1Now these are the generations of Esau — the same is Edom.
2以扫 娶 迦南 的女子为妻，就是 赫 人 以伦 的女儿 亚大 和 希未 人 祭便 的孙女、 亚拿 的女儿 阿何利巴玛 ，
2Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
3又娶了 以实玛利 的女儿、 尼拜约 的妹子 巴实抹 。
3and Basemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
4亚大 给 以扫 生了 以利法 ； 巴实抹 生了 流珥 ；
4And Adah bore to Esau Eliphaz; and Basemath bore Reuel;
5阿何利巴玛 生了 耶乌施 、 雅兰 、 可拉 。这都是 以扫 的儿子，是在 迦南 地生的。
5and Oholibamah bore Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau, that were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
6以扫 带着他的妻子、儿女，与家中一切的人口，并他的牛羊、牲畜，和一切货财，就是他在 迦南 地所得的，往别处去，离了他兄弟 雅各 。
6And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the souls of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his possessions, which he had gathered in the land of Canaan; and went into a land away from his brother Jacob.
7因为二人的财物群畜甚多，寄居的地方容不下他们，所以不能同居。
7For their substance was too great for them to dwell together; and the land of their sojournings could not bear them because of their cattle.
8于是 以扫 住在 西珥山 里； 以扫 就是 以东 。
8And Esau dwelt in the mountain-land of Seir — Esau is Edom.
9以扫 是 西珥山 里 以东 人的始祖，他的后代记在下面。
9And these are the generations of Esau the father of a the Edomites in the mountain-land of Seir.
10以扫 众子的名字如下。 以扫 的妻子 亚大 生 以利法 ； 以扫 的妻子 巴实抹 生 流珥 。
10These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Basemath the wife of Esau.
11以利法 的儿子是 提幔 、 阿抹 、 洗玻 、 迦坦 、 基纳斯 。
11And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12亭纳 是 以扫 儿子 以利法 的妾；她给 以利法 生了 亚玛力 。这是 以扫 的妻子 亚大 的子孙。
12And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek. These are the sons of Adah Esau's wife.
13流珥 的儿子是 拿哈 、 谢拉 、 沙玛 、 米撒 。这是 以扫 妻子 巴实抹 的子孙。
13And these are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. These were the sons of Basemath Esau's wife.
14以扫 的妻子 阿何利巴玛 是 祭便 的孙女， 亚拿 的女儿；她给 以扫 生了 耶乌施 、 雅兰 、 可拉 。
14And these were the sons of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife; and she bore to Esau Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
15以扫 子孙中作族长的记在下面。 以扫 的长子 以利法 的子孙中，有 提幔 族长、 阿抹 族长、 洗玻 族长、 基纳斯 族长、
15These are the chiefs of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the first-born of Esau: the chief of Teman, the chief of Omar, the chief of Zepho, the chief of Kenaz,
16可拉 族长、 迦坦 族长、 亚玛力 族长。这是在 以东 地从 以利法 所出的族长，都是 亚大 的子孙。
16the chief of Korah, the chief of Gatam, the chief of Amalek. These are the chiefs that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Adah.
17以扫 的儿子 流珥 的子孙中，有 拿哈 族长、 谢拉 族长、 沙玛 族长、 米撒 族长。这是在 以东 地从 流珥 所出的族长，都是 以扫 妻子 巴实抹 的子孙。
17And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son: the chief of Nahath, the chief of Zerah, the chief of Shammah, the chief of Mizzah. These are the chiefs that came of Reuel in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Basemath Esau's wife.
18以扫 的妻子 阿何利巴玛 的子孙中，有 耶乌施 族长、 雅兰 族长、 可拉 族长。这是从 以扫 妻子， 亚拿 的女儿， 阿何利巴玛 子孙中所出的族长。
18And these are the sons of Oholibamah Esau's wife: the chief of Jeush, the chief of Jalam, the chief of Korah. These are the chiefs that came of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
19以上的族长都是 以扫 的子孙； 以扫 就是 以东 。
19These are the sons of Esau, and these are their chiefs; the same is Edom.
20那地原有的居民— 何利 人 西珥 的子孙记在下面：就是 罗坍 、 朔巴 、 祭便 、 亚拿 、
20These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah,
21底顺 、 以察 、 底珊 。这是从 以东 地的 何利 人 西珥 子孙中所出的族长。
21and Dishon and Ezer and Dishan. These are the chiefs that came of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.

22And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.
23朔巴 的儿子是 亚勒文 、 玛拿辖 、 以巴录 、 示玻 、 阿南 。
23And these are the children of Shobal: Alvan and Manahath and Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
24祭便 的儿子是 亚雅 、 亚拿 （当时在旷野放他父亲 祭便 的驴，遇着温泉的，就是这 亚拿 ）。
24And these are the children of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah — this is Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.

25And these are the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah.

31And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
32比珥 的儿子 比拉 在 以东 作王，他的 京 城名叫 亭哈巴 。
32And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

33And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

36And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

37And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his stead.

40从 以扫 所出的族长，按着他们的宗族、住处、名字记在下面：就是 亭纳 族长、 亚勒瓦 族长、 耶帖 族长、
40And these are the names of the chiefs that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names: the chief of Timna, the chief of Alvah, the chief of Jetheth;
41阿何利巴玛 族长、 以拉 族长、 比嫩 族长、
41the chief of Oholibamah, the chief of Elah, the chief of Pinon;
42基纳斯 族长、 提幔 族长、 米比萨 族长、
42the chief of Kenaz, the chief of Teman, the chief of Mibzar;
43玛基叠 族长、 以兰 族长。这是 以东 人在所得为业的地上，按着他们的住处。（所有的族长都是 以东 人的始祖 以扫 的后代。）
43the chief of Magdiel, the chief of Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is Esau the father of the Edomites.
