1And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor heard thereof, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,
1เมื่อยาบินกษัตริย์แห่งฮาโซร์ได้ยินเรื่องนี้ เขาส่งข่าวไปหาโยบับกษัตริย์แห่งมาโดน กษัตริย์แห่งชิมโรน และกษัตริย์แห่งอัคชาฟ
2and to the kings that were on the north, in the hill-country and in the Arabah south of Chinneroth, and in the Lowland, and in the regions of Dor on the west,
2รวมทั้งกษัตริย์ทางเหนือซึ่งอยู่ในเขตภูเขา ในอาราบาห์ทางใต้ของคินเนเรท ในที่ราบต่ำ และในที่สูงแห่งโดร์ทางตะวันตก
3to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the hill-country, and the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpah.
3เขายังส่งข่าวไปหาชาวคานาอันทางตะวันออกและตะวันตก ชาวอาโมไรต์ ชาวฮิตไทต์ ชาวเปริสซี ชาวเยบุสในเขตภูเขา และชาวฮีไวต์ใต้ภูเขาเฮอร์โมนในดินแดนมิสปาห์
4And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea-shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
4พวกเขาออกมาพร้อมกับกองทัพทั้งหมด เป็นผู้คนมากมายดุจเม็ดทรายริมทะเล ทั้งมีม้าและรถศึกจำนวนมาก
5And all these kings met together, and they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight with Israel.
5กษัตริย์เหล่านี้ทั้งหมดมาพบกันและร่วมกันตั้งค่ายที่แหล่งน้ำเมโรม เพื่อต่อสู้กับอิสราเอล
6And the LORD said unto Joshua: 'Be not afraid because of them; for to-morrow at this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel; thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.'
6พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโยชูวาว่า “อย่ากลัวพวกเขา เพราะพรุ่งนี้เวลานี้ เราจะมอบพวกเขาทั้งหมดให้ล้มตายต่อหน้าอิสราเอล เจ้าจงตัดเอ็นขาหลังม้าของพวกเขา และเผารถศึกของพวกเขาด้วยไฟ”
7So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly, and fell upon them.
7โยชูวากับนักรบทั้งหมดเข้าโจมตีพวกเขาอย่างกะทันหันที่แหล่งน้ำเมโรม
8And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, and they smote them, and chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-maim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they smote them, until they left them none remaining.
8พระยาห์เวห์ทรงมอบพวกเขาให้อิสราเอล ชาวอิสราเอลโจมตีและไล่ตามพวกเขาไปจนถึงเมืองไซดอนใหญ่ มิสเรโฟทมาอิม และหุบเขามิสปาห์ทางตะวันออก พวกเขาโจมตีจนไม่เหลือใครรอด
9And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him; he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.
9โยชูวาทำกับพวกเขาตามที่พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสไว้ เขาตัดเอ็นขาหลังม้าของพวกเขา และเผารถศึกด้วยไฟ
10And Joshua turned back at that time, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.
10ในเวลานั้น โยชูวาย้อนกลับไปยึดฮาโซร์และใช้ดาบฟันกษัตริย์ เพราะฮาโซร์เคยเป็นเมืองเอกของอาณาจักรเหล่านั้นทั้งหมด
11And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them; there was none left that breathed; and he burnt Hazor with fire.
11พวกเขาใช้ดาบสังหารทุกชีวิตที่อยู่ในเมือง และทำลายล้างจนหมดสิ้น ไม่มีสิ่งใดที่หายใจเหลืออยู่ โยชูวาเผาฮาโซร์ด้วยไฟ
12And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and he smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them; as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded.
12โยชูวายึดเมืองทั้งหมดของกษัตริย์เหล่านั้นพร้อมกับตัวกษัตริย์ เขาใช้ดาบสังหารและทำลายล้างพวกเขาจนหมดสิ้น ตามที่โมเสสผู้รับใช้ของพระยาห์เวห์ได้บัญชาไว้
13But as for the cities that stood on their mounds, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only — that did Joshua burn.
