1“อย่าปล่อยให้ใจของพวกคุณเป็นทุกข์ จงเชื่อในพระเจ้า และจงเชื่อในเราด้วย
1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2ในบ้านของพระบิดาของเรา มีที่อยู่มากมาย ถ้าไม่เป็นอย่างนั้น เราคงบอกพวกคุณแล้ว เรากำลังไปเตรียมที่ให้พวกคุณ
2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so , I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3ถ้าเราไปและเตรียมที่ให้พวกคุณ เราจะกลับมาอีก และรับพวกคุณไปอยู่กับเรา เพื่อว่าเราอยู่ที่ไหน พวกคุณก็จะอยู่ที่นั่นด้วย
3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4พวกคุณรู้ว่า เรากำลังไปที่ไหน และพวกคุณรู้จักหนทาง”
4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5โธมัสถามพระองค์ว่า “องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พวกเราไม่รู้ว่าท่านกำลังไปที่ไหน แล้วพวกเราจะรู้จักหนทางได้อย่างไร?”
5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6พระเยซูตอบเขาว่า “เราคือหนทาง ความจริง และชีวิต ไม่มีใครมาถึงพระบิดาได้ นอกจากผ่านทางเรา
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7ถ้าพวกคุณรู้จักเรา พวกคุณก็คงรู้จักพระบิดาของเราด้วย ตั้งแต่ตอนนี้ไป พวกคุณรู้จักพระองค์ และได้เห็นพระองค์แล้ว”
7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8ฟีลิปพูดกับพระองค์ว่า “องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขอให้พวกเราได้เห็นพระบิดา แล้วพวกเราก็พอใจ”
8Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9พระเยซูกล่าวกับเขาว่า “ฟีลิป เราอยู่กับพวกคุณมานานขนาดนี้ แล้วท่านยังไม่รู้จักเราหรือ? คนที่เห็นเรา ก็ได้เห็นพระบิดา แล้วท่านพูดได้อย่างไรว่า ‘ขอให้พวกเราได้เห็นพระบิดา’?
9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then , Shew us the Father?
10ท่านไม่เชื่อหรือว่า เราอยู่ในพระบิดา และพระบิดาอยู่ในเรา? ถ้อยคำที่เราพูดกับพวกคุณ เราไม่ได้พูดจากตัวเราเอง แต่พระบิดาผู้อยู่ในเราเป็นผู้ทำงานเหล่านั้น
10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11จงเชื่อเราว่า เราอยู่ในพระบิดา และพระบิดาอยู่ในเรา หรืออย่างน้อยก็จงเชื่อเพราะงานเหล่านั้นเอง
11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12เราขอยืนยันกับพวกคุณว่า คนที่เชื่อในเรา จะทำงานที่เราทำด้วย และจะทำงานที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่างานเหล่านี้ เพราะเรากำลังไปหาพระบิดาของเรา
12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13สิ่งใดก็ตามที่พวกคุณขอในนามของเรา เราจะทำสิ่งนั้น เพื่อพระบิดาจะได้รับพระสิริในพระบุตร
13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14ถ้าพวกคุณขอสิ่งใดในนามของเรา เราจะทำสิ่งนั้น
14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15ถ้าพวกคุณรักเรา ก็จงรักษาคำบัญชาของเรา
15¶ If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16เราจะอธิษฐานขอต่อพระบิดา และพระองค์จะให้ผู้ช่วยเหลืออีกผู้หนึ่งแก่พวกคุณ เพื่อให้อยู่กับพวกคุณตลอดไป คือ
16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17พระวิญญาณแห่งความจริง ซึ่งโลกไม่สามารถรับได้ เพราะโลกมองไม่เห็นและไม่รู้จักพระวิญญาณนั้น พวกคุณรู้จักพระวิญญาณนั้น เพราะอยู่กับพวกคุณ และจะอยู่ในพวกคุณ
17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18เราจะไม่ปล่อยพวกคุณไว้เป็นกำพร้า เราจะมาหาพวกคุณ
18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19อีกเพียงไม่นาน โลกจะไม่เห็นเราอีก แต่พวกคุณจะเห็นเรา เพราะเรามีชีวิต พวกคุณก็จะมีชีวิตด้วย
19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20ในวันนั้น พวกคุณจะรู้ว่า เราอยู่ในพระบิดาของเรา พวกคุณอยู่ในเรา และเราอยู่ในพวกคุณ
20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21คนที่รับคำบัญชาของเราไว้ และรักษาคำบัญชาเหล่านั้น คือคนที่รักเรา คนที่รักเรา พระบิดาของเราจะรักเขา และเราจะรักเขา และเปิดเผยตัวเราแก่เขา”
21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22ยูดาส ซึ่งไม่ใช่อิสคาริโอท ถามพระองค์ว่า “องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เกิดอะไรขึ้นหรือ ท่านจึงจะเปิดเผยตัวแก่พวกเรา แต่ไม่เปิดเผยแก่โลก?”
22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23พระเยซูตอบเขาว่า “ถ้าใครรักเรา เขาจะรักษาถ้อยคำของเรา พระบิดาของเราจะรักเขา และเราทั้งสองจะมาหาเขา และจะอาศัยอยู่กับเขา
23Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24คนที่ไม่รักเรา ก็ไม่รักษาถ้อยคำของเรา ถ้อยคำที่พวกคุณได้ยินนั้นไม่ใช่ของเรา แต่เป็นของพระบิดาผู้ส่งเรามา
24He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
25“เราได้บอกสิ่งเหล่านี้แก่พวกคุณ ขณะที่เรายังอยู่กับพวกคุณ
25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26แต่ผู้ช่วยเหลือ คือพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ ซึ่งพระบิดาจะส่งมาในนามของเรา จะสอนทุกสิ่งแก่พวกคุณ และทำให้พวกคุณระลึกถึงทุกสิ่งที่เราได้บอกพวกคุณ
26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27เรามอบสันติสุขไว้กับพวกคุณ เราให้สันติสุขของเราแก่พวกคุณ เราไม่ได้ให้อย่างที่โลกให้ อย่าปล่อยให้ใจของพวกคุณเป็นทุกข์ และอย่าหวาดกลัว
27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28พวกคุณได้ยินที่เราบอกว่า ‘เรากำลังจากไป และเราจะกลับมาหาพวกคุณ’ ถ้าพวกคุณรักเรา พวกคุณคงยินดีที่เราพูดว่า ‘เรากำลังไปหาพระบิดา’ เพราะพระบิดายิ่งใหญ่กว่าเรา
28Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29ตอนนี้เราได้บอกพวกคุณไว้ก่อนที่เรื่องนั้นจะเกิดขึ้น เพื่อเมื่อมันเกิดขึ้น พวกคุณจะเชื่อ
29And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30จากนี้ไป เราจะพูดกับพวกคุณไม่มาก เพราะผู้ครองโลกนี้กำลังมา และเขาไม่มีส่วนใดในเรา
30Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31แต่เพื่อให้โลกรู้ว่า เรารักพระบิดา และเราทำตามที่พระบิดาบัญชาเราทุกอย่าง ลุกขึ้นเถอะ ไปจากที่นี่กัน
31But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
