Berean Standard Bible
1Kai tah a thinpom caitueng dongkah phacipphabaem aka hmu hlang ni.
1I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of God’s wrath.
2He has driven me away and made me walk in darkness instead of light.
3Kai taengah a tloeng tangloeng tih khohnin yung ah a kut a hluem.
3Indeed, He keeps turning His hand against me all day long.
4Ka vin neh ka saa a hmawn sak tih ka rhuh a paep sak.
4He has worn away my flesh and skin; He has shattered my bones.
5Kai he rhahalung n'suem thil tih sue neh bongboepnah te m'ven thil.
5He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
6Ka khosak he khosuen kah aka duek bangla khohmuep ah ka om.
6He has made me dwell in darkness like those dead for ages.
7Kai taengah khoep a biing tih ka rhohum loh n'nan he ka loeih pawh.
7He has walled me in so I cannot escape; He has weighed me down with chains.
8Ka khue tih ka pang vaengah pataeng ka thangthuinah te a toeng.
8Even when I cry out and plead for help, He shuts out my prayer.
9Lungrhaih neh ka longpuei a biing tih ka hawn a paihaeh sak.
9He has barred my ways with cut stones; He has made my paths crooked.
10Kai taengah tah vom neh sathueng pataeng a huephael kah sathueng bangla amah rhongngol coeng.
10He is a bear lying in wait, a lion hiding in ambush.
11Ka longpuei ah m'phaelh sak tih kai n'soek dongah kai aka pong la n'khueh.
11He forced me off my path and tore me to pieces; He left me without help.
12A lii a phuk tih thaltang ham kutnoek la kai n'tai.
12He bent His bow and set me as the target for His arrow.
13Anih kah liva ca loh ka kuel khuila pawlh.
13He pierced my kidneys with His arrows.
14Ka pilnam pum kah nueihbu neh khohnin yung ah amih kah rhotoeng la ka poeh.
14I am a laughingstock to all my people; they mock me in song all day long.
15Ankhaa te kai ng'kum sak tih pantong neh kai m'hmilhmal sak.
15He has filled me with bitterness; He has intoxicated me with wormwood.
16Ka no he lungcang neh a mawth tih hmaiphu khuiah kai m'vuei.
16He has ground my teeth with gravel and trampled me in the dust.
17Ka hinglu he ngaimongnah lamloh a hlahpham tih a then khaw ka hnilh.
17My soul has been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
18Te dongah kai kah hmailong neh BOEIPA lamkah ka ngaiuepnah khaw paltham coeng ka ti.
18So I say, “My strength has perished, along with my hope from the LORD.”
19Kai kah phaiphabaem neh ka airhoeng khaw, ka pantong neh ka anrhat khaw poek lah.
19Remember my affliction and wandering, the wormwood and the gall.
20A poek a poek vaengah ka khuikah ka hinglu tah tlayae la tlayae coeng.
20Surely my soul remembers and is humbled within me.
21He he ka ngaiuep dongah ni ka lungbuei he ka mael puei.
21Yet I call this to mind, and therefore I have hope:
22BOEIPA kah sitlohnah tah bawt pawt tih a haidamnah khaw muei pawh.
22Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail.
23Mincang ah na uepomnah thai khaw ping.
23They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!
24“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”
25BOEIPA tah amah aka lamtawn ham neh amah aka toem hinglu ham a then pah.
25The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
26BOEIPA kah loeihnah dongah tah rhingoel ngolsut ham khaw then.
26It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
27A camoe vaengah hnamkun a phueih te ni hlang ham khaw then.
27It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is still young.
28Amah soah a poeh bangla amah bueng khosa saeh lamtah kuemsuem saeh.
28Let him sit alone in silence, for God has disciplined him.
29A ka te laipi khuiah vuei saeh lamtah ngaiuepnah a om khaming.
29Let him bury his face in the dust— perhaps there is still hope.
30Amah aka ngawn ham a kam duen pah saeh lamtah kokhahnah neh kum saeh.
30Let him offer his cheek to the one who would strike him; let him be filled with reproach.
31Ka Boeipa loh kumhal duela a hlahpham ngawn moenih.
31For the Lord will not cast us off forever.
32Pae sak bal mai cakhaw a sitlohnah dongkah sitlohnah a khawk vanbangla a haidam bitni.
