1私は言った。 「ヤコブのかしらたちよ、 イスラエルの家の支配者たちよ、聞け。 あなたがたは公正を知るべきではないか。
1And I said: Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: is it not for you to know justice?
2あなたがたは善を憎み、 悪を愛している。 私の民の皮をはぎ、 骨から肉をそぎ取る。
2Who hate the good, and love the evil; who rob their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
3また私の民の肉を食べ、 その皮をはぎ取り、 骨を砕き、 鍋に入れる肉のように、 大釜に入れる肉のように切り刻む。
3Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones; yea, they chop them in pieces, as that which is in the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
4その時、彼らは主に叫び求めるが、 主は彼らにお答えにならない。 その時、主は御顔を彼らから隠される。 彼らがその行いを悪くしたからだ。」
4Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but He will not answer them; yea, He will hide His face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.
5主は、私の民を迷わせる預言者たちについてこう言われる。彼らは、歯の間に食べ物を入れてくれる者には「平安」と叫び、口に何も与えない者には戦いを布告する。
5Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people to err; that cry: 'Peace', when their teeth have any thing to bite; and whoso putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him:
6「それゆえ、あなたがたを幻のない夜が覆う。 占うことのできない闇が覆う。 太陽は預言者たちの上に沈み、 昼も彼らの上で暗くなる。
6Therefore it shall be night unto you, that ye shall have no vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.
7先見者たちは失望し、 占い師たちはうろたえる。 彼らは皆、口を覆う。 神 からの答えがないからだ。」
7And the seers shall be put to shame, and the diviners confounded; yea, they shall all cover their upper lips; for there shall be no answer of God.
8しかし私は、主の霊によって力を受け、 公正と揺るぎない強さに満たされている。 ヤコブにその背きを、 イスラエルにその罪を告げるためだ。
8But I truly am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of justice, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
9ヤコブの家のかしらたちよ、 イスラエルの家の支配者たちよ、これを聞け。 あなたがたは公正を忌み嫌い、 すべての正しいことを曲げている。
9Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, that abhor justice, and pervert all equity;
10血を流してシオンを築き、 不義によってエルサレムを建てる。
10That build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11その指導者たちは賄賂を取って裁き、 祭司たちは報酬を取って教え、 預言者たちは金を取って占う。 それでも彼らは主に寄り頼んで言う。 「主はわれわれのただ中におられるではないか。 災いがわれわれに臨むことはない。」
11The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money; yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say: 'Is not the LORD in the midst of us? No evil shall come upon us'?
12それゆえ、あなたがたのために、 シオンは畑のように耕され、 エルサレムは石の山となり、 神殿の山は森に覆われた高き所のようになる。
12Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
