1A Psalm of praise; of David. I will extol Thee, my God, O King; and I will bless Thy name for ever and ever.
1Louange. De David. Je t’exalterai, ô mon Dieu, mon roi! Et je bénirai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité.
2Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name for ever and ever.
2Chaque jour je te bénirai, Et je célébrerai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité.
3Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.
3L’Éternel est grand et très digne de louange, Et sa grandeur est insondable.
4One generation shall laud Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts.
4Que chaque génération célèbre tes œuvres, Et publie tes hauts faits!
5The glorious splendour of Thy majesty, and Thy wondrous works, will I rehearse.
5Je dirai la splendeur glorieuse de ta majesté; Je chanterai tes merveilles.
6And men shall speak of the might of Thy tremendous acts; and I will tell of Thy greatness.
6On parlera de ta puissance redoutable, Et je raconterai ta grandeur.
7They shall utter the fame of Thy great goodness, and shall sing of Thy righteousness.
7Qu’on proclame le souvenir de ton immense bonté, Et qu’on célèbre ta justice!
8The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
8L’Éternel est miséricordieux et compatissant, Lent à la colère et plein de bonté.
9The LORD is good to all; and His tender mercies are over all His works.
9L’Éternel est bon envers tous, Et ses compassions s’étendent sur toutes ses œuvres.
10All Thy works shall praise Thee, O LORD; and Thy saints shall bless Thee.
10Toutes tes œuvres te loueront, ô Éternel! Et tes fidèles te béniront.
11They shall speak of the glory of Thy kingdom, and talk of Thy might;
11Ils diront la gloire de ton règne, Et ils proclameront ta puissance,
12To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of His kingdom.
12Pour faire connaître aux fils de l’homme ta puissance Et la splendeur glorieuse de ton règne.
13Thy kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
13Ton règne est un règne de tous les siècles, Et ta domination subsiste dans tous les âges.
14The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that are bowed down.
14L’Éternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, Et il redresse tous ceux qui sont courbés.
15The eyes of all wait for Thee, and Thou givest them their food in due season.
15Les yeux de tous espèrent en toi, Et tu leur donnes la nourriture en son temps.
16Thou openest Thy hand, and satisfiest every living thing with favour.
16Tu ouvres ta main, Et tu rassasies à souhait tout ce qui a vie.
17The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and gracious in all His works.
17L’Éternel est juste dans toutes ses voies, Et miséricordieux dans toutes ses œuvres.
18The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.
18L’Éternel est près de tous ceux qui l’invoquent, De tous ceux qui l’invoquent avec sincérité;
19He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.
19Il accomplit les désirs de ceux qui le craignent, Il entend leur cri et il les sauve.
20The LORD preserveth all them that love Him; but all the wicked will He destroy.
20L’Éternel garde tous ceux qui l’aiment, Et il détruit tous les méchants.
21My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever.
21Que ma bouche publie la louange de l’Éternel, Et que toute chair bénisse son saint nom, A toujours et à perpétuité!
