1พระเจ้าของพวกคุณกล่าวว่า “จงปลอบโยน ปลอบโยนประชาชนของเรา
1Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, saith your God.
2พูดให้เยรูซาเล็มอุ่นใจ ประกาศแก่เธอว่าการศึกจบแล้ว ความผิดได้รับการอภัยแล้ว เธอได้รับจากมือพระยาห์เวห์เป็นสองเท่าสำหรับบาปทั้งหมด”
2Bid Jerusalem take heart, and proclaim unto her, that her time of service is accomplished, that her guilt is paid off; that she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins.
3เสียงผู้ร้องเรียกว่า “จงเตรียมทางพระยาห์เวห์ในถิ่นกันดาร! ทำถนนราบในทะเลทรายให้พระเจ้าของพวกเรา
3Hark! one calleth: 'Clear ye in the wilderness the way of the LORD, make plain in the desert a highway for our God.
4ทุกหุบเขาจะถูกยกขึ้น ทุกภูเขาและเนินจะถูกลดลง ที่ขรุขระจะราบ ที่กระด้างจะเป็นที่ราบ
4Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the rugged shall be made level, and the rough places a plain;
5ความรุ่งโรจน์ของพระยาห์เวห์จะปรากฏ มนุษย์ทั้งหมดจะเห็นพร้อมกัน เพราะปากของพระยาห์เวห์กล่าวไว้แล้ว”
5And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.'
6เสียงหนึ่งกล่าวว่า “จงร้องประกาศ!” อีกคนถามว่า “จะประกาศอะไร?” “มนุษย์ทั้งหมดเหมือนหญ้า ความรุ่งโรจน์ทั้งหมดเหมือนดอกไม้ในทุ่ง
6Hark! one saith: 'Proclaim!' And he saith: 'What shall I proclaim?' 'All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field;
7หญ้าเหี่ยว ดอกไม้โรย เพราะลมหายใจพระยาห์เวห์พัดใส่ แท้จริง ประชาชนก็เหมือนหญ้า
7The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; because the breath of the LORD bloweth upon it — surely the people is grass.
8หญ้าเหี่ยว ดอกไม้โรย แต่คำพระเจ้าของพวกเราตั้งมั่นตลอดไป”
8The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of our God shall stand for ever.'
9ผู้บอกข่าวดีแก่ศิโยน จงขึ้นภูเขาสูง ผู้บอกข่าวดีแก่เยรูซาเล็ม จงเปล่งเสียงเต็มกำลัง! จงเปล่งเสียง อย่ากลัว! บอกเมืองต่างๆ ของยูดาห์ว่า “ดูเถิด พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ!”
9O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion, get thee up into the high mountain; O thou that tellest good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah: 'Behold your God!'
10ดูเถิด พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระยาห์เวห์ จะมาอย่างผู้ทรงพลัง แขนของพระองค์จะปกครองให้พระองค์ ดูเถิด รางวัลอยู่กับพระองค์ ผลตอบแทนอยู่เบื้องหน้าพระองค์
10Behold, the Lord GOD will come as a Mighty One, and His arm will rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.
11พระองค์จะเลี้ยงฝูงของพระองค์เหมือนคนเลี้ยงแกะ รวบลูกแกะในแขน อุ้มไว้แนบอก ค่อยๆ นำแม่ที่มีลูกอ่อน
11Even as a shepherd that feedeth his flock, that gathereth the lambs in his arm, and carrieth them in his bosom, and gently leadeth those that give suck.
12ใครตวงน้ำในอุ้งมือ วัดฟ้าด้วยคืบ คำนวณฝุ่นแผ่นดินด้วยตะกร้าตวง ชั่งภูเขาด้วยตาชั่ง และชั่งเนินด้วยเครื่องชั่ง?
12Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
13ใครชี้นำพระวิญญาณของพระยาห์เวห์ หรือสอนพระองค์ในฐานะที่ปรึกษา?
13Who hath meted out the spirit of the LORD? Or who was His counsellor that he might instruct Him?
14พระองค์ปรึกษาใคร ใครสั่งสอน สอนทางแห่งความยุติธรรม สอนความรู้ แสดงทางแห่งความเข้าใจให้พระองค์?
14With whom took He counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of right, and taught Him knowledge, and made Him to know the way of discernment?
15ดูเถิด ชาติต่างๆ เหมือนน้ำหยดหนึ่งในถัง เหมือนฝุ่นผงบนตาชั่ง ดูเถิด พระองค์ยกเกาะต่างๆ เหมือนสิ่งเล็กน้อย
15Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance; behold the isles are as a mote in weight.
