1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
1І, вийшовши Ісус, пійшов із церкви; і приступили ученики Його, показати Йому будівлю церковну.
2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
2Ісус же рече їм: Чи бачите се все? Істино глаголю вам: Не зостанеть ся тут камінь на каменї, щоб не зруйновано.
3¶ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
3Як же сидїв на горі Оливній, поприходили до Него ученики самотою, кажучи: Скажи нам, коли се буде? й який знак Твого приходу й кінця сьвіту?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
4І озвавшись Ісус, рече їм: Гледїть, щоб хто не звів вас.
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
5Багато бо приходити ме в імя моє, кажучи: Я Христос; і зведуть многих.
6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
6Чути мете ж про войни й чутки воєнні; гледїть же, не трівожтесь; мусить бо все статись, та се ще не конець.
7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
7Бо встане нарід на нарід і царство на царство, й буде голоднеча, й помір, і трус по місцях.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows.
8Все ж се почин горя.
9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
9Тодї видавати муть вас на муки, й вбивати муть вас; і зненавидять вас усї народи задля імя мого.
10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
10І тодї поблазнять ся многі, й видавати муть одно одного, й ненавидїти муть одно одного.
11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
11І багато лжепророків устане, й зведуть многих.
12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
12І задля намноженого беззаконня, прохолоне любов многих.
13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
13Хто ж видержить до останку, той спасеть ся.
14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
14І проповідувати меть ся євангелия царства по всїй вселеннїй на сьвідкуваннє всїм народам; і тодї прийде конець.
15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
15Оце ж, як побачите гидоту спустїння, що сказав Даниїл пророк, стоячу на місцї сьвятому (хто читає, нехай розуміє),
16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
16тодї, хто в Юдеї, нехай втїкає на гори;
17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
17хто на криші, нехай не злазить узяти що з хати своєї;
18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
18і хто в полї, нехай не вертаєть ся назад узяти одежу свою.
19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
19Горе ж важким і годуючим під той час!
20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
20Молїть ся ж, щоб не довелось вам утїкати зимою, анї в суботу:
21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
21буде бо тодї мука велика, якої не було від настання сьвіту до сього часу, й не буде.
22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
22І коли б тих днїв не вкорочено, то жодне б тїло не спасло ся; тільки ж задля вибраних укорочені будуть днї тиї.
23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
23Тодї, коли хто вам скаже: Дивись, ось Христос, або онде; не йміть віри.
24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
24Устануть бо лжехристи й лжепророки, й давати муть ознаки великі й дива, щоб, коли можна, звести й вибраних.
25Behold, I have told you before.
25Оце ж наперед сказав я вам.
26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
26Коли ж скажуть вам: Ось він у пустинї; не виходьте; Ось він у коморах; не діймайте віри.
27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
27Бо, як блискавка виходить зі сходу та сяє аж до заходу, так буде й прихід Сина чоловічого.
28For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
28Де бо є труп, там збирати муть ся вірли.
29¶ Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
29І зараз після горя днїв тих сонце померкне, й місяць не давати ме сьвітла свого, й зорі попадають із неба, й сили небесні захитають ся.
30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
30І тодї явить ся ознака Сина чоловічого на небі; й тодї заголосять усї роди землї, і побачять Сина чоловічого, грядущого на хмарах небесних із силою й славою великою.
31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
31І пішле він ангели свої з голосним гуком трубним, і позбирають вони вибраних його від чотирох вітрів, од кінцїв неба до кінцїв його.
32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
32Від смоківницї ж навчіть ся приповісти: Коли вже віттє її стане мягке й пустить листє, знайте, що близько лїто.
33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
33Так само й ви: як оце все побачите, відайте, що близько під дверима.
34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
34Істино глаголю вам: Не перейде рід сей, як усе теє станеть ся.
35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
35Небо й земля перейде, слова ж мої не перейдуть.
36¶ But of that day and hour knoweth no man , no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
36Про день же той і годину нїхто не знає, нї ангели небесні, тільки сам Отець мій.
37But as the days of Noe were , so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
37Як же днї Ноєві, так буде й прихід Сина чоловічого.
38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
38Бо, як були за днїв перед потопом, що їли, й пили, женились, і віддавались, аж до дня, коли увійшов Ной у ковчег,
39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
39та й не знали, аж прийшла повідь і позносила всїх; так буде й прихід Сина чоловічого.
40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
40Тодї буде двоє в полї; один візьметь ся, а один зоставить ся.
41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41Дві молоти муть на жорнах; одна візьметь ся, а одна зоставить ся.
42¶ Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
42Ото ж пильнуйте, бо не знаєте, которої години Господь ваш прийде.
43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
43Се ж відайте, що коли б господар знав, у яку сторожу прийде злодїй, то пильнував би, та й не попустив би підкопати хати своєї.
44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
44Тим же й ви будьте готові; бо тієї години, як і не думаєте, Син чоловічий прийде.
45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
45Який єсть вірний слуга й розумний, що поставив пан його над челяддю своєю, щоб роздавав їй харч у пору?
46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
46Щасливий той слуга, котрого, прийшовши пан його, застане, що робить так.
47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
47Істино глаголю вам: Що поставить його над усїм добром своїм.
48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
48А которий лукавий слуга казати ме в серцї своїм: Забарить ся мій пан прийти,
49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
49та й зачне бити своїх товаришів, та їсти й пити з пяницями;
50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him , and in an hour that he is not aware of,
50то прийде пан того слуги дня, якого не сподїваєть ся, і години, якої не відає,
51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
51та й відлучить його, й долю його з лицемірами положить: там буде плач і скреготаннє зубів.
