1คนเที่ยงธรรมตายไป และไม่มีใครใส่ใจ คนมีเมตตาถูกนำไป และไม่มีใครคิดว่าคนเที่ยงธรรมถูกนำไปให้พ้นจากความชั่ว
1The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart, and godly men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
2เขาเข้าสู่สันติสุข พวกเขาพักบนที่นอนของตน ทุกคนที่ดำเนินชีวิตอย่างซื่อตรง
2He entereth into peace, they rest in their beds, each one that walketh in his uprightness.
3“แต่พวกเจ้า จงเข้ามาใกล้ที่นี่ บุตรชายของแม่มด ลูกหลานของผู้มีชู้และหญิงขายบริการ
3But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the harlot.
4พวกเจ้าเยาะเย้ยใคร? พวกเจ้าอ้าปากกว้าง และแลบลิ้นใส่ใคร? พวกเจ้าไม่ใช่ลูกแห่งการไม่เชื่อฟัง และลูกหลานแห่งความเท็จหรือ?
4Against whom do ye sport yourselves? Against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? Are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
5พวกเจ้าที่ปลุกความเร่าร้อนของตนท่ามกลางต้นโอ๊ก ใต้ต้นไม้เขียวทุกต้น ผู้ฆ่าเด็กในหุบเขา ใต้ซอกหิน
5Ye that inflame yourselves among the terebinths, under every leafy tree; that slay the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?
6ส่วนแบ่งของเจ้าอยู่ในหมู่หินเรียบของหุบเขา หินเหล่านั้น หินเหล่านั้นเองเป็นส่วนที่ตกเป็นของเจ้า เจ้าเทเครื่องดื่มบูชาให้มันด้วย และถวายเครื่องบูชา สิ่งเหล่านี้จะทำให้เราหายโกรธหรือ?
6Among the smooth stones of the valley is thy portion; they, they are thy lot; even to them hast thou poured a drink-offering, thou hast offered a meal-offering. Should I pacify Myself for these things?
7เจ้าตั้งที่นอนของตนบนภูเขาสูงตระหง่าน และขึ้นไปที่นั่นเพื่อถวายเครื่องบูชาด้วย
7Upon a high and lofty mountain hast thou set thy bed; thither also wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
8เจ้าตั้งอนุสรณ์ของตนไว้หลังประตูและเสาประตู เพราะเจ้าเปิดเผยตัวให้ผู้อื่นนอกจากเรา และขึ้นไป เจ้าขยายที่นอนของตน และทำพันธสัญญากับพวกเขาเพื่อตัวเจ้าเอง เจ้ารักสิ่งที่เห็นบนที่นอนของพวกเขา
8And behind the doors and the posts hast thou set up thy symbol; for thou hast uncovered, and art gone up from Me, thou hast enlarged thy bed, and chosen thee of them whose bed thou lovedst, whose hand thou sawest.
9เจ้าไปหากษัตริย์พร้อมน้ำมัน เพิ่มน้ำหอมของตน ส่งทูตไปไกล และลดตัวลงจนถึงเชโอล
9And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thine ambassadors far off, even down to the nether-world.
10เจ้าเหนื่อยล้ากับการเดินทางอันยาวไกล แต่ไม่ได้พูดว่า ‘ไร้ผลแล้ว’ เจ้าพบว่ากำลังของตนฟื้นขึ้น จึงไม่หมดแรง
10Thou wast wearied with the length of thy way; yet saidst thou not: 'There is no hope'; thou didst find a renewal of thy strength, therefore thou wast not affected.
11“เจ้าหวาดหวั่นและกลัวใคร จึงโกหก ไม่ระลึกถึงเรา และไม่ใส่ใจ? เรานิ่งเงียบมานานไม่ใช่หรือ เจ้าจึงไม่ยำเกรงเรา?
11And of whom hast thou been afraid and in fear, that thou wouldest fail? And as for Me, thou hast not remembered Me, nor laid it to thy heart. Have not I held My peace even of long time? Therefore thou fearest Me not.
12เราจะประกาศความเที่ยงธรรมของเจ้า ส่วนการกระทำของเจ้า จะไม่เป็นประโยชน์แก่เจ้า
12I will declare thy righteousness; thy works also — they shall not profit thee.
13เมื่อเจ้าร้องเรียก ก็ให้บรรดาผู้ที่เจ้ารวบรวมไว้ช่วยเจ้าให้รอดเถิด แต่ลมจะพัดพวกเขาไป เพียงลมหายใจก็จะพาทั้งหมดไป ส่วนผู้ที่ลี้ภัยในเราจะครอบครองแผ่นดิน และรับภูเขาศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของเราเป็นมรดก”
13When thou criest, let them that thou hast gathered deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away, a breath shall bear them off; but he that taketh refuge in Me shall possess the land, and shall inherit My holy mountain.
14เขาจะกล่าวว่า “จงถมขึ้น จงถมขึ้น เตรียมทางไว้! เอาสิ่งที่ทำให้สะดุดออกจากทางของประชากรของเรา”
14And He will say: cast ye up, cast ye up, clear the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of My people.
15เพราะผู้สูงส่งและสูงล้ำ ผู้ดำรงอยู่ชั่วนิรันดร์ ผู้มีพระนามว่าบริสุทธิ์ กล่าวว่า “เราอยู่ในที่สูงและศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และอยู่กับผู้ที่มีจิตใจสำนึกผิดและถ่อมตนด้วย เพื่อฟื้นจิตใจของผู้ถ่อมตน และฟื้นใจของผู้สำนึกผิด
15For thus saith the High and Lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
16เพราะเราจะไม่ต่อสู้ตลอดไป และจะไม่โกรธอยู่เสมอ มิฉะนั้นจิตใจจะอ่อนล้าต่อหน้าเรา ทั้งชีวิตที่เราสร้างก็จะอ่อนล้า
16For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth; for the spirit that enwrappeth itself is from Me, and the souls which I have made.
17เราโกรธเพราะเขาทำผิดด้วยความโลภ และตีเขา เราซ่อนตัวและโกรธ แต่เขายังคงถอยห่างไปตามทางที่ใจตนเลือก
17For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth and smote him, I hid Me and was wroth; and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
18เราเห็นทางของเขาแล้ว และจะรักษาเขา เราจะนำเขาด้วย และนำความปลอบโยนกลับคืนแก่เขาและผู้ที่โศกเศร้าเพื่อเขา
18I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will lead him also, and requite with comforts him and his mourners.
19เราสร้างผลจากริมฝีปาก สันติสุข สันติสุข แก่ผู้ที่อยู่ไกลและผู้ที่อยู่ใกล้” พระยาห์เวห์กล่าว “และเราจะรักษาพวกเขา”
19Peace, peace, to him that is far off and to him that is near, saith the LORD that createth the fruit of the lips; and I will heal him.
20แต่คนชั่วเหมือนทะเลที่ปั่นป่วน สงบไม่ได้ และน้ำซัดเลนและโคลนขึ้นมา
20But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.
21พระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้ากล่าวว่า “คนชั่ว ไม่มีสันติสุข”
21There is no peace, saith my God concerning the wicked.
