1イスラエルの子らのうち、父祖の家のかしら、千人隊と百人隊の長、および彼らに属する役人たちは、年間を通じて月ごとに交替し、各組に分かれて王に仕えた。各組は二万四千人であった。
1Now the children of Israel after their number, to wit, the heads of fathers' houses and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers that served the king, in any matter of the courses which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course were twenty and four thousand.
2第一の月の第一組を率いたのは、ザブディエルの子ヤショブアムで、その組は二万四千人であった。
2Over the first course for the first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
3彼はペレツの子孫で、第一の月に仕える軍のすべての隊長の長であった。
3Of the children of Perez was he, and the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.
4第二の月の組を率いたのはアホア人ドダイで、その組には指揮官ミクロテがいた。その組は二万四千人であった。
4And over the course of the second month was Dodai the Ahohite, and his course, and Mikloth the ruler; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
5第三の月の第三の軍団長は、大祭司エホヤダの子ベナヤで、その組は二万四千人であった。
5The third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the priest, chief; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
6このベナヤは三十人の勇士の一人で、その三十人を率いた者である。彼の子アミザバドがその組に属していた。
6This is that Benaiah, who was the mighty man of the thirty, and over the thirty; and of his course was Ammizabad his son.
7第四の月の第四の隊長はヨアブの兄弟アサエルで、後にはその子ゼバドヤが務めた。その組は二万四千人であった。
7The fourth captain for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
8第五の月の第五の隊長はイズラ人シャムフテで、その組は二万四千人であった。
8The fifth captain for the fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
9第六の月の第六の隊長はテコア人イケシュの子イラで、その組は二万四千人であった。
9The sixth captain for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
10第七の月の第七の隊長はエフライムの子孫であるペロニ人ヘレツで、その組は二万四千人であった。
10The seventh captain for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
11第八の月の第八の隊長はゼラ人に属するフシャ人シブカイで、その組は二万四千人であった。
11The eighth captain for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
12第九の月の第九の隊長はベニヤミン人に属するアナトテ人アビエゼルで、その組は二万四千人であった。
12The ninth captain for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
13第十の月の第十の隊長はゼラ人に属するネトファ人マハライで、その組は二万四千人であった。
13The tenth captain for the tenth month was Mahrai, the Netophathite, of the Zerahites; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
14第十一の月の第十一の隊長はエフライムの子孫であるピルアトン人ベナヤで、その組は二万四千人であった。
14The eleventh captain for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
15第十二の月の第十二の隊長はオテニエルの子孫であるネトファ人ヘルダイで、その組は二万四千人であった。
15The twelfth captain for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel; and in his course were twenty and four thousand.
16イスラエルの各部族を治めた者は次のとおりである。ルベン人ではジクリの子エリエゼル、シメオン人ではマアカの子シェファテヤ、
16Furthermore over the tribes of Israel: of the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri the ruler; of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maacah;
17レビではケムエルの子ハシャブヤ、アロンの家ではツァドク、
17of Levi, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel; of Aaron, Zadok;
18ユダではダビデの兄弟の一人エリフ、イッサカルではミカエルの子オムリ、
18of Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David; of Issachar, Omri the son of Michael;
19ゼブルンではオバデヤの子イシュマヤ、ナフタリではアズリエルの子エリモテ、
19of Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah; of Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of Azriel;
20エフライムの子らではアザズヤの子ホシェア、マナセの半部族ではペダヤの子ヨエル、
20of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah; of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah;
21ギルアデにいるマナセの半部族ではゼカリヤの子イド、ベニヤミンではアブネルの子ヤアシエル、
21of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah; of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner;
22ダンではエロハムの子アザルエル。以上がイスラエルの部族の長たちであった。
22of Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham. These were the captains of the tribes of Israel.
23ダビデは二十歳以下の者を数に入れなかった。主がイスラエルを天の星のように増やすと語られたからである。
23But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under; because the LORD had said He would increase Israel like to the stars of heaven.
24ツェルヤの子ヨアブは人口を数え始めたが、終えることができなかった。この人口調査のために御怒りがイスラエルに臨んだからである。その数はダビデ王の年代記の記録には載せられなかった。
24Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but finished not; and there came wrath for this upon Israel; neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of king David.
25王の宝物庫を管理したのはアディエルの子アズマベテ。野、町、村、塔にある倉を管理したのはウジヤの子ヨナタン。
25And over the king's treasuries was Azmaveth the son of Adiel; and over the treasuries in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the towers, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah;
26土地を耕す農夫たちを管理したのはケルブの子エズリ。
26and over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub;
27ぶどう畑を管理したのはラマ人シムイ。ぶどう畑の収穫をぶどう酒の倉に納める責任者はシフム人ザブディ。
27and over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite; and over the increase of the vineyards for the wine-cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite;
28低地にあるオリーブといちじく桑を管理したのはゲデル人バアル・ハナン。油の倉を管理したのはヨアシュ。
28and over the olive-trees and the sycomore-trees that were in the Lowland was Baal-hanan the Gederite; and over the cellars of oil was Joash;
29シャロンで草を食む牛の群れを管理したのはシャロン人シトライ。谷にいる牛の群れを管理したのはアドライの子シャファテ。
29and over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shirtai the Sharonite; and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai;
30らくだを管理したのはイシュマエル人オビル。ろばを管理したのはメロノテ人エフデヤ。羊の群れを管理したのはハガル人ヤジズ。
30and over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite; and over the asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite;
31以上がダビデ王の財産を管理した者たちであった。
31and over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagrite. All these were the rulers of the substance which was king David's.
32ダビデのおじヨナタンは助言者で、理解力のある書記官であった。ハクモニの子エヒエルは王の子らの世話をした。
32Also Jonathan David's uncle was a counsellor, a man of understanding, and a scribe; and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons;
33アヒトフェルは王の助言者、アルキ人フシャイは王の友であった。
33and Ahithophel was the king's counsellor; and Hushai the Archite was the king's friend;
34アヒトフェルの後にはベナヤの子エホヤダとアビヤタルが助言者となった。ヨアブは王の軍の司令官であった。
34and after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar; and the captain of the king's host was Joab.
