1Ka thacakhaih, Aw Angraeng, nang kang palung han.
1I will love thee, O LORD , my strength.
2Angraeng loe ka lungsong, kacak kai ih sipae hoi kai pahlongkung ah oh: ka Sithaw, ka thacakhaih, ka buephaih, kang vaenghaih, ka loihhaih taki, kai ih imsang ah oh.
2The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3Pakoeh han krah Sithaw to ka kawk han, anih mah ka misanawk ban thung hoiah na pahlong tih.
3I will call upon the LORD , who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4Duekhaih quinawk mah ang zaeng moe, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk ih tuiphu mah zithaih hoiah ang ohsak.
4The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
5Hell qui mah ang zaeng kang moe, duekhaih thaang mah ang maah khoep.
5The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6Dawnrai naah Angraeng to ka kawk, ka Sithaw to ka palawk: anih mah angmah ih tempul thung hoiah ka lok ang tahngaih pae; ka hanghaih lok loe anih hmaa ah phak moe, anih ih naa thungah akun.
6In my distress I called upon the LORD , and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
7Anih palungphui naah, long anghuen moe, tasoeh; maenawk ohhaih takung khoek to anghuen moe, angthuih.
7Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
8Anih ih hnah thung hoiah hmaikhue tacawt moe, anih pakha thung ih hmai mah kangh pongah, to ih hmaipalai hoiah hmai to amngaeh.
8There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
9Anih mah van to takoih moe, pahnaem tathuk; kaving loe anih ih khok tlim ah oh.
9He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
10Anih loe Cherubim nuiah angthueng moe, azawk: ue, anih loe takhi ih pakhraehnawk nuiah azawk.
10And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
11Anih loe angmah anghawk haih hanah vinghaih to sak moe, kaving khak tuinawk hoi kathah van ih tamainawk mah anih to takui o.
11He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
12A hmaa ah aanghaih oh pongah, kathah tamainawk mah qaetui hoi hmai kamngaeh thlung to sin o moe, hmabang ah caeh o.
12At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
13Angraeng loe van ah doeh khopazihsak moe, Sang koek mah qaetui hoi hmai kamngaeh thlungnawk hanah lok a paek.
13The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
14Ue, anih loe angmah ih palaanawk to kah; tangphra a pueksak pongah, misanawk anghaehsak phang moe, a sungsak.
14Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
15Aw Angraeng, na thuitaekhaih hoi na hnah thung ih takhi nang hahhaih hoiah, tui longhaih loklamnawk to amtueng moe, long angdoethaih doeh amtueng.
15Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD , at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16Anih loe ranui bang hoiah ban to payangh, kai ang patawnh moe, pop parai tuinawk thung hoiah kai to azuh tahang.
16He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
17Anih mah kai hnuma kaminawk, kai han paroeai thacak, ka misanawk ban thung hoiah ang pahlong.
17He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
18Kam rohaih niah nihcae mah ang maah o khoep; toe Angraeng loe ka buephaih ah oh.
18They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
19Anih mah kalen parai imthung ah ang caeh haih; ka nuiah palung a tongh pongah, anih mah ang pahlong.
19He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20Angraeng mah ka toenghaih baktih toengah, tangqum to ang paek, ka ban ciimhaih baktih toengah atho ang paek let.
20The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
21Angraeng ih loklamnawk to ka pazui pongah, zaehaih sak hanah Sithaw to ka caeh taak ai.
21For I have kept the ways of the LORD , and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22A lok takroekhaihnawk boih loe ka hmaa ah oh, anih mah sak ih daannawk ka pahnawt vai ai.
22For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
23A hmaa ah toenghaih hoiah kho ka sak moe, zaehaih to ka caeh taak.
23I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
24To pongah ka toenghaih baktih, a mikhnuk ah ka ban ciimhaih baktih toengah, Angraeng mah tangqum to ang paek.
24Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
25Nang loe tahmen thaih kami khaeah tahmenhaih nam tuengsak moe, katoeng kami khaeah toenghaih to nam tuengsak;
25With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
26Kaciim kami khaeah ciimhaih nam tuengsak moe, poek angkoih kami khaeah poek angkoihaih to nam tuegsak.
