1เมื่อวันสะบาโตผ่านพ้นไป มารีย์ชาวมักดาลา มารีย์มารดาของยากอบ และสาโลเมซื้อเครื่องหอม เพื่อจะมาชโลมพระองค์
1And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
2เช้าตรู่มากในวันแรกของสัปดาห์ พวกนางมาถึงอุโมงค์ฝังศพเมื่อดวงอาทิตย์ขึ้นแล้ว
2And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
3พวกนางพูดกันว่า “ใครจะช่วยกลิ้งก้อนหินออกจากปากอุโมงค์ฝังศพให้พวกเรา?”
3And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
4เพราะก้อนหินนั้นใหญ่มาก เมื่อเงยหน้าขึ้น พวกนางเห็นว่าก้อนหินถูกกลิ้งออกไปแล้ว
4And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
5เมื่อเข้าไปในอุโมงค์ฝังศพ พวกนางเห็นชายหนุ่มคนหนึ่งนั่งอยู่ทางขวา สวมเสื้อคลุมสีขาว พวกนางก็ตกตะลึง
5And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
6เขากล่าวกับพวกนางว่า “อย่าตกตะลึง พวกคุณกำลังหาพระเยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธ ผู้ถูกตรึงบนกางเขน พระองค์ฟื้นขึ้นจากความตายแล้ว! พระองค์ไม่อยู่ที่นี่ ดูที่ซึ่งพวกเขาวางพระองค์ไว้
6And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
7แต่จงไปบอกสาวกของพระองค์และเปโตรว่า ‘พระองค์ไปยังกาลิลีก่อนพวกคุณ ที่นั่นพวกคุณจะเห็นพระองค์ ตามที่พระองค์บอกพวกคุณไว้’”
7But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
8พวกนางออกมา และหนีออกจากอุโมงค์ฝังศพ เพราะตัวสั่นและตกตะลึง พวกนางไม่บอกอะไรแก่ใคร เพราะกลัว
8And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man ; for they were afraid.
9เมื่อพระองค์ฟื้นขึ้นจากความตายในเวลาเช้าตรู่ของวันแรกของสัปดาห์ พระองค์ปรากฏแก่มารีย์ชาวมักดาลาก่อน ซึ่งพระองค์เคยขับปีศาจเจ็ดตนออกจากนาง
9¶ Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
10นางไปบอกคนที่เคยอยู่กับพระองค์ ขณะที่พวกเขากำลังโศกเศร้าและร้องไห้
10And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
11เมื่อพวกเขาได้ยินว่าพระองค์มีชีวิตอยู่ และนางได้เห็นพระองค์ พวกเขาก็ไม่เชื่อ
11And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
12หลังจากนั้น พระองค์ปรากฏในอีกรูปลักษณ์หนึ่งแก่พวกเขาสองคน ขณะที่กำลังเดินทางไปชนบท
12¶ After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
13สองคนนั้นกลับไปบอกคนอื่น ๆ แต่พวกเขาก็ยังไม่เชื่อสองคนนั้น
13And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.
14ต่อมา พระองค์ปรากฏแก่สิบเอ็ดคนขณะที่พวกเขานั่งรับประทานอาหาร และตำหนิพวกเขาเรื่องความไม่เชื่อและใจแข็งกระด้าง เพราะพวกเขาไม่เชื่อคนที่ได้เห็นพระองค์หลังจากพระองค์ฟื้นขึ้นจากความตาย
14¶ Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15พระองค์กล่าวกับพวกเขาว่า “จงออกไปทั่วโลก และประกาศข่าวดีแก่สิ่งสร้างทั้งหมด
15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16ผู้ที่เชื่อและรับบัพติศมาจะรอด แต่ผู้ที่ไม่เชื่อจะถูกตัดสินโทษ
16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17หมายสำคัญเหล่านี้จะติดตามผู้ที่เชื่อ คือในนามของเรา พวกเขาจะขับปีศาจ จะพูดภาษาใหม่ ๆ
17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18จะจับงู และถ้าดื่มสิ่งใดที่มีพิษถึงตาย สิ่งนั้นจะไม่ทำอันตรายพวกเขาเลย พวกเขาจะวางมือบนคนป่วย แล้วคนป่วยจะหายดี”
18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19หลังจากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า กล่าวกับพวกเขาแล้ว พระองค์ถูกรับขึ้นสู่สวรรค์ และนั่งทางขวาของพระเจ้า
19¶ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20พวกเขาออกไปประกาศทั่วทุกแห่ง องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทำงานร่วมกับพวกเขา และยืนยันพระวจนะด้วยหมายสำคัญที่ติดตามมา อาเมน
20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them , and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