32Even if He causes grief, He will show compassion according to His abundant loving devotion.
33Hlang ca te a lungbuei a phaep pah tih a pae sak bal moenih.
33For He does not willingly afflict or grieve the sons of men.
34Khohmuen kah thongtla boeih te a kho hmuiah a phop ham,
34To crush underfoot all the prisoners of the land,
35Khohni kah mikhmuh ah hlang kah tiktamnah hnawt ham,
35to deny a man justice before the Most High,
36A tuituknah neh hlang a khun sak ham khaw ka Boeipa loh a hmuh ngaih moenih.
36to subvert a man in his lawsuit— of these the Lord does not approve.
37Ka Boeipa loh a uen pawt te om ni tila unim aka thui thai.
37Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has ordained it?
38A thae neh a then khaw Khohni ka lamloh thoeng pawt nim.
38Do not both adversity and good come from the mouth of the Most High?
39A tholhnah sokah a tholhnah yuvat ah balae tih tongpa hlang hing loh a kohuet mai eh.
39Why should any mortal man complain, in view of his sins?
40Mamih kah longpuei he phuelhthaih tih n'khe phoeiah BOEIPA taengla mael uh sih.
40Let us examine and test our ways, and turn back to the LORD.
41Mamih kah thinko neh kut he vaan kah Pathen taengah phuel uh sih.
41Let us lift up our hearts and hands to God in heaven:
42Kaimih kah boekoek neh nang kan koek uh te khodawk nan ngai uh moenih.
42“We have sinned and rebelled; You have not forgiven.”
43Thintoek neh na cun uh vaengah kaimih nan hloem tih lungma ti kolla nan ngawn.
43You have covered Yourself in anger and pursued us; You have killed without pity.
44Thangthuinah neh paan ham khaw namah te cingmai neh na cun uh.
44You have covered Yourself with a cloud that no prayer can pass through.
45Kaimih he pilnam lakli ah yun-aek neh kawnhnawt la nan khueh.
45You have made us scum and refuse among the nations.
46Ka thunkha boeih loh kaimih taengah a ka a ang uh.
46All our enemies open their mouths against us.
47Birhihnah neh rhom khaw kaimih taengah omdamnah neh pocinah la thoeng.
47Panic and pitfall have come upon us— devastation and destruction.
48Ka pilnam nu kah a pocinah dongah ka mik he sokca tui la long.
48Streams of tears flow from my eyes over the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49Ka mik loh a hawk vetih a bawtnah om pawt hil kak mahpawh.
49My eyes overflow unceasingly, without relief,
50A dan neh BOEIPA loh vaan lamkah a hmuh duela.
50until the LORD looks down from heaven and sees.
51Ka khopuei tanu boeih kongah ka mik loh ka hinglu he a poelyoe.
51My eyes bring grief to my soul because of all the daughters of my city.
52Lunglilungla maila kai he ka thunkha rhoek loh vaa bangla m'mae khaw m'mae uh mai.
52Without cause my enemies hunted me like a bird.
53Ka hingnah te tangrhom ah a det uh kai taengah lungto a omtoem thil.
53They dropped me alive into a pit and cast stones upon me.
54Ka lu he tui loh a et vaengah tah n'tuiphih muema ka ti.
54The waters flowed over my head, and I thought I was going to die.
55I called on Your name, O LORD, out of the depths of the Pit.
56You heard my plea: “Do not ignore my cry for relief.”
57Namah kang khue khohnin ah na mop tih, “Rhih boeh,” na ti.
57You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not be afraid.”
58You defend my cause, O Lord; You redeem my life.
59You have seen, O LORD, the wrong done to me; vindicate my cause!
60You have seen all their malice, all their plots against me.
61BOEIPA aw kai soah amih kah kokhahnah neh amih kah kopoek boeih te na yaak coeng.
61O LORD, You have heard their insults, all their plots against me—

62the slander and murmuring of my assailants against me all day long.
63A hoepnah neh a painah ah, amih kah hnaelnah ni ka paelki.
63When they sit and when they rise, see how they mock me in song.
64BOEIPA aw, amih kut dongkah khoboe neh a tiing la amih te thuung lah.
64You will pay them back what they deserve, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.
65Put a veil of anguish over their hearts; may Your curse be upon them!
66You will pursue them in anger and exterminate them from under Your heavens, O LORD.
