1Solomon kah, Ca aka cueih loh a napa ko a hoe sak tih ca aka ang tah a manu a pha-ueknah la om.
1The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father; but a foolish son is the grief of his mother.
2Halangnah kah thakvoh khaw hoeikhang tloe pawt tih, duengnah long tah dueknah lamloh a huul.
2Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; but righteousness delivereth from death.
3Aka dueng kah hinglu tah BOEIPA loh a lamlum sak moenih, tedae halang kah a talnah te a thaek pah.
3The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish; but He thrusteth away the desire of the wicked.
4Palyal kut loh a saii tah vawtthoek tih, kut aka haam tah boei.
4He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand; but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
5Khohal ah aka yoep capa long tah a cangbam tih, cangah vaengah aka ip capa loh yah a bai.
5A wise son gathereth in summer; but a son that doeth shamefully sleepeth in harvest.
6Aka dueng kah a lu dongah yoethennah om dae, halang kah a ka long tah kuthlahnah khaw a phah.
6Blessings are upon the head of the righteous; but the mouth of the wicked concealeth violence.
7Aka dueng poekkoepnah tah yoethennah la om dae, halang tah a ming pawn ni.
7The memory of the righteous shall be for a blessing; but the name of the wicked shall rot.
8Lungbuei aka cueih loh olpaek te a doe tih, aka ang tah a hmui a lai a caehdoelh pah.
8The wise in heart will receive commandments; but a prating fool shall fall.
9Thincaknah neh aka pongpa tah ngaikhuek la cet dae, a longpuei aka kawn sak khaw amah ming uh bitni.
9He that walketh uprightly walketh securely; but he that perverteth his ways shall be found out.
10Mik neh aka mikhip loh nganboh a paek tih, aka ang tah a hmui a lai a caehdoelh pah.
10He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow; and a prating fool shall fall.
11Aka dueng kah a ka tah hingnah thunsih la om tih, halang kah a ka loh kuthlahnah te a uep.
11The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life; but the mouth of the wicked concealeth violence.
12Hmuhuetnah loh tingtoehnah a huek. Tedae lungnah long tah dumlai boeih a dah.
12Hatred stirreth up strifes; but love covereth all transgressions.
13Hmuilai dongah aka yakming loh cueihnah a dang tih, lungbuei aka talh kah a nam ham rhuiboeng om.
13In the lips of him that hath discernment wisdom is found; but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
14Aka cueih rhoek loh mingnah a khoem uh tih aka ang kah a ka tah a porhaknah yoei.
14Wise men lay up knowledge; but the mouth of the foolish is an imminent ruin.
15Khorha khuikah, hlanglen kah a boei a rhaeng tah amah kah a sarhi la om tih, a khodaeng te tattloel rhoek kah porhaknah la om.
15The rich man's wealth is his strong city; the ruin of the poor is their poverty.
16Aka dueng kah thaphu tah hingnah la om tih halang kah cangah tah tholhnah la poeh.
16The wages of the righteous is life; the increase of the wicked is sin.
17Thuituennah aka ngaithuen tah hingnah caehlong la pawk tih toelthamnah aka hnawt tah kho a hmang.
17He is in the way of life that heedeth instruction; but he that forsaketh reproof erreth.
18Hmuhuetnah aka phah kah a hmuilai khaw a honghi la om tih, theetnah aka haeh khaw ang.
18He that hideth hatred is of lying lips; and he that uttereth a slander is a fool.
19Olka a yet vaengah dumlai khaw a mueh moenih, tedae a hmuilai aka tuem ni lungming la a om.
19In the multitude of words there wanteth not transgression; but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
20Aka dueng kah ol tah cak a coelh bangla om tih halang kah a lungbuei tah vilvel mai ni.
20The tongue of the righteous is as choice silver; the heart of the wicked is little worth.
21Aka dueng kah hmuilai loh muep a kok tih aka ang tah a lungbuei a talh dongah duek.
21The lips of the righteous feed many; but the foolish die for want of understanding.
22BOEIPA kah yoethennah tah boei tih, te te patangpnah a koei thil moenih.
22The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and toil addeth nothing thereto.
23Aka ang ham tah nueihbu te khonuen rhamtat la a saii dae, cueihnah long tah hlang taengah lungcuei la om.
23It is as sport to a fool to do wickedness, and so is wisdom to a man of discernment.
24Halang kah rhihnahkoi tah amah taengla a pawk pah tih aka dueng kah a ngaihlihnah khaw a doo pah ni.
24The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him; and the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
25Cangpalam loh a paan vaengah halang tah pai thai pawt vetih aka dueng kah khoengim tah kumhal ah pai ni.
25When the whirlwind passeth, the wicked is no more; but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
26Kolhnaw tah a tueih rhoek hamla a no dongah a thuui bangla, a mik dongah hmaikhu bangla a om pah.
26As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
27BOEIPA hinyahnah loh khohnin a thap tih halang kah a kum tah a rhaem pah.
27The fear of the LORD prolongeth days; but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28Aka dueng rhoek kah ngaiuepnah tah kohoenah la om tih halang rhoek kah ngaiuepnah tah paltham.
28The hope of the righteous is gladness; but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
29BOEIPA kah longpuei he thincaknah ham tah lunghim la om tih boethae aka saii ham porhaknah la om.
29The way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright, but ruin to the workers of iniquity.
30Aka dueng tah kumhal duela tuen pawt dae halang rhoek tah diklai ah khosa mahpawh.
30The righteous shall never be moved; but the wicked shall not inhabit the land.
31Aka dueng kah a ka ah cueihnah cuen tih calaak rhoek kah a lai tah a yueh pah ni.
31The mouth of the righteous buddeth with wisdom; but the froward tongue shall be cut off.
32Aka dueng kah hmuilai tah kolonah la a ming dae halang rhoek kah a ka tah calaak yoeyah.
32The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable; but the mouth of the wicked is all frowardness.
