1以色列 帶着一切所有的，起身來到 別是巴 ，就獻祭給他父親 以撒 的上帝。
1And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2夜間，上帝在異象中對 以色列 說：「 雅各 ！ 雅各 ！」他說：「我在這裏。」
2And God spoke unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said: 'Jacob, Jacob.' And he said: 'Here am I.'
3上帝說：「我是上帝，就是你父親的上帝。你下 埃及 去不要害怕，因為我必使你在那裏成為大族。
3And He said: 'I am God, the God of thy father; fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation.
4我要和你同下 埃及 去，也必定帶你上來； 約瑟 必給你送終。」
4I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again; and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.'
5雅各 就從 別是巴 起行。 以色列 的兒子們使他們的父親 雅各 和他們的妻子、兒女都坐在法老為 雅各 送來的車上。
5And Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba; and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6他們又帶着 迦南 地所得的牲畜、貨財來到 埃及 。 雅各 和他的一切子孫都一同來了。
6And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him;
7雅各 把他的兒子、孫子、女兒、孫女，並他的子子孫孫，一同帶到 埃及 。
7his sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.
8來到 埃及 的 以色列 人名字記在下面。 雅各 和他的兒孫： 雅各 的長子是 呂便 。
8And these are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's first-born.
9呂便 的兒子是 哈諾 、 法路 、 希斯倫 、 迦米 。
9And the sons of Reuben: Hanoch, and Pallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
10西緬 的兒子是 耶母利 、 雅憫 、 阿轄 、 雅斤 、 瑣轄 ，還有 迦南 女子所生的 掃羅 。
10And the sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.

11And the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

12And the sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

13And the sons of Issachar: Tola, and Puvah, and Iob, and Shimron.
14西布倫 的兒子是 西烈 、 以倫 、 雅利 。
14And the sons of Zebulun: Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
15這是 利亞 在 巴旦‧亞蘭 給 雅各 所生的兒子，還有女兒 底拿 。兒孫共有三十三人。
15These are the sons of Leah, whom she bore unto Jacob in Paddan-aram, with his daughter Dinah; all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
16迦得 的兒子是 洗非芸 、 哈基 、 書尼 、 以斯本 、 以利 、 亞羅底 、 亞列利 。
16And the sons of Gad: Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17亞設 的兒子是 音拿 、 亦施瓦 、 亦施韋 、 比利亞 ，還有他們的妹子 西拉 。 比利亞 的兒子是 希別 、 瑪結 。
17And the sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and Serah their sister; and the sons of Beriah: Heber, and Malchiel.
18這是 拉班 給他女兒 利亞 的婢女 悉帕 從 雅各 所生的兒孫，共有十六人。
18These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bore unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.
19雅各 之妻 拉結 的兒子是 約瑟 和 便雅憫 。
19The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife: Joseph and Benjamin.
20約瑟 在 埃及 地生了 瑪拿西 和 以法蓮 ，就是 安 城的祭司 波提非拉 的女兒 亞西納 給 約瑟 生的。
20And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Asenath the daughter of Poti-phera priest of On bore unto him.
21便雅憫 的兒子是 比拉 、 比結 、 亞實別 、 基拉 、 乃幔 、 以希 、 羅實 、 母平 、 戶平 、 亞勒 。
21And the sons of Benjamin: Bela, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
22這是 拉結 給 雅各 所生的兒孫，共有十四人。
22These are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob; all the souls were fourteen.
23但 的兒子是 戶伸 。
23And the sons of Dan: Hushim.
24拿弗他利 的兒子是 雅薛 、 沽尼 、 耶色 、 示冷 。
24And the sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
25這是 拉班 給他女兒 拉結 的婢女 辟拉 從 雅各 所生的兒孫，共有七人。
25These are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and these she bore unto Jacob; all the souls were seven.
26那與 雅各 同到 埃及 的，除了他兒婦之外，凡從他所生的，共有六十六人。
26All the souls belonging to Jacob that came into Egypt, that came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six.
27還有 約瑟 在 埃及 所生的兩個兒子。 雅各 家來到 埃及 的共有七十人。
27And the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls; all the souls of the house of Jacob, that came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.
28雅各 打發 猶大 先去見 約瑟 ，請派人引路往 歌珊 去；於是他們來到 歌珊 地。
28And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to show the way before him unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29約瑟 套車往 歌珊 去，迎接他父親 以色列 ，及至見了面，就伏在父親的頸項上，哭了許久。
29And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen; and he presented himself unto him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30以色列 對 約瑟 說：「我既得見你的面，知道你還在，就是死我也甘心。」
30And Israel said unto Joseph: 'Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, that thou art yet alive.'
31約瑟 對他的弟兄和他父的全家說：「我要上去告訴法老，對他說：『我的弟兄和我父的全家從前在 迦南 地，現今都到我這裏來了。
31And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house: 'I will go up, and tell Pharaoh, and will say unto him: My brethren, and my father's house, who were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32他們本是牧羊的人，以養牲畜為業；他們把羊群牛群和一切所有的都帶來了。』
32and the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
33等法老召你們的時候，問你們說：『你們以何事為業？』
33And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say: What is your occupation?
34你們要說：『你的僕人，從幼年直到如今，都以養牲畜為業，連我們的祖宗也都以此為業。』這樣，你們可以住在 歌珊 地，因為凡牧羊的都被 埃及 人所厭惡。」
34that ye shall say: Thy servants have been keepers of cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers; that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.'
