営した。
13And they departed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.
14彼らはアルシュを旅立ち、レフィディムに宿営したが、そこには民が飲むための水がなかった。
14And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.
15彼らはレフィディムを旅立ち、シナイの荒野に宿営した。
15And they departed from Rephidim, and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.
16彼らはシナイの荒野を旅立ち、キブロト・ハタアワに宿営した。
16And they removed from the desert of Sinai, and pitched at Kibroth-hattaavah.
17彼らはキブロト・ハタアワを旅立ち、ハツェロトに宿営した。
17And they departed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.
18彼らはハツェロトを旅立ち、リトマに宿営した。
18And they departed from Hazeroth, and pitched in Rithmah.
19彼らはリトマを旅立ち、リモン・ペレツに宿営した。
19And they departed from Rithmah, and pitched at Rimmon-parez.
20彼らはリモン・ペレツを旅立ち、リブナに宿営した。
20And they departed from Rimmon-parez, and pitched in Libnah.
21彼らはリブナを旅立ち、リサに宿営した。
21And they removed from Libnah, and pitched at Rissah.
22彼らはリサを旅立ち、ケヘラタに宿営した。
22And they journeyed from Rissah, and pitched in Kehelathah.
23彼らはケヘラタを旅立ち、シェフェル山に宿営した。
23And they went from Kehelathah, and pitched in mount Shapher.
24彼らはシェフェル山を旅立ち、ハラダに宿営した。
24And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.
25彼らはハラダを旅立ち、マクヘロトに宿営した。
25And they removed from Haradah, and pitched in Makheloth.
26彼らはマクヘロトを旅立ち、タハトに宿営した。
26And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.
27彼らはタハトを旅立ち、テラに宿営した。
27And they departed from Tahath, and pitched at Tarah.
28彼らはテラを旅立ち、ミトカに宿営した。
28And they removed from Tarah, and pitched in Mithcah.
29彼らはミトカを旅立ち、ハシュモナに宿営した。
29And they went from Mithcah, and pitched in Hashmonah.
30彼らはハシュモナを旅立ち、モセロトに宿営した。
30And they departed from Hashmonah, and encamped at Moseroth.
31彼らはモセロトを旅立ち、ベネ・ヤアカンに宿営した。
31And they departed from Moseroth, and pitched in Bene-jaakan.
32彼らはベネ・ヤアカンを旅立ち、ホル・ハギデガドに宿営した。
32And they removed from Bene-jaakan, and encamped at Hor-hagidgad.
33彼らはホル・ハギデガドを旅立ち、ヨトバタに宿営した。
33And they went from Hor-hagidgad, and pitched in Jotbathah.
34彼らはヨトバタを旅立ち、アブロナに宿営した。
34And they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Ebronah.
35彼らはアブロナを旅立ち、エツヨン・ゲベルに宿営した。
35And they departed from Ebronah, and encamped at Ezion-gaber.
36彼らはエツヨン・ゲベルを旅立ち、ツィンの荒野、すなわちカデシュに宿営した。
36And they removed from Ezion-gaber, and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.
37彼らはカデシュを旅立ち、エドムの地の端にあるホル山に宿営した。
37And they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.
38祭司アロンは主の命令によってホル山に登り、そこで死んだ。それはイスラエルの子らがエジプトの地から出た後の第四十年目の、第五の月の最初の日のことであった。
38And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD , and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.
39アロンがホル山で死んだとき、彼は百二十三歳であった。
39And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.
40カナンの地の南部に住むカナン人、アラドの王は、イスラエルの子らが来ると聞いた。
40And king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.
41彼らはホル山を旅立ち、ツァルモナに宿営した。
41And they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmonah.
42彼らはツァルモナを旅立ち、プノンに宿営した。
42And they departed from Zalmonah, and pitched in Punon.
43彼らはプノンを旅立ち、オボテに宿営した。
43And they departed from Punon, and pitched in Oboth.
44彼らはオボテを旅立ち、モアブの境界にあるイエ・アバリムに宿営した。
44And they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Ije-abarim, in the border of Moab.
45彼らはイイムを旅立ち、ディボン・ガドに宿営した。
45And they departed from Iim, and pitched in Dibon-gad.
46彼らはディボン・ガドを旅立ち、アルモン・ディブラタイムに宿営した。
46And they removed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.
47彼らはアルモン・ディブラタイムを旅立ち、ネボの前にあるアバリムの山々に宿営した。
47And they removed from Almon-diblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
48彼らはアバリムの山々を旅立ち、エリコの向かい側にあるヨルダン川のほとりのモアブの平野に宿営した。
48And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
49彼らはモアブの平野にあるベテ・エシモトからアベル・シティムに至るまでの、ヨルダン川のほとりに宿営した。
49And they pitched by Jordan, from Beth-jesimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.
50主はエリコの向かい、ヨルダン川のほとりのモアブの平野で、モーセに告げられた。
50¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
51「イスラエルの子らにこう告げなさい。『ヨルダン川を渡ってカナンの地に入るとき、
51Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
52その地の住民をすべて追い出し、彫刻した石像をすべて壊し、鋳造した像をすべて壊し、高き所をことごとく破壊しなさい。
52Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
53その地を占領し、そこに住みなさい。わたしがその地を、所有するためにあなたがたに与えたからである。
53And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
54氏族ごとにくじを引いて、その地を相続地として受け継ぎなさい。人数の多い部族には多く、少ない部族には少なく与える。くじが当たった所が、その者の相続地となる。父祖の部族に従って受け継ぎなさい。
54And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
55しかし、その地の住民を追い出さないなら、残した者たちは目のとげ、脇腹のいばらとなり、あなたがたの住む地で苦しめる。
55But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
56そして、わたしが彼らに行おうとしたことを、あなたがたに行う。』」
56Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.
