Berean Standard Bible
1Kai loe anih palungphuihaih quiboeng hoiah patang ka khang boeh.
1I am the man who has seen affliction under the rod of God’s wrath.
2Anih mah khodai ai, khoving thungah ang hoih.
2He has driven me away and made me walk in darkness instead of light.
3Anih mah ang thuitaek; athun qui vaihi hoi vaihi a ban hoiah ang thuitaek.
3Indeed, He keeps turning His hand against me all day long.
4He has worn away my flesh and skin; He has shattered my bones.
5Kai tuk hanah misatuh kaminawk to pakhueng moe, kakhaa hoi karai hmuen hoiah ang takui khoep.
5He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
6Canghnii ah kadueh kami baktiah, khoving thungah ang suek.
6He has made me dwell in darkness like those dead for ages.
7He has walled me in so I cannot escape; He has weighed me down with chains.
8Even when I cry out and plead for help, He shuts out my prayer.
9Ka caehhaih loklam to thlung hoiah ang pakaa pae khoep moe, kang koih loklam to ang pazuisak.
9He has barred my ways with cut stones; He has made my paths crooked.
10Anih loe kai hanah, moi angang taqom baktih, amtueng ai ahmuen ah kaom kaipui baktiah oh.
10He is a bear lying in wait, a lion hiding in ambush.
11Anih mah kai loklam amkhraengsak moe, ang taprawt pet pacoengah, kai hae amrosak.
11He forced me off my path and tore me to pieces; He left me without help.
12Anih mah kalii anueng moe, kai to palaa kahhaih ahmuen ah ang suek.
12He bent His bow and set me as the target for His arrow.
13Kalii tabu thung ih anih ih palaanawk mah ka kaeng ah cop.
13He pierced my kidneys with His arrows.
14I am a laughingstock to all my people; they mock me in song all day long.
15Anih mah kakhaa tui hoiah ang bawh moe, kakhaa ahmuet hoiah ang paquisak.
15He has filled me with bitterness; He has intoxicated me with wormwood.
16He has ground my teeth with gravel and trampled me in the dust.
17My soul has been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
18To pongah Angraeng khae ih thacakhaih hoi oephaih to om ai boeh, tiah ka thuih.
18So I say, “My strength has perished, along with my hope from the LORD.”
19Patangkhanghaih hoi raihaih, kakhaa tui hoi kakhaa ahmuet doeh ka pahnet ai vop.
19Remember my affliction and wandering, the wormwood and the gall.
20To baktih hmuennawk to ka hinghaih pakhra mah panoek poe moe, ka thung ah angam sut boeh.
20Surely my soul remembers and is humbled within me.
21Palung thungah ka poek poe pongah oephaih ka tawnh.
21Yet I call this to mind, and therefore I have hope:
22Angraeng amlunghaih loe boeng thai ai, anih mah palungnathaih tawn ai nahaeloe, aicae loe amro tih boeh.
22Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail.
23Akhawnbang kruek tahmenhaih kangtha a hnuk o; na oep thohhaih loe paroeai len.
23They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!
24Angraeng loe kai ih taham ah oh, tiah ka hinghaih pakhra mah thuih pongah, anih to ka zing han.
24“The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.”
25Angraeng hoihhaih loe anih oephaih tawn kami, hinghaih pakhra hoi anih pakrong kaminawk khaeah oh.
25The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
26Kami loe Angraeng pahlonghaih to oep moe, zing han hoih.
26It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
27Kami loe thendoeng nathuem ah tok karai sak han hoih.
27It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is still young.
28Anih nuiah hmuen to amtik boeh pongah, angmabueng anghnut moe, anghngai duem han oh.
28Let him sit alone in silence, for God has disciplined him.
29Oephaih om tih hmang tiah poek nahaeloe, a mikhmai to maiphu pongah akuep nasoe.
29Let him bury his face in the dust— perhaps there is still hope.
30Anih tabaeng kami khaeah tangbaeng patueng pae nasoe loe, ahmin sethaih hoiah koi nasoe.
30Let him offer his cheek to the one who would strike him; let him be filled with reproach.
31Sithaw mah aicae dungzan khoek to vaa mak ai;
31For the Lord will not cast us off forever.
32anih mah palungsethaih phaksak, toe paroeai pop anih palungnathaih hoi amlunghaih to amtuengsak let tih.
32Even if He causes grief, He will show compassion according to His abundant loving devotion.
33Anih loe kaminawk nuiah palungsethaih hoi amtanghaih phaksak han koeh ai.
33For He does not willingly afflict or grieve the sons of men.
