1(18-1) For the Leader. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul; (18-2) And he said: I love thee, O LORD, my strength.
1Přednímu zpěváku, služebníka Hospodinova Davida, kterýž mluvil Hospodinu slova písně této v ten den, v němž ho vysvobodil Hospodin z ruky všech nepřátel jeho i z ruky Saulovy, a řekl:
2(18-3) The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in Him I take refuge; my shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower.
2Z vnitřnosti srdce miluji tě, Hospodine, sílo má.
3(18-4) Praised, I cry, is the LORD, and I am saved from mine enemies.
3Hospodin skála má a hrad můj, i vysvoboditel můj, Bůh silný můj, skála má, v němž naději skládám, štít můj a roh spasení mého, mé útočiště.
4(18-5) The cords of Death compassed me, and the floods of Belial assailed me.
5(18-6) The cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of Death confronted me.
5Obklíčilyť mne byly bolesti smrti, a proudové nešlechetných předěsili mne.
6(18-7) In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God; out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry came before Him unto His ears.
6Bylyť jsou mne obklíčily bolesti hrobu, osídla smrti zachvátila mne.
7(18-8) Then the earth did shake and quake, the foundations also of the mountains did tremble; they were shaken, because He was wroth.
8(18-9) Smoke arose up in His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth did devour; coals flamed forth from Him.
9(18-10) He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and thick darkness was under His feet.
10(18-11) And He rode upon a cherub, and did fly; yea, He did swoop down upon the wings of the wind.
11(18-12) He made darkness His hiding-place, His pavilion round about Him; darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
11A sedě na cherubínu, letěl, letěl na peří větrovém.
12(18-13) At the brightness before Him, there passed through His thick clouds hailstones and coals of fire.
12Udělal sobě z temností skrýši, vůkol sebe stánek svůj z temných vod a hustých oblaků.
13(18-14) The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High gave forth His voice; hailstones and coals of fire.
14(18-15) And He sent out His arrows, and scattered them; and He shot forth lightnings, and discomfited them.
14I hřímal na nebi Hospodin, a Nejvyšší vydal zvuk svůj, i krupobití a uhlí řeřavé.
15(18-16) And the channels of waters appeared, and the foundations of the world were laid bare, at Thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of Thy nostrils.
15Vystřelil i střely své, a rozptýlil je, a blýskáním častým porazil je.
16(18-17) He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.
17(18-18) He delivered me from mine enemy most strong, and from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
17Poslav s výsosti, uchopil mne, vytáhl mne z velikých vod.
18(18-19) They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was a stay unto me.
18Vytrhl mne od nepřítele mého silného, a od těch, kteříž mne nenáviděli, ačkoli silnější mne byli.
19(18-20) He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me.
20(18-21) The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.
21(18-22) For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
21Odplatil mi Hospodin podlé spravedlnosti mé, podlé čistoty rukou mých nahradil mi.
22(18-23) For all His ordinances were before me, and I put not away His statutes from me.
23(18-24) And I was single-hearted with Him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
24(18-25) Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His eyes.
25(18-26) With the merciful Thou dost show Thyself merciful, with the upright man Thou dost show Thyself upright;
25Protož odplatil mi Hospodin podlé spravedlnosti mé, podlé čistoty rukou mých, kteráž jest před očima jeho.
26(18-27) With the pure Thou dost show Thyself pure; and with the crooked Thou dost show Thyself subtle.
26Ty, Pane, s milosrdným milosrdně nakládáš, a k člověku upřímému upřímě se máš.
27(18-28) For Thou dost save the afflicted people; but the haughty eyes Thou dost humble.
27K sprostnému sprostně se ukazuješ, a s převráceným převráceně zacházíš.
28(18-29) For Thou dost light my lamp; the LORD my God doth lighten my darkness.
28Lid pak ssoužený vysvobozuješ, a oči vysoké snižuješ.
29(18-30) For by Thee I run upon a troop; and by my God do I scale a wall.
29Ty zajisté rozsvěcuješ svíci mou; Hospodin Bůh můj osvěcuje temnosti mé.
30(18-31) As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in Him.
30Nebo v tobě proběhl jsem vojsko, a v Bohu svém přeskočil jsem i zed.
31(18-32) For who is God, save the LORD? And who is a Rock, except our God?
31Boha tohoto silného cesta jest dokonalá, výmluvnosti Hospodinovy jsou přečištěné, onť jest štít všech, kteříž v něho doufají.
32(18-33) The God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way straight;
32Nebo kdo jest Bohem kromě Hospodina, a kdo skalou kromě Boha našeho?
33(18-34) Who maketh my feet like hinds', and setteth me upon my high places;
33Ten Bůh silný přepasuje mne udatností, a činí dokonalou cestu mou.
34(18-35) Who traineth my hands for war, so that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.
35(18-36) Thou hast also given me Thy shield of salvation, and Thy right hand hath holden me up; and Thy condescension hath made me great.
36(18-37) Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.
36Tys mi také dodal štítu spasení svého, a pravice tvá podpírala mne, a dobrotivost tvá mne zvelebila.
37(18-38) I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them; neither did I turn back till they were consumed.
38(18-39) I have smitten them through, so that they are not able to rise; they are fallen under my feet.
39(18-40) For Thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle; Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
40(18-41) Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, and I did cut off them that hate me.
40Ty jsi zajisté mne přepásal udatností k boji, povstávající proti mně sehnul jsi pode mne.
41(18-42) They cried, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but He answered them not.
41Nýbrž dals mi šíji nepřátel mých, abych ty, kteříž mne nenáviděli, vyplénil.
42(18-43) Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.
43(18-44) Thou hast delivered me from the contentions of the people; Thou hast made me the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known serve me.
44(18-45) As soon as they hear of me, they obey me; the sons of the stranger dwindle away before me.
44Ty jsi mne vyprostil z různic lidu, a postavils mne v hlavu národům; lid, kteréhož jsem neznal, sloužil mi.
45(18-46) The sons of the stranger fade away, and come trembling out of their close places.
45Jakž jen zaslechli, uposlechli mne, cizozemci lhali mi.
46(18-47) The LORD liveth, and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation;
46Cizozemci svadli a třásli se v ohradách svých.
47(18-48) Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, and subdueth peoples under me.
47Živť jest Hospodin, a požehnaná skála má; protož buď vyvyšován Bůh spasení mého,
48(18-49) He delivereth me from mine enemies; yea, Thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me; Thou deliverest me from the violent man.
48Bůh silný, kterýž mi pomsty poroučí, a podmaňuje mi lidi.
49(18-50) Therefore I will give thanks unto Thee, O LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises unto Thy name.
49Ty jsi vysvoboditel můj z moci nepřátel mých, také i nad povstávající proti mně vyvýšils mne, a od člověka ukrutného vyprostils mne.
50(18-51) Great salvation giveth He to His king; and showeth mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed, for evermore.
50A protož chváliti tě budu mezi národy, ó Hospodine, a jménu tvému žalmy prozpěvovati,
