1そこでシュア人ビルダデが答えた。
1Then Baldad the Suhite answered, and I said:
2主権と恐れは神とともにある。 神はその高い所で平和を造る。
2Power and terror are with him, who maketh peace in his high places.
3神の軍隊は数えられるだろうか。 神の光は誰の上に昇らないだろうか。
3Is there any numbering of his soldiers? and upon whom shall not his light arise?
4それなら、どうして人が神の御前に義とされようか。 あるいは、女から生まれた者がどうしてきよくあり得ようか。
4Can man be justified compared with God, or he that is born of a woman appear clean?
5見よ、月でさえ輝きがなく、 星々も神の御目にはきよくない。
5Behold even the moon doth not shine, and the stars are not pure in his sight.
6まして、人は虫にすぎず、 人の子はうじ虫にすぎない。
6How much less man that is rottenness and the son of man who is a worm?