34Long ah thongkrah kaminawk boih khok hoiah cawh moe,
34To crush underfoot all the prisoners of the land,
35sang koek Sithaw hmaa ah kami mah toenghaih baktiah hnuk han koi hmuen lak pae ving pacoengah,
35to deny a man justice before the Most High,
36kami mah hnuk han koi hmuen sungsak ving hanah Angraeng mah koeh ai.
36to subvert a man in his lawsuit— of these the Lord does not approve.
37Angraeng lokpaekhaih om ai ah, mi mah maw a thuih ih lok baktiah angcoengsak thaih?
37Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has ordained it?
38Sang koek Sithaw ih pakha thung hoiah na ai maw kahoih hoi kasae hmuen to angzo hmaek?
38Do not both adversity and good come from the mouth of the Most High?
39Kami mah a zaehaih pongah danpaek naah, tipongah kahing kami loe laisaep khing loe?
39Why should any mortal man complain, in view of his sins?
40To tiah oh pongah loe a caeh o haih loklam hae pakrong tanoek si loe, Angraeng khaeah amlaem o let si.
40Let us examine and test our ways, and turn back to the LORD.
41Vannawk ranui ah kaom Sithaw khaeah, ban a payangh o moe, lawk a thuih o naah, poekhaih palungthin doeh anih khaeah paek o si.
41Let us lift up our hearts and hands to God in heaven:
42Ka zae o moe, na lok kang aek o moeng boeh; kaicae zaehaih to nang tahmen ai vop.
42“We have sinned and rebelled; You have not forgiven.”
43You have covered Yourself in anger and pursued us; You have killed without pity.
44You have covered Yourself with a cloud that no prayer can pass through.
45Kaminawk salakah anghnoeng baktih, panuet thok hmuen baktiah nang ohsak boeh.
45You have made us scum and refuse among the nations.
46Kaicae ih misa boih mah, pakha ang angh o thuih.
46All our enemies open their mouths against us.
47Kaicae nui ah zithaih, amtimhaih, amrohaih hoi anghmat angtaahaih to phak boeh.
47Panic and pitfall have come upon us— devastation and destruction.
48Kai kami ih canunawk amro o boeh pongah, ka mik hoiah vapui tui to long.
48Streams of tears flow from my eyes over the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49Ka mikkhraetui loe kang ai ah long tih, anghak mak ai,
49My eyes overflow unceasingly, without relief,
50Angraeng mah hnu ai karoek to van hoiah dan tathuk.
50until the LORD looks down from heaven and sees.
51My eyes bring grief to my soul because of all the daughters of my city.
52Without cause my enemies hunted me like a bird.
53They dropped me alive into a pit and cast stones upon me.
54Tui mah ka lu uem naah, ka duek boeh, tiah ka poek.
54The waters flowed over my head, and I thought I was going to die.
55Aw Angraeng, tangqom thung hoiah na hmin to kang kawk.
55I called on Your name, O LORD, out of the depths of the Pit.
56You heard my plea: “Do not ignore my cry for relief.”
57Nang kang kawk naah, kai nang hnai thuih moe, zii hmah, tiah nang naa.
57You drew near when I called on You; You said, “Do not be afraid.”
58You defend my cause, O Lord; You redeem my life.
59You have seen, O LORD, the wrong done to me; vindicate my cause!
60Nihcae mah misa ah ang suekhaih hoi a poek o ih hmuen to na hnuk boih boeh.
60You have seen all their malice, all their plots against me.
61Aw Angraeng, nihcae kasaethuihaih hoi poekhaihnawk to na thaih boeh.
61O LORD, You have heard their insults, all their plots against me—
62Athun qui kai patoem kaminawk hoi kai misa angthawk thuih kaminawk mah thuih ih lok to na thaih boeh.
62the slander and murmuring of my assailants against me all day long.
63Nihcae anghnuthaih hoi angthawkhaih to khenah; kai loe nihcae laasak thuih han ih ni ka oh sut boeh.
63When they sit and when they rise, see how they mock me in song.
64Aw Angraeng, angmacae ban mah sak ih hmuen baktih toengah, nihcae khaeah pathok pae let ah.
64You will pay them back what they deserve, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.
65Nihcae han qahhaih palungthin to paek ah loe, nihcae to tangoeng thuih ah.
65Put a veil of anguish over their hearts; may Your curse be upon them!
66Palungphuihaih hoiah nihcae to pacaekthlaek hanah, maeto doeh anghmat ai ah Angraeng ih van tlim ah kaom hmuennawk to amrosak boih ah.
66You will pursue them in anger and exterminate them from under Your heavens, O LORD.
