1Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is comely.
2L’Éternel rebâtit Jérusalem, Il rassemble les exilés d’Israël;
2The LORD doth build up Jerusalem, He gathereth together the dispersed of Israel;
3Who healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4He counteth the number of the stars; He giveth them all their names.
5Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
6L’Éternel soutient les malheureux, Il abaisse les méchants jusqu’à terre.
6The LORD upholdeth the humble; He bringeth the wicked down to the ground.
7Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving, sing praises upon the harp unto our God;
8Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh the mountains to spring with grass.
9He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
10Ce n’est pas dans la vigueur du cheval qu’il se complaît, Ce n’est pas dans les jambes de l’homme qu’il met son plaisir;
10He delighteth not in the strength of the horse; He taketh no pleasure in the legs of a man.
11The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that wait for His mercy.
12Jérusalem, célèbre l’Éternel! Sion, loue ton Dieu!
12Glorify the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
13Car il affermit les barres de tes portes, Il bénit tes fils au milieu de toi;
13For He hath made strong the bars of thy gates; He hath blessed thy children within thee.
14He maketh thy borders peace; He giveth thee in plenty the fat of wheat.
15He sendeth out His commandment upon earth; His word runneth very swiftly.
16Il donne la neige comme de la laine, Il répand la gelée blanche comme de la cendre;
16He giveth snow like wool; He scattereth the hoar-frost like ashes.
17He casteth forth His ice like crumbs; who can stand before His cold?
18He sendeth forth His word, and melteth them; He causeth His wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19Il révèle sa parole à Jacob, Ses lois et ses ordonnances à Israël;
19He declareth His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His ordinances unto Israel.
20He hath not dealt so with any nation; and as for His ordinances, they have not known them. Hallelujah.