16เลบานอนมีไม้ไม่พอเผา สัตว์ก็ไม่พอเป็นเครื่องบูชาเผาถวาย
16And Lebanon is not sufficient fuel, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for burnt-offerings.
17ทุกชาติเป็นเหมือนไม่มีอะไรต่อหน้าพระองค์ พระองค์ถือว่าน้อยกว่าความไม่มี เป็นสิ่งไร้ค่า
17All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are accounted by Him as things of nought, and vanity.
18แล้วจะเปรียบพระเจ้ากับใคร? จะเอารูปใดมาเทียบพระองค์?
18To whom then will ye liken God? Or what likeness will ye compare unto Him?
19ช่างหล่อรูป ช่างทองหุ้มทอง หล่อโซ่เงินให้มัน
19The image perchance, which the craftsman hath melted, and the goldsmith spread over with gold, the silversmith casting silver chains?
20คนที่จนเกินจะถวายเช่นนั้นก็เลือกต้นไม้ที่ไม่ผุ หาช่างชำนาญมาตั้งรูปแกะสลักให้ไม่ล้ม
20A holm-oak is set apart, he chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning craftsman to set up an image, that shall not be moved.
21พวกเจ้าไม่รู้หรือ? ไม่เคยได้ยินหรือ? ไม่มีใครบอกตั้งแต่ต้นหรือ? ไม่เข้าใจตั้งแต่วางรากฐานแผ่นดินหรือ?
21Know ye not? hear ye not? Hath it not been told you from the beginning? Have ye not understood the foundations of the earth?
22พระองค์นั่งเหนือวงกลมของแผ่นดินโลก ผู้อยู่อาศัยเหมือนตั๊กแตน พระองค์ขึงฟ้าสวรรค์เหมือนม่าน แผ่ออกเหมือนเต็นท์ไว้พักอาศัย
22It is He that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;
23ทำผู้นำให้ไม่เหลืออะไร ทำผู้พิพากษาแผ่นดินให้ไร้ค่า
23That bringeth princes to nothing; He maketh the judges of the earth as a thing of nought.
24พวกเขาเพิ่งปลูก เพิ่งหว่าน ตอเพิ่งหยั่งรากลงดิน พระองค์เพียงเป่า พวกเขาก็เหี่ยว ลมหมุนพัดไปเหมือนตอซัง
24Scarce are they planted, scarce are they sown, scarce hath their stock taken root in the earth; when He bloweth upon them, they wither, and the whirlwind taketh them away as stubble.
25พระผู้บริสุทธิ์กล่าวว่า “จะเปรียบเรากับใคร? ใครเท่าเทียมเรา?”
25To whom then will ye liken Me, that I should be equal? saith the Holy One.
26จงเงยหน้ามองเบื้องสูง ดูว่าใครสร้างสิ่งเหล่านี้ ผู้พากองทัพของมันออกตามจำนวน เรียกทั้งหมดตามชื่อ ด้วยพลังยิ่งใหญ่ ด้วยอำนาจเข้มแข็ง ไม่มีสิ่งใดขาดไป
26Lift up your eyes on high, and see: who hath created these? He that bringeth out their host by number, He calleth them all by name; by the greatness of His might, and for that He is strong in power, not one faileth.
27ยาโคบ ทำไมเจ้าจึงพูด อิสราเอล ทำไมจึงกล่าวว่า “พระยาห์เวห์มองไม่เห็นทางของฉัน พระเจ้าของฉันละเลยความยุติธรรมที่ฉันควรได้”?
27Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel: 'My way is hid from the LORD, and my right is passed over from my God'?
28เจ้าไม่รู้หรือ? ไม่เคยได้ยินหรือ? พระเจ้านิรันดร์ พระยาห์เวห์ ผู้สร้างสุดปลายแผ่นดิน ไม่อ่อนแรง ไม่เหน็ดเหนื่อย ความเข้าใจของพระองค์หยั่งไม่ถึง
28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? His discernment is past searching out.
29พระองค์ให้พลังแก่คนอ่อนแรง เพิ่มกำลังให้คนไร้เรี่ยวแรง
29He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might He increaseth strength.
30แม้คนหนุ่มสาวก็อ่อนแรงเหนื่อยล้า ชายหนุ่มก็ล้มลงหมด
30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall;
31แต่ผู้เฝ้าคอยพระยาห์เวห์จะมีกำลังใหม่ จะกางปีกขึ้นเหมือนนกอินทรี วิ่งไม่เหนื่อย เดินไม่อ่อนแรง
31But they that wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.
