5The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, Thubal, Mosoch, Thiras.
5ヤペテの子らは、ゴメル、マゴグ、マダイ、ヤワン、トバル、メシェク、ティラス。
6And the sons of Gomer: Ascenez, and Riphath, and Thogorma.
6ゴメルの子らは、アシュケナズ、ディパテ、トガルマ。
7And the sons of Javan: Elisa and Tharsis, Cethim and Dodanim.
7ヤワンの子らは、エリシャ、タルシシュ、キティム、ロダニム。
8The sons of Cham: Chus, and Mesrai, and Phut, and Chaanan.
8ハムの子らは、クシュ、ミツライム、プテ、カナン。
9And the sons of Chus: Saba, and Hevila, Sabatha, and Regma, and Sabathaca. And the sons of Regma: Saba, and Dadan.
9クシュの子らは、セバ、ハビラ、サブタ、ラアマ、サブテカ。ラアマの子らは、シェバとデダン。
10Now Chus begot Nemrod: he began to be mighty upon earth.
10クシュはニムロドをもうけた。ニムロドは地上で勇士となり始めた。
11But Mesraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Laabim, and Nephtuim,
11ミツライムは、ルディム、アナミム、レハビム、ナフトヒム、
12Phetrusim also, and Casluim: from whom came the Philistines, and Caphtorim.
12パトルシム、カスルヒム（ペリシテ人はここから出た）、カフトリムの父となった。
13And Chanaan beget Sidon his firstborn, and the Hethite,
13カナンは、その長子シドン、ヘテ、
14And the Jebusite, and the Amorrhite, and the Gergesite,

15And the Hevite, and the Aracite, and the Sinite,
15ヒビ人、アルキ人、シニ人、
16And the Aradian, and the Samarite, and the Hamathite.
16アルワド人、ツェマリ人、ハマテ人の父となった。
17The sons of Sem: Elam and Asur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Hus, and Hul, and Gether, and Mosoch.
17セムの子らは、エラム、アシュル、アルパクシャド、ルド、アラム、ウツ、フル、ゲテル、メシェク。
18And Arphaxad beget Sale, and Sale beget Heber.
18アルパクシャドはシェラの父となり、シェラはエベルの父となった。
19And to Heber were born two sons, the name of the one was Phaleg, because In his days the earth was divided; and the name of his brother was Jectan.
19エベルには二人の息子が生まれた。一人の名はペレグであった。彼の時代に地が分けられたからである。その兄弟の名はヨクタンであった。
20And Jectan beget Elmodad, and Saleph, and Asarmoth, and Jare,

21And Adoram, and Usal, and Decla,
21ハドラム、ウザル、ディクラ、
22And Hebal, and Abimael, and Saba,
22エバル、アビマエル、シェバ、
23And Ophir, and Hevila, and Jobab. All these are the sons of Jectan.
23オフィル、ハビラ、ヨバブの父となった。これらは皆ヨクタンの子らである。
24Sem, Arphaxad, Sale,
24セム、アルパクシャド、シェラ、
25Heber, Phaleg, Ragau,
25エベル、ペレグ、レウ、
26Serug, Nachor, Thare,
26セルグ、ナホル、テラ、
27Abram, this is Abraham.
27アブラム（別名アブラハム）。
28And the sons of Abraham, Isaac and Ismahel.
28アブラハムの子らは、イサクとイシュマエル。
29And these are the generations of them. The firstborn of Ismahel, Nabajoth, then Cedar, and Adbeel, and Mabsam,
29彼らの系図は次のとおりである。イシュマエルの長子ネバヨト、次にケダル、アドベエル、ミブサム、
30And Masma, and Duma, Massa, Hadad, and Thema,

