1門衛の組分けは次のとおりである。コラ人では、アサフの子孫であるコレの子メシェレムヤ。
1For the courses of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites: Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.
2メシェレムヤの子らは、長男ゼカリヤ、次男エディアエル、三男ゼバドヤ、四男ヤテニエル、
2And Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth;
3五男エラム、六男エホハナン、七男エルエホエナイ。
3Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.
4オベド・エドムの子らは、長男シェマヤ、次男エホザバド、三男ヨア、四男サカル、五男ネタヌエル、
4And Obed-edom had sons: Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth;
5六男アミエル、七男イッサカル、八男ペウレタイ。神がオベド・エドムを祝福されたからである。
5Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.
6その子シェマヤにも息子たちが生まれ、父祖の家を治めた。彼らは勇敢な力ある者だったからである。
6Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valour.
7シェマヤの子らは、オテニ、レファエル、オベド、エルザバド。また彼らの親族エリフとセマクヤも勇士であった。
7The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael and Obed and Elzabad his brethren, valiant men; Elihu also, and Semachiah.
8これらは皆オベド・エドムの子孫であり、彼らとその息子および兄弟たちは、奉仕に必要な力を備えた有能な者であった。オベド・エドムの子孫は六十二人。
8All these were of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men in strength for the service; threescore and two of Obed-edom.
9メシェレムヤには、勇士である息子と兄弟が十八人いた。
9And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, valiant men, eighteen.
10メラリの子孫ホサにも息子たちがいた。長はシムリであった。彼は長男ではなかったが、父が彼を長に任じたのである。
10Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief — for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief —
11次男はヒルキヤ、三男はテバルヤ、四男はゼカリヤ。ホサの息子と兄弟は全部で十三人であった。
11Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.
12以上が門衛の組分けである。これらの長たちも、兄弟たちと同じように、主の家で奉仕する務めを担った。
12These courses of the doorkeepers, even the chief men, had wards over against their brethren, to minister in the house of the LORD.
13彼らは父祖の家ごとに、年少者も年長者も同じように、各門の担当を決めるためくじを引いた。
13And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to their fathers' houses, for every gate.
14東の門のくじはシェレムヤに当たった。次に、賢明な助言者であった息子ゼカリヤのためにくじを引くと、北の門が当たった。
14And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a discreet counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.
15オベド・エドムには南の門が、その息子たちには倉が当たった。
15To Obed-edom southward; and to his sons the Storehouse.
16シュピムとホサには、西の門と、上り坂にあるシャレケテの門が当たった。番所は互いに向かい合っていた。
16To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goeth up, ward against ward.
17東にはレビ人が一日六人、北には一日四人、南には一日四人、倉には二人ずつ配置された。
17Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the Storehouse two and two.
18西側のパルバルでは、上り坂に四人、パルバルに二人が配置された。
18For the Precinct westward, four at the causeway, and two at the Precinct.
19以上が、コラの子らとメラリの子らに属する門衛の組分けである。
19These were the courses of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.
20レビ人のうち、アヒヤは神の家の宝物庫と聖別された物の宝物庫を管理した。
20And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasuries of the house of God, and over the treasuries of the hallowed things.
21ゲルション人ラダンの子ら、すなわちラダンに属する父祖の家のかしらは、エヒエリ人であった。
21The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers' houses belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
22エヒエリの子らゼタムと、その兄弟ヨエルは、主の家の宝物庫を管理した。
22The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasuries of the house of the LORD.
23アムラム人、イツハル人、ヘブロン人、ウジエル人については、
23Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites;
24モーセの子ゲルショムの子シェブエルが、宝物庫の責任者であった。
24Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasuries.
25その親族は、エリエゼルから、その子レハブヤ、その子エシャヤ、その子ヨラム、その子ジクリ、その子シェロモテと続いた。
25And his brethren by Eliezer: Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.
26このシェロモテとその兄弟たちは、聖別された物のすべての宝物庫を管理した。それらはダビデ王、父祖の家のかしらたち、千人隊と百人隊の長たち、および軍の指揮官たちが聖別してささげたものであった。
26This Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers' houses, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.
27彼らは戦いで得た略奪品の一部を、主の家の修理のために聖別した。
27Out of the spoil won in battles did they dedicate to repair the house of the LORD.
28また、先見者サムエル、キシュの子サウル、ネルの子アブネル、ツェルヤの子ヨアブが聖別したすべてのものも含まれていた。だれが何を聖別した場合でも、それはシェロモテとその兄弟たちの管理下に置かれた。
28And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.
29イツハル人では、ケナンヤとその息子たちが、神殿の外におけるイスラエルの行政を担当し、役人と裁判官を務めた。
29Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sorts were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
30ヘブロン人では、ハシャブヤとその兄弟たち、勇士千七百人が、ヨルダン川の西側にいるイスラエルを監督し、主に関するすべての務めと王の奉仕を担当した。
30Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward; for all the business of the LORD, and for the service of the king.
31ヘブロン人では、エリヤが父祖の家の系譜に従ってヘブロン人の長であった。ダビデの治世第四十年に彼らが調査され、ギルアデのヤゼルで勇士たちが見つかった。
31Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers' houses. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.
32エリヤの親族である勇士二千七百人は父祖の家のかしらであった。ダビデ王は彼らを、ルベン人、ガド人、マナセの半部族の監督者とし、神に関するすべての事柄と王に関する事務を担当させた。
32And his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred, heads of fathers' houses, whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
