1当 犹大 王 乌西雅 ， 以色列 王 约阿施 的儿子 耶罗波安 在位的时候，大地震前二年， 提哥亚 牧人中的 阿摩司 得默示论 以色列 。
1THE WORDS of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
2他说：耶和华必从 锡安 吼叫， 从 耶路撒冷 发声； 牧人的草场要悲哀； 迦密 的山顶要枯干。
2And he said: The LORD roareth from Zion, and uttereth His voice from Jerusalem; and the pastures of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.
3耶和华如此说： 大马士革 三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去她的刑罚； 因为她以打粮食的铁器打过 基列 。
3For thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Damascus, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they have threshed Gilead with sledges of iron.
4我却要降火在 哈薛 的家中， 烧灭 便·哈达 的宫殿。
4So will I send a fire into the house of Hazael, and it shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad;
5我必折断 大马士革 的门闩， 剪除 亚文 平原的居民和 伯·伊甸 掌权的。 亚兰 人必被掳到 吉珥 。 这是耶和华说的。
5And I will break the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from Bikath-Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Beth-eden; and the people of Aram shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.
6耶和华如此说： 迦萨 三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去她的刑罚； 因为她掳掠众民交给 以东 。
6Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Gaza, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they carried away captive a whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom.
7我却要降火在 迦萨 的城内， 烧灭其中的宫殿。
7So will I send a fire on the wall of Gaza, and it shall devour the palaces thereof;
8我必剪除 亚实突 的居民和 亚实基伦 掌权的， 也必反手攻击 以革伦 。 非利士 人所余剩的必都灭亡。 这是主耶和华说的。
8And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon; and I will turn My hand against Ekron, and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.
9耶和华如此说： 泰尔 三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去她的刑罚； 因为她将众民交给 以东 ， 并不记念弟兄的盟约。
9Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Tyre, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they delivered up a whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant.
10我却要降火在 泰尔 的城内， 烧灭其中的宫殿。
10So will I send a fire on the wall of Tyre, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
11耶和华如此说： 以东 三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去她的刑罚； 因为她拿刀追赶兄弟，毫无怜悯， 发怒撕裂，永怀忿怒。
11Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of Edom, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever.
12我却要降火在 提幔 ， 烧灭 波斯拉 的宫殿。
12So will I send a fire upon Teman, and it shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
13耶和华如此说： 亚扪 人三番四次地犯罪， 我必不免去他们的刑罚； 因为他们剖开 基列 的孕妇， 扩张自己的境界。
13Thus saith the LORD: For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, yea, for four, I will not reverse it: because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border.
14我却要在争战呐喊的日子， 旋风狂暴的时候， 点火在 拉巴 的城内， 烧灭其中的宫殿。
14So will I kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind;
15他们的王和首领必一同被掳去。 这是耶和华说的。
15And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.
