1A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and justice; unto Thee, O LORD, will I sing praises.
1De David. Psaume. Je chanterai la bonté et la justice; C’est à toi, Éternel! Que je chanterai.
2I will give heed unto the way of integrity; Oh when wilt Thou come unto me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.
2Je prendrai garde à la voie droite. Quand viendras-tu à moi? Je marcherai dans l’intégrité de mon cœur, Au milieu de ma maison.
3I will set no base thing before mine eyes; I hate the doing of things crooked; it shall not cleave unto me.
3Je ne mettrai rien de mauvais devant mes yeux; Je hais la conduite des pécheurs; Elle ne s’attachera point à moi.
4A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil thing.
4Le cœur pervers s’éloignera de moi; Je ne veux pas connaître le méchant.
5Whoso slandereth his neighbour in secret, him will I destroy; whoso is haughty of eye and proud of heart, him will I not suffer.
5Celui qui calomnie en secret son prochain, je l’anéantirai; Celui qui a des regards hautains et un cœur enflé, je ne le supporterai pas.
6Mine eyes are upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a way of integrity, he shall minister unto me.
6J’aurai les yeux sur les fidèles du pays, Pour qu’ils demeurent auprès de moi; Celui qui marche dans une voie intègre sera mon serviteur.
7He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehood shall not be established before mine eyes.
7Celui qui se livre à la fraude n’habitera pas dans ma maison; Celui qui dit des mensonges ne subsistera pas en ma présence.
8Morning by morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land; to cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of the LORD.
8Chaque matin j’anéantirai tous les méchants du pays, Afin d’exterminer de la ville de l’Éternel Tous ceux qui commettent l’iniquité.
