1แล้วผมก็ยืน อยู่บนทรายริมทะเล ผมเห็นสัตว์ร้ายตัวหนึ่งขึ้นมาจากทะเล มีสิบเขาและเจ็ดหัว บนเขาของมันมีมงกุฎสิบวง และบนหัวของมันมีชื่อที่เป็นคำหมิ่นประมาท
1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2สัตว์ร้ายที่ผมเห็นเหมือนเสือดาว เท้าของมันเหมือนเท้าหมี และปากเหมือนปากสิงโต มังกรให้พลัง บัลลังก์ และอำนาจอันยิ่งใหญ่ของมันแก่สัตว์ร้าย
2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3หัวหนึ่งของมันดูเหมือนมีบาดแผลถึงตาย แต่บาดแผลถึงตายนั้นหายแล้ว และคนทั้งโลกต่างประหลาดใจในสัตว์ร้าย
3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4พวกเขากราบไหว้มังกร เพราะมังกรให้อำนาจแก่สัตว์ร้าย และพวกเขากราบไหว้สัตว์ร้ายด้วย กล่าวว่า “ใครจะเหมือนสัตว์ร้ายนี้? ใครจะทำสงครามกับมันได้?”
4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5มีผู้มอบปากที่พูดเรื่องใหญ่โตและคำหมิ่นประมาทให้แก่สัตว์ร้าย และมอบอำนาจให้มันทำสงครามเป็นเวลาสี่สิบสองเดือน
5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6มันเปิดปากกล่าวคำหมิ่นประมาทพระเจ้า หมิ่นประมาทชื่อของพระองค์ ที่พำนักของพระองค์ และคนที่อาศัยอยู่ในสวรรค์
6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7มันได้รับอนุญาตให้ทำสงครามกับผู้บริสุทธิ์และชนะพวกเขา และได้รับอำนาจเหนือทุกเผ่า ทุกกลุ่มชน ทุกภาษา และทุกชนชาติ
7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8ทุกคนที่อาศัยอยู่บนแผ่นดินโลกจะกราบไหว้มัน คือทุกคนที่ไม่มีชื่อเขียนไว้ตั้งแต่การวางรากฐานของโลก ในหนังสือแห่งชีวิตของลูกแกะผู้ถูกฆ่า
8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9ใครมีหู ก็จงฟัง
9If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10ถ้าใครจะไปเป็นเชลย เขาก็จะไปเป็นเชลย ถ้าใครจะถูกฆ่าด้วยดาบ เขาก็จะถูกฆ่า นี่คือความอดทนและความเชื่อของผู้บริสุทธิ์
10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11ผมเห็นสัตว์ร้ายอีกตัวหนึ่งขึ้นมาจากแผ่นดิน มันมีเขาสองเขาเหมือนลูกแกะ และพูดเหมือนมังกร
11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12มันใช้อำนาจทั้งหมดของสัตว์ร้ายตัวแรกต่อหน้าสัตว์ร้ายตัวนั้น และทำให้แผ่นดินโลกกับคนที่อาศัยอยู่ในนั้นกราบไหว้สัตว์ร้ายตัวแรก ซึ่งบาดแผลถึงตายของมันหายแล้ว
12And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13มันทำหมายสำคัญยิ่งใหญ่ ถึงกับทำให้ไฟตกลงจากท้องฟ้ามายังแผ่นดินโลกต่อหน้าผู้คน
13And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14มันหลอกลวงประชาชนของผมเอง ที่อาศัยอยู่บนแผ่นดินโลก เพราะหมายสำคัญที่มันได้รับอนุญาตให้ทำต่อหน้าสัตว์ร้าย มันบอกคนที่อาศัยอยู่บนแผ่นดินโลกให้สร้างรูปให้สัตว์ร้ายตัวที่มีบาดแผลจากดาบแต่ยังมีชีวิตอยู่
14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15มันได้รับอนุญาตให้มอบลมหายใจแก่รูปของสัตว์ร้าย เพื่อให้รูปของสัตว์ร้ายพูดได้ และทำให้ทุกคนที่ไม่กราบไหว้รูปของสัตว์ร้ายถูกฆ่า
15And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16มันทำให้ทุกคน ทั้งผู้น้อยและผู้ใหญ่ คนมั่งมีและคนยากจน คนเสรีและทาส มีเครื่องหมายบนมือขวาหรือบนหน้าผาก
16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17เพื่อไม่ให้ใครซื้อหรือขายได้ นอกจากคนที่มีเครื่องหมายนั้น คือชื่อของสัตว์ร้ายหรือเลขของชื่อมัน
17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18นี่คือปัญญา คนที่มีความเข้าใจก็จงคำนวณเลขของสัตว์ร้าย เพราะเป็นเลขของคนคนหนึ่ง เลขของมันคือหกร้อยหกสิบหก
18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
