1The LORD reigneth; let the peoples tremble; He is enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake.
1L’Éternel règne: les peuples tremblent; Il est assis sur les chérubins: la terre chancelle.
2The LORD is great in Zion; and He is high above all the peoples.
2L’Éternel est grand dans Sion, Il est élevé au-dessus de tous les peuples.
3Let them praise Thy name as great and awful; Holy is He.
3Qu’on célèbre ton nom grand et redoutable! Il est saint!
4The strength also of the king who loveth justice — Thou hast established equity, Thou hast executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
4Qu’on célèbre la force du roi qui aime la justice! Tu affermis la droiture, Tu exerces en Jacob la justice et l’équité.
5Exalt ye the LORD our God, and prostrate yourselves at His footstool; Holy is He.
5Exaltez l’Éternel, notre Dieu, Et prosternez-vous devant son marchepied! Il est saint!
6Moses and Aaron among His priests, and Samuel among them that call upon His name, did call upon the LORD, and He answered them.
6Moïse et Aaron parmi ses sacrificateurs, Et Samuel parmi ceux qui invoquaient son nom, Invoquèrent l’Éternel, et il les exauça.
7He spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud; they kept His testimonies, and the statute that He gave them.
7Il leur parla dans la colonne de nuée; Ils observèrent ses commandements Et la loi qu’il leur donna.
8O LORD our God, Thou didst answer them; a forgiving God wast Thou unto them, though Thou tookest vengeance of their misdeeds.
8Éternel, notre Dieu, tu les exauças, Tu fus pour eux un Dieu qui pardonne, Mais tu les as punis de leurs fautes.
9Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at His holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
9Exaltez l’Éternel, notre Dieu, Et prosternez-vous sur sa montagne sainte! Car il est saint, l’Éternel, notre Dieu!