26With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
27Mi tlim ah khosah kaminawk to na pahlong; toe kasang ah mikpadai kaminawk loe na pakhrak tathuk.
27For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.
28Aw Angraeng, kai ih hmaithawk nang paaang pae, ka Angraeng Sithaw mah ka vinghaih hae na aangsak tih.
28For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
29Nang oephaih rang hoiah misa to ka patom moe, ka Sithaw oephaih rang hoiah ni sipae to ka poeng thaih.
29For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
30Sithaw ih loklam loe acung: Angraeng ih lok loe coek han koi om ai. Anih loe angmah khaeah abuep kaminawk boih hanah angvaenghaih ah oh.
30As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
31Angraeng pacoengah mi maw Sithaw ah kaom vop? To tih ai boeh loe aicae Sithaw ai ah loe mi maw lungsong ah kaom?
31For who is God save the LORD ? or who is a rock save our God?
32Sithaw mah thacakhaih kazii hoiah ang zaeng moe, ka caehhaih loklam to acungsak.
32It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
33Tasuk khok baktiah ka khok hae ang sak pae moe, ka ohhaih hmuensangnawk ah ang suek.
33He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet , and setteth me upon my high places.
34Misatuk kop hanah ka ban ang patoh pae, to naah ni ka ban mah sum kalii to takoih thai vop.
34He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
35Kai nang pakaa moe, na pahlonghaih to nang paek: na bantang ban hoiah nang zaeh moe, na tuinom hoihaih hoiah nang lensak boeh.
35Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
36Ka caehhaih loklam to na kawksak pongah, ka khok hae amkhraeng thai ai.
36Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
37Ka misanawk ka patom moe, ka kae: nihcae amro ai karoek to kam laem let ai.
37I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
38Nihcae loe ka khok tlim ah amtimh o: angthawk thai ai khoek to nihcae to ka tit.
38I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
39Misatuk hanah thacakhaih kazii hoiah nang zaeng; ka misanawk ka khok tlim ah na kuepsak.
39For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
40Kai hnuma kaminawk ka hum thai hanah, ka misanawk ih tahnongnawk doeh nang paek.
40Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
41Nihcae loe hang o, toe pahlongkung tawn o ai; Angraeng khaeah a hang o, toe anih mah pathim pae ai.
41They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD , but he answered them not.
42To naah nihcae to adip pueng ah ka hnoih moe, takhi nuiah maiphu takhoek ih baktih toengah ka takhoek: nihcae to loklam ih maiphu baktiah ka haeh.
42Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
43Kai naeh kaminawk ih ban thung hoiah nang loisak moe, sithaw panoek ai kaminawk ih lu ah nang suek; panoek ai ih kaminawk doeh kai ih tok to a sak o.
43Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44Kai ih tamthang a thaih o naah, ka lok to tahngaih o; panoek ai ih kaminawk loe angmacae koeh ah ka hmaa ah ang paek o.
44As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
45Panoek ai ih kaminawk loe palung boeng o moe, angmacae ohhaih ahmuen hoi tasoehhaih hoiah angzoh o.
45The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
46Angraeng loe hing! Ka lungsong loe tahamhoihaih om nasoe! Kai pahlongkung Sithaw loe, pakoehhaih om nasoe.
46The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47Kai hanah lulak moe, kaminawk kai tlim ah kuepsakkung loe, Sithaw ni.
47It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48Ka misanawk thung hoiah anih mah ang pahlong; ue, ka misanawk ranuiah kai nang toengh tahang: amrosak thaih kami ban thung hoiah nang pahlong.
48He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49To pongah aw Angraeng, kai loe Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah, nang khaeah anghoehaih lawk ka thuih moe, na hmin pakoehhaih laa to ka sak han.
49Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD , among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
50Anih mah angmah ih siangpahrang khaeah kalen parai loisakhaih to paek moe, situi a bawh ih David hoi angmah ih acaengnawk khaeah boeng thai ai palungnathaih to amtuengsak.
50Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
