1Edom tiah kawk ih Esau ih caanawk kawng loe hae tiah oh.
1Now these are the generations of Esau — the same is Edom.
2Esau loe Kanaan tanuhnawk to zu ah lak moe, Hit acaeng Elon canu Adah, Hiv acaeng Zibeon ih canu patoeng, Anah ih canu Aholibamah doeh zu ah lak;
2Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
3Ishmael canu, Nebajoth ih tanuh, Bashemath doeh zu ah a lak bae vop.
3and Basemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebaioth.
4Adah mah Esau hanah Eliphaz to sak pae moe, Bashemath mah Reuel to sak pae;
4And Adah bore to Esau Eliphaz; and Basemath bore Reuel;
5Aholibamah mah Jeush, Jaalam hoi Korah to sak; hae kaminawk loe Kanaan prae ah sak ih, Esau ih capa ah oh o.
5and Oholibamah bore Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau, that were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
6Esau loe a zunawk, a capanawk hoi a canunawk, a imthung ah kaom kaminawk boih, angmah ih maitawnawk boih, moinawk boih hoi Kanaan prae ah hnuk ih hmuennawk to sinh boih moe, amnawk Jakob hoi angthla kuehaih ahmuen ah angpuen.
6And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the souls of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his possessions, which he had gathered in the land of Canaan; and went into a land away from his brother Jacob.
7A tawnh ih hmuennawk loe pop hmoek boeh pongah, ahmuen maeto ah nawnto oh hmaek han angcoeng ai boeh; nihnik ohhaih ahmuen loe a tawnh hoi ih moinawk pacah han khawt ai boeh.
7For their substance was too great for them to dwell together; and the land of their sojournings could not bear them because of their cattle.
8To pongah Edom tiah kawk ih Esau loe Seir mae ah khosak.
8And Esau dwelt in the mountain-land of Seir — Esau is Edom.
9Seir mae ah kaom Edom kaminawk ih ampa ah kaom, Esau ih caanawk loe hae tiah oh;
9And these are the generations of Esau the father of a the Edomites in the mountain-land of Seir.
10Esau caanawk ih ahmin loe, Eliphaz, anih loe Esau ih zu Adah capa ah oh moe, Reuel loe Esau ih zu Bashemath ih capa ah oh.
10These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Basemath the wife of Esau.
11Eliphaz ih caanawk loe, Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam hoi Kenaz.
11And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12Esau capa Eliphaz mah Timna to zula ah lak let, anih mah Amalek to sak pae; hae kaminawk loe Esau ih zu Adah mah sak ih caa ah oh o.
12And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek. These are the sons of Adah Esau's wife.
13Reuel ih caanawk loe Nahath, Zerah, Shammah hoi Mizzah; hae kaminawk loe Esau zu Bashemath ih caa ah oh o.
13And these are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. These were the sons of Basemath Esau's wife.
14Zibeon ih canu Anah, Anah ih canu hoi Esau ih zu, Aholibamah mah Esau han sak pae ih caanawk loe Jeush, Jaalam hoi Korah.
14And these were the sons of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife; and she bore to Esau Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
15Esau ih caanawk thungah angraeng acaeng ah kaom kaminawk loe, Esau ih calu Eliphaz ih caanawk thung hoiah Teman, Omar, Zepho hoi Kenaz,
15These are the chiefs of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the first-born of Esau: the chief of Teman, the chief of Omar, the chief of Zepho, the chief of Kenaz,
16Korah, Gatam hoi Amalek; hae kaminawk loe Edom prae thungah Eliphaz mah sak ih caa ah oh o moe, Adah ih caa patoeng ah oh o.
16the chief of Korah, the chief of Gatam, the chief of Amalek. These are the chiefs that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Adah.
17Esau capa Reuel ih caanawk loe Nahath, Zerah, Shammah hoi Mizzah; hae kaminawk loe Edom prae thungah Reuel mah sak ih caa ah oh o moe, Esau ih zu Bashemath ih caa ah oh o.
17And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son: the chief of Nahath, the chief of Zerah, the chief of Shammah, the chief of Mizzah. These are the chiefs that came of Reuel in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Basemath Esau's wife.
18Esau zu Aholibamah ih capanawk loe Jeush, Jaalam hoi Korah; hae kaminawk loe Anah canu, Esau zu Aholibamah ih caa ah oh o.
