1หลังจากนั้น ผมเห็นทูตสี่ตนยืนอยู่ที่มุมทั้งสี่ของแผ่นดินโลก กักลมทั้งสี่ของแผ่นดินโลกไว้ เพื่อไม่ให้ลมพัดบนแผ่นดินโลก บนทะเล หรือบนต้นไม้ต้นใด
1And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2ผมเห็นทูตอีกตนหนึ่งขึ้นมาจากทางที่ดวงอาทิตย์ขึ้น มีตราของพระเจ้าผู้มีชีวิต เขาร้องด้วยเสียงดังบอกทูตทั้งสี่ ซึ่งได้รับอำนาจให้ทำอันตรายแผ่นดินโลกและทะเล
2And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3ว่า “อย่าทำอันตรายแผ่นดินโลก ทะเล หรือต้นไม้ จนกว่าเราจะประทับตราผู้รับใช้ของพระเจ้าของเราไว้ที่หน้าผากของพวกเขา!”
3Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4ผมได้ยินจำนวนของผู้ที่ได้รับตราประทับ คือหนึ่งแสนสี่หมื่นสี่พันคน ซึ่งได้รับตราประทับจากทุกเผ่าของลูกหลานอิสราเอล:
4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5จากเผ่ายูดาห์มีหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคนได้รับตราประทับ จากเผ่ารูเบนหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน จากเผ่ากาดหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน
5Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
6จากเผ่าอาเชอร์หนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน จากเผ่านัฟทาลีหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน จากเผ่ามนัสเสห์หนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน
6Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
7จากเผ่าสิเมโอนหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน จากเผ่าเลวีหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน จากเผ่าอิสสาคาร์หนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน
7Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
8จากเผ่าเศบูลุนหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน จากเผ่าโยเซฟหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคน และ จากเผ่าเบนยามินหนึ่งหมื่นสองพันคนได้รับตราประทับ
8Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.
9หลังจากสิ่งเหล่านี้ ผมมองดู ก็เห็นฝูงชนใหญ่ที่ไม่มีใครนับจำนวนได้ พวกเขามาจากทุกชนชาติ จากทุกเผ่า ทุกกลุ่มชน และทุกภาษา ยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าบัลลังก์และต่อหน้าลูกแกะ สวมเสื้อคลุมสีขาว และถือกิ่งปาล์มอยู่ในมือ
9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10พวกเขาร้องด้วยเสียงดังว่า “ความรอดเป็นของพระเจ้าของพวกเรา ผู้ที่นั่งบนบัลลังก์ และของลูกแกะ!”
10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11ทูตทั้งหมดกำลังยืนอยู่รอบบัลลังก์ รอบผู้อาวุโส และรอบสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งสี่ พวกเขาหมอบหน้าลงต่อหน้าบัลลังก์ของพระองค์ และกราบไหว้พระเจ้า
11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12พร้อมกล่าวว่า “อาเมน! คำถวายพร พระสิริ ปัญญา การขอบคุณ เกียรติ พลัง และกำลัง จงเป็นของพระเจ้าของพวกเราตลอดไปเป็นนิตย์! อาเมน”
12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13ผู้อาวุโสคนหนึ่งกล่าวกับผมว่า “คนเหล่านี้ที่สวมเสื้อคลุมสีขาวเป็นใคร และมาจากที่ไหน?”
13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14ผมตอบเขาว่า “ท่านครับ ท่านรู้” เขากล่าวกับผมว่า “คนเหล่านี้คือผู้ที่ออกมาจากความทุกข์ทรมานครั้งใหญ่ พวกเขาซักเสื้อคลุมของตน และทำให้ขาวในเลือดของลูกแกะ
14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15เพราะฉะนั้น พวกเขาจึงอยู่ต่อหน้าบัลลังก์ของพระเจ้า และรับใช้พระองค์ทั้งกลางวันและกลางคืนในวิหารของพระองค์ ผู้ที่นั่งบนบัลลังก์จะกางเต็นท์ของพระองค์คลุมพวกเขาไว้
15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16พวกเขาจะไม่หิวหรือกระหายอีกเลย ดวงอาทิตย์จะไม่แผดเผาพวกเขา และความร้อนใด ๆ ก็จะไม่แผดเผาพวกเขา
16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17เพราะลูกแกะที่อยู่กลางบัลลังก์จะเป็นผู้เลี้ยงพวกเขา และนำพวกเขาไปยังน้ำพุแห่งน้ำที่ให้ชีวิต และพระเจ้าจะเช็ดน้ำตาทุกหยดออกจากดวงตาของพวกเขา”
17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
