1八日目に、モーセはアロンとその子ら、そしてイスラエルの長老たちを呼び寄せた。
1And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;
2そしてアロンに言った。「贖罪のささげ物として牛の群れから子牛を、全焼のささげ物として雄羊を、傷のないものとして取り、主の前にささげなさい。
2and he said unto Aaron: 'Take thee a bull-calf for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.
3またイスラエルの子らに告げなさい。『贖罪のささげ物として雄山羊を一頭、全焼のささげ物として、いずれも一歳の傷のない子牛と子羊を取りなさい。
3And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying: Take ye a he-goat for a sin-offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt-offering;
4また和解のいけにえとして、主の前でいけにえをささげるために雄牛と雄羊を、そして油を混ぜた穀物のささげ物を取りなさい。今日、主があなたがたに現れるからである。』」
4and an ox and a ram for peace-offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meal-offering mingled with oil; for to-day the LORD appeareth unto you.'
5彼らはモーセが命じたものを会見の天幕の前に持って来た。全会衆が近づき、主の前に立った。
5And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tent of meeting; and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.
6モーセは言った。「これは、あなたがたが行うように主が命じられたことである。そうすれば、主の栄光があなたがたに現れる。」
6And Moses said: 'This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do; that the glory of the LORD may appear unto you.'
7モーセはアロンに言った。「祭壇に近づき、あなたの贖罪のささげ物と全焼のささげ物をささげて、あなた自身と民のために贖いを行いなさい。そして、主が命じられた通りに、民のささげ物をささげて、彼らのために贖いを行いなさい。」
7And Moses said unto Aaron: 'Draw near unto the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for the people; and present the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.'
8そこでアロンは祭壇に近づき、自分のための贖罪のささげ物である子牛を屠った。
8So Aaron drew near unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin-offering, which was for himself.
9アロンの子らは彼に血を差し出した。彼は指を血に浸し、それを祭壇の角に塗り、残りの血を祭壇の土台に注ぎ出した。
9And the sons of Aaron presented the blood unto him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar.
10しかし、贖罪のささげ物の脂肪と、腎臓と、肝臓の覆いは、主がモーセに命じられた通りに祭壇の上で燃やした。
10But the fat, and the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver of the sin-offering, he made smoke upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.
11肉と皮は宿営の外で火で焼いた。
11And the flesh and the skin were burnt with fire without the camp.
12彼は全焼のささげ物を屠った。アロンの子らは彼に血を渡し、彼はそれを祭壇の周囲に振りかけた。
12And he slew the burnt-offering; and Aaron's sons delivered unto him the blood, and he dashed it against the altar round about.
13彼らは全焼のささげ物を、切り分けた部分ごとに、また頭を彼に渡した。彼はそれらを祭壇の上で燃やした。
13And they delivered the burnt-offering unto him, piece by piece, and the head; and he made them smoke upon the altar.
14彼は内臓と足を洗い、祭壇の上の全焼のささげ物の上でそれらを燃やした。
14And he washed the inwards and the legs, and made them smoke upon the burnt-offering on the altar.
15彼は民のささげ物をささげた。民のための贖罪のささげ物の山羊を取り、それを屠り、最初のものと同じように罪のためにそれをささげた。
15And the people's offering was presented; and he took the goat of the sin-offering which was for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.
16彼は全焼のささげ物をささげ、定めに従ってそれをささげた。
16And the burnt-offering was presented; and he offered it according to the ordinance.
17彼は穀物のささげ物をささげ、そこから手いっぱいに取り、朝の全焼のささげ物に加えて祭壇の上でそれを燃やした。
17And the meal-offering was presented; and he filled his hand therefrom, and made it smoke upon the altar, besides the burnt-offering of the morning.
18彼はまた、民のための和解のいけにえである雄牛と雄羊を屠った。アロンの子らは彼に血を渡し、彼はそれを祭壇の周囲に振りかけた。
18He slew also the ox and the ram, the sacrifice of peace-offerings, which was for the people; and Aaron's sons delivered unto him the blood, and he dashed it against the altar round about,
19雄牛と雄羊の脂肪、すなわち脂尾、内臓を覆うもの、腎臓、そして肝臓の覆い、
19and the fat of the ox, and of the ram, the fat tail, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver.
20彼らはその脂肪を胸の上に置き、彼はその脂肪を祭壇の上で燃やした。
20And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he made the fat smoke upon the altar.
21モーセが命じた通り、アロンは胸と右のももを主の前で揺り動かすささげ物として揺り動かした。
21And the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave-offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.
22アロンは民に向かって両手を上げて彼らを祝福した。そして贖罪のささげ物、全焼のささげ物、和解のいけにえをささげ終えて降りて来た。
22And Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people, and blessed them; and he came down from offering the sin-offering, and the burnt-offering, and the peace-offerings.
23モーセとアロンは会見の天幕に入り、そして出て来て民を祝福した。すると主の栄光がすべての民に現れた。
23And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and came out, and blessed the people; and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.
24主の前から火が出て、祭壇の上の全焼のささげ物と脂肪を焼き尽くした。すべての民はこれを見て叫び声を上げ、ひれ伏した。
24And there came forth fire from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt-offering and the fat; and when all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
