1主をほめたたえよ！ 私の魂よ、主をほめたたえよ。
1Hallelujah! Praise the LORD, O my soul.
2私は生きているかぎり、主をほめたたえる。 命のあるかぎり、私の神をほめ歌う。
2I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
3王侯たちに信頼してはならない。 救う力のない人の子に。
3Put not your trust in princes, in mortal man, who cannot save.
4その霊が去ると、その人は土に帰る。 その日、その人の計画は滅びる。
4When his spirit departs, he returns to the ground; on that very day his plans perish.
5ヤコブの神を助けとし、 自分の神、主に望みを置く者は幸いである。
5Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,

7He executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free,
8主は目の見えない者の目を開き、 かがんでいる者を起こされる。 主は義人を愛される。
8the LORD opens the eyes of the blind, the LORD lifts those who are weighed down, the LORD loves the righteous.
9主は寄留者を守り、 父のない者とやもめを支えられる。 しかし、悪者の道をくつがえされる。
9The LORD protects foreigners; He sustains the fatherless and the widow, but the ways of the wicked He frustrates.
10主はとこしえに治められる。 シオンよ、あなたの神は代々に治められる。 主をほめたたえよ！
10The LORD reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Hallelujah!