13แต่เมืองต่าง ๆ ที่ตั้งอยู่บนเนินดินนั้น อิสราเอลไม่ได้เผาเลย ยกเว้นฮาโซร์เมืองเดียวซึ่งโยชูวาเผา
14And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any that breathed.
14ชาวอิสราเอลริบเอาทรัพย์สินทั้งหมดและฝูงสัตว์จากเมืองเหล่านี้ไว้เป็นของตน แต่พวกเขาใช้ดาบสังหารทุกคนจนทำลายหมด และไม่เหลือผู้ใดที่ยังหายใจอยู่
15As the LORD commanded Moses His servant, so did Moses command Joshua; and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD commanded Moses.
15พระยาห์เวห์ทรงบัญชาโมเสสผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์อย่างไร โมเสสก็บัญชาโยชูวาอย่างนั้น และโยชูวาก็ทำตาม เขาทำครบทุกอย่างที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงบัญชาโมเสสไว้ ไม่ละเว้นแม้แต่อย่างเดียว
16So Joshua took all that land, the hill-country, and all the South, and all the land of Goshen, and the Lowland, and the Arabah, and the hill-country of Israel, and the Lowland of the same;
16ดังนั้นโยชูวาจึงยึดแผ่นดินทั้งหมดนั้น ได้แก่เขตภูเขา ดินแดนทางใต้ทั้งหมด แคว้นโกเชนทั้งหมด ที่ราบต่ำ อาราบาห์ เขตภูเขาของอิสราเอล และที่ราบต่ำของดินแดนนั้น
17from the bare mountain, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon; and all their kings he took, and smote them, and put them to death.
17ตั้งแต่ภูเขาฮาลักซึ่งทอดขึ้นไปทางเสอีร์ จนถึงบาลกาดในหุบเขาเลบานอนใต้ภูเขาเฮอร์โมน เขาจับกษัตริย์ทั้งหมด โจมตี และประหารพวกเขา
18Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.
18โยชูวาทำสงครามกับกษัตริย์เหล่านั้นเป็นเวลานาน
19There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon; they took all in battle.
19ไม่มีเมืองใดทำข้อตกลงสันติภาพกับชาวอิสราเอล นอกจากชาวฮีไวต์ผู้อาศัยในกิเบโอน ชาวอิสราเอลยึดเมืองอื่นทั้งหมดด้วยการรบ
20For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, to come against Israel in battle, that they might be utterly destroyed, that they might have no favour, but that they might be destroyed, as the LORD commanded Moses.
20เพราะพระยาห์เวห์ทรงทำให้ใจของพวกเขาแข็งกระด้าง เพื่อให้ออกมาต่อสู้กับอิสราเอล พระองค์จึงทรงทำลายล้างพวกเขาจนหมดสิ้น พวกเขาไม่ได้รับความเมตตา แต่ถูกทำลายตามที่พระยาห์เวห์ทรงบัญชาโมเสส
21And Joshua came at that time, and cut off the Anakim from the hill-country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the hill-country of Judah, and from all the hill-country of Israel; Joshua utterly destroyed them with their cities.
21ในเวลานั้น โยชูวาไปกำจัดชาวอานาคออกจากเขตภูเขา จากเฮโบรน เดบีร์ อานาบ เขตภูเขาทั้งหมดของยูดาห์ และเขตภูเขาทั้งหมดของอิสราเอล โยชูวาทำลายล้างพวกเขาพร้อมกับเมืองต่าง ๆ จนหมดสิ้น
22There was none of the Anakim left in the land of the children of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, did some remain.
22ไม่มีชาวอานาคเหลืออยู่ในแผ่นดินของชาวอิสราเอล มีบางคนเหลืออยู่เฉพาะในกาซา กัท และอัชโดด
23So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD spoke unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land had rest from war.
23ดังนั้นโยชูวาจึงยึดแผ่นดินทั้งหมดตามทุกสิ่งที่พระยาห์เวห์ตรัสกับโมเสส แล้วโยชูวามอบแผ่นดินนั้นแก่อิสราเอลเป็นมรดก โดยแบ่งตามส่วนของแต่ละเผ่า จากนั้นแผ่นดินก็ได้พักสงบจากสงคราม
