World English Bible
1Khue laeh nang aka doo om nim? U hlangcim taengah na mael ve.
1“Call now; is there any who will answer you? To which of the holy ones will you turn?
2Aka ang te konoinah loh a ngawn tih hloih loh thatlainah a duek sak.
2For resentment kills the foolish man, and jealousy kills the simple.
3Aka ang loh a yung a hlak ka hmuh vaengah a tolkhoeng buengrhuet ka tap.
3I have seen the foolish taking root, but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
4A ca rhoek te khangnah lamloh lakhla tih vongka ah a phop uh vaengah aka huul om pawh.
4His children are far from safety. They are crushed in the gate. Neither is there any to deliver them,
5A cangah te bungpong loh a caak pah tih hlinghang lamkah a loh dae a thadueng te tuihal loh a mam pah.
5whose harvest the hungry eat up, and take it even out of the thorns. The snare gapes for their substance.
6Laipi lamloh boethae thoeng pawt tih diklai lamloh thakthaenah a poe bal moenih.
6For affliction doesn’t come out of the dust, neither does trouble spring out of the ground;
7Tedae hlang he thakthaenah khuiah a sak tih rhaek ca rhoek bangla ding hang.
7but man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
8“But as for me, I would seek God. I would commit my cause to God,
9A len la a saii vaengah khobaerhambae te khenah lek pawh, tae lek pawh.
9who does great things that can’t be fathomed, marvelous things without number;
10Diklai hman ah khotlan a paek tih lohma li ah tui a hlah.
10who gives rain on the earth, and sends waters on the fields;
11Tlarhoel rhoek te hmuensang ah a khueh tih kopang rhoek te khangnah khuila a hoeptlang.
11so that he sets up on high those who are low, those who mourn are exalted to safety.
12Aka thaai kah kopoek te a phae tih a kut loh lungming cueihnah saii thai pawh.
12He frustrates the plans of the crafty, so that their hands can’t perform their enterprise.
13Aka cueih khaw amah kah rhaithinah neh a tuuk tih aka hlang hnuei kah cilsuep he hma paitok.
13He takes the wise in their own craftiness; the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong.
14Khothaih ah a hmuep neh hum uh tih khothun ah khoyin bangla a phatuem uh.
14They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope at noonday as in the night.
15Khodaeng te amih ka dongkah cunghang lamlong khaw tlungluen kut lamloh a khang.
15But he saves from the sword of their mouth, even the needy from the hand of the mighty.
16Te dongah tattloel ham ngaiuepnah om dae dumlai loh amah ka a buem.
16So the poor has hope, and injustice shuts her mouth.
17Pathen loh a toel hlanghing he a yoethen tih Tlungthang kah thuituennah sit boeh.
17“Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.
18Amah loh a tloh sak dae a hma te a poi pah tih a kut dongah hoeih uh.
18For he wounds and binds up. He injures and his hands make whole.
19Citcai parhuk lamloh nang n'huul vetih a parhih ah yoethae loh nang soah m'ben mahpawh.
19He will deliver you in six troubles; yes, in seven no evil will touch you.
20Nang te khokha vaengah dueknah lamloh, caemtloek vaengah cunghang kut lamloh n'lat ni.
20In famine he will redeem you from death; in war, from the power of the sword.
21Olka dongkah rhuihet lamloh n'thuh vetih rhoelrhanah a pai vaengah na rhih mahpawh.
21You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, neither will you be afraid of destruction when it comes.
22You will laugh at destruction and famine, neither will you be afraid of the animals of the earth.
23Na paipi te khohmuen lungto taengah om vetih kohong mulhing loh nang taengah n'thuung ni.
23For you will be allied with the stones of the field. The animals of the field will be at peace with you.
24You will know that your tent is in peace. You will visit your fold, and will miss nothing.
25You will know also that your offspring will be great, your offspring as the grass of the earth.
26You will come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in its season.
27He tah amah la n'khe uh tangloeng he ne. He he hnatun lamtah namah loh namah dongah ming,” a ti nah.
27Behold, we have researched it. It is so. Hear it, and know it for your good.”
