1苦しみの中で、私は主に叫び求めた。 主は私に答えてくださった。
1In my distress I cried to the LORD, and He answered me.
2主よ、偽りの唇から、 欺きの舌から、私の魂を救い出してください。
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips and a deceitful tongue.
3欺きの舌よ、何があなたに与えられ、 さらに何が加えられるのか。
3What will He do to you, and what will be added to you, O deceitful tongue?
4勇士の鋭い矢と、 えにしだの燃える炭だ。
4Sharp arrows will come from the warrior, with burning coals of the broom tree!
5ああ、私はなんと災いなのだ。メシェクに寄留し、 ケダルの天幕の中に住むとは。
5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar!
6私の魂はあまりにも長く、 平和を憎む者と共に住んできた。
6Too long have I dwelt among those who hate peace.
7私は平和を求める。 しかし、私が語ると、彼らは戦いを求める。
7I am in favor of peace; but when I speak, they want war.
