1ดูเถิด กษัตริย์จะครองราชย์อย่างเที่ยงธรรม ผู้นำจะปกครองอย่างยุติธรรม
1Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and as for princes, they shall rule in justice.
2คนหนึ่งจะเป็นเหมือนที่หลบลม ที่กำบังพายุ เหมือนลำธารในที่แห้ง ร่มเงาศิลาใหญ่ในแผ่นดินอ่อนล้า
2And a man shall be as in a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as by the watercourses in a dry place, as in the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
3ตาผู้มองเห็นจะไม่มัว หูผู้ได้ยินจะฟัง
3And the eyes of them that see shall not be closed, and the ears of them that hear shall attend.
4ใจคนหุนหันจะเข้าใจความรู้ ลิ้นคนพูดติดอ่างจะพูดชัดได้คล่อง
4The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
5จะไม่เรียกคนโง่ว่าสูงศักดิ์อีก ไม่ยกย่องคนเลวว่ามีเกียรติ
5The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be noble.
6เพราะคนโง่พูดความโง่ ใจเขาคิดทำชั่ว ลบหลู่สิ่งบริสุทธิ์ พูดผิดๆ ต่อต้านพระยาห์เวห์ ปล่อยคนหิวให้ท้องว่าง ทำให้คนกระหายขาดน้ำดื่ม
6For the vile person will speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise ungodliness, and to utter wickedness against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
7วิธีของคนเลวชั่วร้าย เขาวางแผนร้าย ใช้คำโกหกทำลายคนต่ำต้อย แม้คนยากไร้จะพูดถูกต้อง
7The instruments also of the churl are evil; he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, and the needy when he speaketh right.
8แต่คนมีเกียรติวางแผนสิ่งมีเกียรติ และยืนหยัดในสิ่งมีเกียรติ
8But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.
9ผู้หญิงที่อยู่สบาย จงลุกขึ้นฟังเสียงข้าพเจ้า! ธิดาผู้ประมาท จงฟังคำข้าพเจ้า!
9Rise up, ye women that are at ease, and hear my voice; ye confident daughters, give ear unto my speech.
10อีกปีเศษ พวกเจ้าที่ประมาทจะทุกข์ เพราะองุ่นจะไม่ให้ผล จะไม่มีผลเก็บเกี่ยว
10After a year and days shall ye be troubled, ye confident women; for the vintage shall fail, the ingathering shall not come.
11ผู้หญิงที่อยู่สบาย จงสั่นกลัว! คนประมาท จงหวาดผวา! ถอดเสื้อผ้า เปลือยตัว เอาผ้ากระสอบคาดเอว
11Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye confident ones; strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins,
12จงตีอกเพื่อไร่น่าชื่นชม เพื่อเถาองุ่นออกผล
12Smiting upon the breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine;
13หนามและพุ่มหนามจะขึ้นในแผ่นดินประชาชนของเรา ขึ้นในบ้านรื่นเริงทุกหลังในเมืองรื่นเริง
13For the land of my people whereon thorns and briers come up; yea, for all the houses of joy and the joyous city.
14เพราะวังจะถูกทิ้ง เมืองที่ผู้คนคับคั่งจะร้าง เนินและหอยามจะเป็นถ้ำตลอดไป เป็นที่ชื่นใจของลาป่า เป็นทุ่งเลี้ยงฝูงสัตว์
14For the palace shall be forsaken; the city with its stir shall be deserted; the mound and the tower shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
15จนกว่าพระวิญญาณจะถูกเทลงบนพวกเราจากเบื้องสูง ถิ่นกันดารกลายเป็นไร่อุดมสมบูรณ์ ไร่อุดมสมบูรณ์ถูกมองว่าเป็นป่า
15Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness become a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
16แล้วความยุติธรรมจะอยู่ในถิ่นกันดาร ความเที่ยงธรรมจะคงอยู่ในไร่อุดมสมบูรณ์
16Then justice shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness shall abide in the fruitful field.
17งานแห่งความเที่ยงธรรมจะเป็นสันติสุข ผลแห่งความเที่ยงธรรมคือความสงบและความมั่นใจตลอดไป
17And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and confidence for ever.
18ประชาชนของเราจะอยู่ในที่สงบสุข ในบ้านปลอดภัย ในที่พักอันสงบ
18And my people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.
19แม้ลูกเห็บจะทำให้ป่าล้มราบ และเมืองจะถูกทำให้ราบทั้งหมด
19And it shall hail, in the downfall of the forest; but the city shall descend into the valley.
20พวกคุณที่หว่านข้างผืนน้ำทุกแห่งได้รับพร พวกคุณที่ปล่อยเท้าวัวและลาออกไป
20Happy are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth freely the feet of the ox and the ass.
