1さて、聖徒たちのための献金については、私がガラテヤの諸教会に命じたとおり、あなたがたも行いなさい。
1Now concerning the collections that are made for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, so do ye also.
2毎週の初めの日に、あなたがた一人ひとりが、収入に応じて幾らかを取り分けて蓄えておきなさい。私が行った時に、改めて献金を集めなくてよいようにするためです。
2On the first day of the week let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him; that when I come, the collections be not then to be made.
3私が着いたら、あなたがたが承認した人々に手紙を持たせ、あなたがたの恵みの贈り物をエルサレムへ届けてもらいます。
3And when I shall be with you, whomsoever you shall approve by letters, them will I send to carry your grace to Jerusalem.
4私も行くのがふさわしければ、彼らは私と一緒に行きます。
4And if it be meet that I also go, they shall go with me.
5私はマケドニアを通ってから、あなたがたのもとへ行きます。マケドニアを通る予定だからです。
5Now I will come to you, when I shall have passed through Macedonia. For I shall pass through Macedonia.
6おそらく私は、あなたがたの所に滞在し、冬を過ごすことになるでしょう。それは、私がどこへ向かうにしても、あなたがたに旅立ちを助けてもらうためです。
6And with you perhaps I shall abide, or even spend the winter: that you may bring me on my way whithersoever I shall go.
7今回は、通りがかりにあなたがたに会うだけでは済ませたくありません。主が許してくださるなら、しばらくあなたがたと共に過ごしたいと願っています。
7For I will not see you now by the way, for I trust that I shall abide with you some time, if the Lord permit.
8しかし、五旬節まではエフェソに滞在します。
8But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.
9大きく実りある働きへの門が私のために開かれており、反対する者も多いからです。
9For a great door and evident is opened unto me: and many adversaries.
10テモテが着いたなら、あなたがたの間で何も恐れずに過ごせるようにしてください。彼も私と同じように、主の働きをしているからです。
10Now if Timothy come, see that he be with you without fear, for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.
11だれも彼を軽んじてはいけません。彼が私のもとへ来られるよう、平安のうちに送り出してください。私は、彼が兄弟たちと一緒に来るのを待っています。
11Let no man therefore despise him, but conduct ye him on his way in peace: that he may come to me. For I look for him with the brethren.
12兄弟アポロについては、兄弟たちと一緒にあなたがたのもとへ行くよう、私は強く勧めました。しかし、彼は今行くことをまったく望みませんでした。都合がつけば行くでしょう。
12And touching our brother Apollo, I give you to understand, that I much entreated him to come unto you with the brethren: and indeed it was not his will at all to come at this time. But he will come when he shall have leisure.
13目を覚ましていなさい。信仰に堅く立ちなさい。勇気をもって行動しなさい。強くありなさい。
13Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, do manfully, and be strengthened.
14何をするにも、すべて愛をもって行いなさい。
14Let all your things be done in charity.
15兄弟たち、あなたがたにお願いします。ステファナの家の者たちを知っているでしょう。彼らはアカイアの初穂であり、聖徒たちに仕えることに身をささげてきました。
15And I beseech you, brethren, you know the house of Stephanas, and of Fortunatus, and of Achaicus, that they are the firstfruits of Achaia, and have dedicated themselves to the ministry of the saints:
16あなたがたも、そのような人々と、共に働き労苦しているすべての人に従ってください。
16That you also be subject to such, and to every one that worketh with us, and laboureth.
17私は、ステファナ、フォルトナト、アカイコが来てくれたことを喜んでいます。あなたがたがここにいないために足りなかったものを、彼らが補ってくれたからです。
17And I rejoice in the presence of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because that which was wanting on your part, they have supplied.
18彼らは私の霊とあなたがたの霊を元気づけてくれました。このような人々を重んじてください。
18For they have refreshed both my spirit and yours. Know them, therefore, that are such.
19アジアの諸教会が、あなたがたによろしくと言っています。アクラとプリスキラ、また彼らの家に集まる教会も、主にあって心からあなたがたによろしくと言っています。
19The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house, with whom I also lodge.
20すべての兄弟たちが、あなたがたによろしくと言っています。聖なる口づけをもって、互いにあいさつを交わしなさい。
20All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.
21私パウロが、自分の手でこのあいさつを書きます。
21The salutation of me Paul, with my own hand.
22主イエス・キリストを愛さない者は、のろわれよ。主よ、来てください。
22If any man love not our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, maranatha.
23主イエス・キリストの恵みが、あなたがたと共にありますように。
23The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
24キリスト・イエスにあって、私の愛があなたがたすべてと共にあります。アーメン。
24My charity be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