31Jetur, Naphis, Cedma: these are the sons of Ismahel.
31エツル、ナフィシュ、ケデマ。以上がイシュマエルの子らである。
32And the sons of Cetura, Abraham’s concubine, whom she bore: Zamran, Jecsan, Madan, Madian, Jesboc, and Sue. And the sons of Jecsan, Saba, and Dadan. And the sons of Dadan: Assurim, and Latussim, and Laomin.
32アブラハムのそばめケトラの子ら。彼女はジムラン、ヨクシャン、メダン、ミディアン、イシュバク、シュアを産んだ。ヨクシャンの子らは、シェバとデダン。
33And the sons of Madian: Epha, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaa. All these are the sons of Cetura.
33ミディアンの子らは、エパ、エフェル、エノク、アビダ、エルダア。これらは皆ケトラの子らである。
34And Abraham beget Isaac: and his sons were Esau and Israel.
34アブラハムはイサクをもうけた。イサクの子らは、エサウとイスラエル。
35The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Rahuel, Jehus, Ihelom, and Core.
35エサウの子らは、エリファズ、レウエル、エウシュ、ヤラム、コラ。
36The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, Omar, Sephi, Gathan, Cenez, and by Thamna, Amalec.
36エリファズの子らは、テマン、オマル、ツェフィ、ガタム、ケナズ、ティムナ、アマレク。
37The sons of Rahuel: Nahath, Zara, Samma, Meza.
37レウエルの子らは、ナハテ、ゼラ、シャマ、ミザ。
38The sons of Seir: Lotan. Sobal, Sebeen, Ana, Dison, Eser, Disan.
38セイルの子らは、ロタン、ショバル、ツィベオン、アナ、ディション、エツェル、ディシャン。
39The sons of Lotan: Hori, Homam. And the sister of Lotan was Thamna.
39ロタンの子らは、ホリとホマム。ティムナはロタンの妹であった。
40The sons of Sobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Sephi and Onam. The sons of Sebeon: Aia, and Ana. The son of Ana: Dison.
40ショバルの子らは、アルヤン、マナハテ、エバル、シェフィ、オナム。ツィベオンの子らは、アヤとアナ。
41The sons of Dison: Hamram, and Eseban, and Jethran, and Charan.
41アナの子はディション。ディションの子らは、ハムラン、エシュバン、イトラン、ケラン。
42The sons of Eser: Balaan, and Zavan, and Jacan. The sons of Disan: Hus and Aran.
42エツェルの子らは、ビルハン、ザアバン、ヤアカン。ディシャンの子らは、ウツとアラン。
43Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there was a king over the children of Israel: Bale the son of Beer: and the name of his city was Denaba.
43イスラエルの子らを治める王がまだだれもいなかったころ、エドムの地で治めていた王たちは次のとおりである。ベオルの子ベラ、その町の名はディンハバであった。
44And Bale died, and Jobab the son of Zare of Bosra, reigned in his stead.
44ベラが死ぬと、ボツラのゼラの子ヨバブが代わって王となった。
45And when Jobab also was dead, Husam of the land of the Themanites reigned in his stead.
45ヨバブが死ぬと、テマン人の地のフシャムが代わって王となった。
46And Husam also died, and Adad the son of Badad reigned in his stead, and he defeated the Madianites in the land of Moab: and the name of his city was Avith.
46フシャムが死ぬと、ベダドの子ハダドが代わって王となった。彼はモアブの野でミディアンを打ち破った。彼の町の名はアビテであった。
47And when Adad also was dead, Semla of Masreca reigned in his stead.
47ハダドが死ぬと、マスレカのサムラが代わって王となった。
48Semla also died, and Saul of Rohoboth, which is near the river, reigned in his stead.
48サムラが死ぬと、川のほとりのレホボトのシャウルが代わって王となった。
49And when Saul was dead, Balanan the son of Achobor reigned in his stead.
49シャウルが死ぬと、アクボルの子バアル・ハナンが代わって王となった。
50He also died, and Adad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Phau, and his wife was called Meetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezaab.
50バアル・ハナンが死ぬと、ハダドが代わって王となった。彼の町の名はパイであった。彼の妻の名はメヘタベルといい、マトレドの娘であってメ・ザハブの孫娘であった。
51And after the death of Adad, there began to be dukes in Edom instead of kings: duke Thamna, duke Alva, duke Jetheth,

52Duke Oolibama, duke Ela, duke Phinon,

54Duke Magdiel, duke Hiram. These are the dukes of Edom.