18And these are the sons of Oholibamah Esau's wife: the chief of Jeush, the chief of Jalam, the chief of Korah. These are the chiefs that came of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
19Hae kaminawk loe Edom, tiah kawk ih Esau ih caa ah oh o moe, angmacae zaehoikung lu koek ah ah oh o.
19These are the sons of Esau, and these are their chiefs; the same is Edom.
20Hae kaminawk loe Hor acaeng Seir ih caa ah oh o; to prae thung ah kaom kaminawk loe Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
20These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah,
21Dishon, Ezer hoi Dishan; hae kaminawk loe Edom prae thungah kaom, Hor caphung thungah, angraeng acaeng ah kaom Seir ih capa ah oh o.
21and Dishon and Ezer and Dishan. These are the chiefs that came of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
22Lotan capanawk loe, Hori hoi Hemam; Timna loe Lotan ih tanuh ah oh.
22And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.
23Shobal capanawk loe Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho hoi Onam.
23And these are the children of Shobal: Alvan and Manahath and Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
24Zibeon ih caanawk loe Ajah hoi Anah; hae Anah loe praezaek ah ampa Zibeon ih laa hrangnawk to toep pae naah, kabae tuipuek hnukung ah oh.
24And these are the children of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah — this is Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
25Anah ih caanawk loe Dishon hoi Aholibamah.
25And these are the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah.
26Dishon ih caanawk loe Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran hoi Keran.
26And these are the children of Dishon: Hemdan and Eshban and Ithran and Cheran.
27Ezer ih caanawk loe Bilhan, Zaavan hoi Akan.
27These are the children of Ezer: Bilhan and Zaavan and Akan.
28Dishan ih caanawk loe Uz hoi Aran.
28These are the children of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
29Hor acaeng thung ih zaehoikung lu koek loe Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah,
29These are the chiefs that came of the Horites: the chief of Lotan, the chief of Shobal, the chief of Zibeon, the chief of Anah,
30Dishon, Ezer hoi Dishan; hae kaminawk loe ukkung angraeng, Hor ih acaeng ah oh o moe, Seir prae thungah ukkung angraeng ah oh o.
30the chief of Dishon, the chief of Ezer, the chief of Dishan. These are the chiefs that came of the Horites, according to their chiefs in the land of Seir.
31Hae kaminawk loe Israel ukkung siangpahrang om ai naah, Edom prae thungah siangpahrang ah oh o.
31And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
32Beor capa Bela loe Edom siangpahrang ah oh; anih ih vangpui ahmin loe Dinhabah.
32And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
33Bela duek pacoengah, anih zuengah Bozrah ah kaom, Zerah capa Jobab to siangpahrang ah oh.
33And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
34Jobab duek pacoengah, anih zuengah Temani prae ih Husham to siangpahrang ah oh.
34And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
35Husham duek pacoengah, anih zuengah Moab prae thungah Midian kaminawk pazawkkung, Bedad capa Hadad to siangpahrang ah oh; anih ih vangpui ahmin loe Avith.
35And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Avith.
36Hadad duek pacoengah, anih zuengah Masrekah ih Samlah to siangpahrang ah oh.
36And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
37Samlah duek pacoengah, anih zuengah vapui taengah kaom, Rehoboth ih Shaul to siangpahrang ah oh.
37And Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the River reigned in his stead.
38Shaul duek pacoengah, anih zuengah Akhor capa Baalhanan to siangpahrang ah oh.
38And Shaul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
39Akhor capa Baalhanan duek pacoengah, anih zuengah Hadar to siangpahrang ah oh; anih ih vangpui ahmin loe Pau; anih ih zu hmin loe Mehezahab canu Matred, Matred ih canu Mehetabel.
39And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead; and the name of the city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
40Esau hoi anghum tathuk angraeng acaengnawk loe, angmacae imthung takoh, angmacae ohhaih ahmuen baktiah paek ih ahminawk loe Timnah, Alvah, Jetheth,
40And these are the names of the chiefs that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names: the chief of Timna, the chief of Alvah, the chief of Jetheth;
41Aholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
41the chief of Oholibamah, the chief of Elah, the chief of Pinon;
42Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
42the chief of Kenaz, the chief of Teman, the chief of Mibzar;
43Magdiel hoi Iram cae hae ni; hae kaminawk loe angmacae ohhaih ahmuen baktih toengah Edom ukkung angraeng acaeng ah oh o; Esau loe Edom kaminawk ih ampa ah oh.
43the chief of Magdiel, the chief of Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is Esau the father of the Edomites.
