1主はモーセに言われた。
1And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
2「イスラエルの子らに告げなさい。『わたしはあなたがたの神、主である。
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: I am the LORD your God.
3あなたがたが住んでいたエジプトの地のならわしに従ってはならない。わたしが導き入れるカナンの地のならわしにも従ってはならない。彼らの掟に従って歩んではならない。
3After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do; and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do; neither shall ye walk in their statutes.
4あなたがたはわたしの法を行いなさい。わたしの掟を守り、それに従って歩みなさい。わたしはあなたがたの神、主である。
4Mine ordinances shall ye do, and My statutes shall ye keep, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
5それゆえ、あなたがたはわたしの掟と法を守りなさい。人がそれを行うなら、それによって生きる。わたしは主である。
5Ye shall therefore keep My statutes, and Mine ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live by them: I am the LORD.
6『あなたがたのだれも、近い肉親に近づいて、その裸を暴いてはならない。わたしは主である。
6None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness. I am the LORD.
7『あなたは父の裸、また母の裸を暴いてはならない。彼女はあなたの母である。彼女の裸を暴いてはならない。
7The nakedness of thy father, and the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8『あなたは父の妻の裸を暴いてはならない。それは父の裸である。
8The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
9『あなたは自分の姉妹、すなわち父の娘、あるいは母の娘の裸を暴いてはならない。家で生まれた者でも、外で生まれた者でも同じである。
9The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
10『あなたは息子の娘、あるいは娘の娘の裸を暴いてはならない。彼女たちの裸はあなた自身の裸だからである。
10The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover; for theirs is thine own nakedness.
11『あなたは父の妻の娘の裸を暴いてはならない。彼女は父によって生まれた者であり、あなたの姉妹だからである。
11The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
12『あなたは父の姉妹の裸を暴いてはならない。彼女は父の近親者である。
12Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.
13『あなたは母の姉妹の裸を暴いてはならない。彼女は母の近親者だからである。
13Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister; for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.
14『あなたは父の兄弟の裸を暴いてはならない。あなたは彼の妻に近づいてはならない。彼女はあなたのおばである。
14Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy fathers brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.
15『あなたは息子の妻の裸を暴いてはならない。彼女は息子の妻である。あなたは彼女の裸を暴いてはならない。
15Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law: she is thy son' wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
16『あなたは兄弟の妻の裸を暴いてはならない。それは兄弟の裸である。
16Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.
17『女とその娘の裸をあらわにしてはならない。また、その女の息子の娘や娘の娘をめとって、その裸をあらわにしてはならない。彼女たちは近親者である。それは邪悪なことである。
17Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter; thou shalt not take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness: they are near kinswomen; it is lewdness.
18『あなたは妻が生きている間に、その姉妹をめとって妻の競争相手とし、その裸を暴いてはならない。
18And thou shalt not take a woman to her sister, to be a rival to her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her lifetime.
19『あなたは女が月経によって汚れている間、彼女に近づいてその裸を暴いてはならない。
19And thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.
20『隣人の妻と交わり、それによって身を汚してはならない。
20And thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.
21『あなたは自分の子どもをモレクへのいけにえとして渡してはならない。あなたは自分の神の御名を汚してはならない。わたしは主である。
21And thou shalt not give any of thy seed to set them apart to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
22『あなたは女と寝るように男と寝てはならない。それは忌まわしいことである。
22Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination.
23『どんな動物とも交わり、それによって身を汚してはならない。女も動物に身をゆだねて交わってはならない。それは倒錯した行為である。
23And thou shalt not lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith; neither shall any woman stand before a beast, to lie down thereto; it is perversion.
24『これらのどのことにおいても、自分たちを汚してはならない。わたしがあなたがたの前から追い出そうとしている国々は、これらすべてのことによって汚されたからである。
24Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations are defiled, which I cast out from before you.
25その地は汚された。それゆえわたしはその咎を罰し、その地はそこの住民を吐き出したのである。
25And the land was defiled, therefore I did visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.
26それゆえ、あなたがたはわたしの掟と法を守り、これらの忌まわしいことをいっさい行ってはならない。その地に生まれた者も、あなたがたの間に住む寄留者も同様である。
26Ye therefore shall keep My statutes and Mine ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the home-born, nor the stranger that sojourneth among you —
27あなたがたよりも前にいたその地の人々が、これらすべての忌まわしいことを行い、その地が汚されたからである。
27for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land is defiled —
28あなたがたがその地を汚すとき、あなたがたよりも前にいた国民を吐き出したように、その地があなたがたを吐き出さないためである。
28that the land vomit not you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
29『これらの忌まわしいことを行う者はだれでも、それを行うその人は自分の民の中から断たれるからである。
29For whosoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.
30それゆえ、あなたがたはわたしの命令を守り、あなたがたの前に実行されていたこれらの忌まわしい慣習をいっさい行わず、それらによって自分たちを汚さないようにしなさい。わたしはあなたがたの神、主である。』」
30Therefore shall ye keep My charge, that ye do not any of these abominable customs, which were done before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
