1Тада пође Израиљ са свим шта имаше, и дошав у Вирсавеју принесе жртву Богу оца свог Исака.
1And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2И Бог рече Израиљу ноћу у утвари: Јакове! Јакове! А он одговори: Ево ме.
2And God spoke unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said: 'Jacob, Jacob.' And he said: 'Here am I.'
3И Бог му рече: Ја сам Бог, Бог оца твог; не бој се отићи у Мисир; јер ћу онде начинити од тебе народ велик.
3And He said: 'I am God, the God of thy father; fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation.
4Ја ћу ићи с тобом у Мисир, и ја ћу те одвести онамо, и Јосиф ће метнути руку своју на очи твоје.
4I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again; and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.'
5И пође Јаков од Вирсавеје; и синови Израиљеви посадише Јакова, оца свог и децу своју и жене своје на кола која посла Фараон по њ.
5And Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba; and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6И узеше стоку своју и благо своје што беху стекли у земљи хананској; и дођоше у Мисир Јаков и сва породица његова.
6And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him;
7Синове своје и синове синова својих, кћери своје и кћери синова својих, и сву породицу своју доведе са собом у Мисир.
7his sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.

8And these are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's first-born.

10And the sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.
11Синови Левијеви: Гирсон, Кат и Мерарије.
11And the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12Синови Јудини: Ир, Авнан, Силом, Фарес и Зара; а умрли беху Ир и Авнан у земљи хананској, али беху синови Фаресови Есром и Јемуило.
12And the sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.
13Синови Исахарови: Тола, Фува, Јов, и Симрон.
13And the sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puvah, and Iob, and Shimron.
14Синови Завулонови: Серед, Алон, и Ахојило.
14And the sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
15То су синови Лијини, које роди Јакову у Падан-Араму, и јоште Дина кћи његова. Свега душа, синова његових и кћери његових беше тридесет и три.
15These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore unto Jacob in Paddan-aram, with his daughter Dinah; all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
16Синови Гадови: Сифон, Агије, Суније, Есвон, Ирије, Ародије и Арилије.
16And the sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17Синови Асирови: Јемна, Јесва, Јесвија и Верија, и сестра њихова Сара. А синови Веријини Ховор и Мелхило.
17And the sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and Serah their sister; and the sons of Beriah: Heber, and Malchiel.
18То су синови Зелфе, коју даде Лаван Лији кћери својој, и она их роди Јакову, шеснаест душа.
18These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bore unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.
19А синови Рахиље жене Јаковљеве: Јосиф и Венијамин.
19The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
20А Јосифу се родише у Мисиру од Асенете, кћери Потифере свештеника онског: Манасија и Јефрем.
20And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath the daughter of Poti-phera priest of On bore unto him.
21А синови Венијаминови: Вела, Вехер, Асвил, Гира, Наман, Ихије, Рос, Мупим, Упим и Арад.
21And the sons of Benjamin: Bela, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
22То су синови Рахиљини што се родише Јакову, свега четрнаест душа.
22These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the souls were fourteen.
23И син Данов: Асом.
23And the sons of Dan: Hushim.
24А синови Нефталимови: Асило, Гуније, Јесер и Силим.
24And the sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
25То су синови Вале, коју даде Лаван Рахиљи кћери својој и она их роди Јакову; свега седам душа.
25These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and these she bore unto Jacob; all the souls were seven.
26А свега душа што дођоше с Јаковом у Мисир, а изађоше од бедара његових, осим жена синова Јаковљевих, свега душа беше шездесет и шест.
26All the souls belonging to Jacob that came into Egypt, that came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six.
27И два сина Јосифова који му се родише у Мисиру; свега дакле душа дома Јаковљевог, што дођоше у Мисир, беше седамдесет.
27And the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls; all the souls of the house of Jacob, that came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.
28А Јуду посла Јаков напред к Јосифу, да му јави да изађе преда њ у Гесем. И дођоше у земљу гесемску.
28And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to show the way before him unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29А Јосиф упреже у кола своја, и изађе на сусрет Израиљу оцу свом у Гесем; и кад га виде Јаков, паде му око врата, и плака дуго о врату његовом.
29And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen; and he presented himself unto him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30И рече Израиљ Јосифу: Сада не марим умрети кад сам те видео да си јоште жив.
30And Israel said unto Joseph: 'Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, that thou art yet alive.'
31А Јосиф рече браћи својој и дому оца свог: Идем да јавим Фараону; али ћу му казати: Браћа моја и дом оца мог из земље хананске дођоше к мени;
31And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house: 'I will go up, and tell Pharaoh, and will say unto him: My brethren, and my father's house, who were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32а ти су људи пастири и свагда су се бавили око стоке, и доведоше овце своје и говеда своја и шта год имају.
32and the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
33А кад вас Фараон дозове, рећи ће вам: Какву радњу радите?
33And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say: What is your occupation?
34А ви кажите: Пастири су биле слуге твоје од младости, и ми и стари наши; да бисте остали у земљи гесемској; јер су Мисирцима сви пастири нечисти.
34that ye shall say: Thy servants have been keepers of cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers; that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.'
