1Now the feast of the pasch, and of the Azymes was after two days; and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might by some wile lay hold on him, and kill him.
1過兩天是逾越 節 ，又是除酵節，祭司長和文士想法子怎麼用詭計捉拿耶穌，殺他。
2But they said: Not on the festival day, lest there should be a tumult among the people.
2只是說：「當節的日子不可，恐怕百姓生亂。」
3And when he was in Bethania, in the house of Simon the leper, and was at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of precious spikenard: and breaking the alabaster box, she poured it out upon his head.
3耶穌在 伯大尼 長大痲瘋的 西門 家裏坐席的時候，有一個女人拿着一玉瓶至貴的真哪噠香膏來，打破玉瓶，把膏澆在耶穌的頭上。
4Now there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said: Why was this waste of the ointment made?
4有幾個人心中很不喜悅，說：「何用這樣枉費香膏呢？
5For this ointment might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
5這香膏可以賣三十多兩銀子賙濟窮人。」他們就向那女人生氣。
6But Jesus said: Let her alone, why do you molest her? She hath wrought a good work upon me.
6耶穌說：「由她吧！為甚麼難為她呢？她在我身上做的是一件美事。
7For the poor you have always with you: and whensoever you will, you may do them good: but me you have not always.
7因為常有窮人和你們同在，要向他們行善隨時都可以；只是你們不常有我。
8She hath done what she could: she is come beforehand to anoint my body for burial.
8她所做的，是盡她所能的；她是為我安葬的事把香膏預先澆在我身上。
9Amen, I say to you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, that also which she hath done, shall be told for a memorial of her.
9我實在告訴你們，普天之下，無論在甚麼地方傳這福音，也要述說這女人所做的，以為記念。」
10And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests, to betray him to them.
10十二門徒之中，有一個 加略 人 猶大 去見祭司長，要把耶穌交給他們。
11Who hearing it were glad; and they promised him they would give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
11他們聽見就歡喜，又應許給他銀子；他就尋思如何得便把耶穌交給他們。
12Now on the first day of the unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the pasch, the disciples say to him: Whither wilt thou that we go, and prepare for thee to eat the pasch?
12除酵節的第一天，就是宰逾越 羊羔 的那一天，門徒對耶穌說：「你吃逾越 節的筵席 要我們往哪裏去預備呢？」
13And he sendeth two of his disciples, and saith to them: Go ye into the city; and there shall meet you a man carrying a pitcher of water, follow him;
13耶穌就打發兩個門徒，對他們說：「你們進城去，必有人拿着一瓶水迎面而來，你們就跟着他。
14And whithersoever he shall go in, say to the master of the house, The master saith, Where is my refectory, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples?
14他進哪家去，你們就對那家的主人說：『夫子說：客房在哪裏？我與門徒好在那裏吃逾越 節的筵席 。』
15And he will shew you a large dining room furnished; and there prepare ye for us.
15他必指給你們擺設整齊的一間大樓，你們就在那裏為我們預備。」
16And his disciples went their way, and came into the city; and they found as he had told them, and they prepared the pasch.
16門徒出去，進了城，所遇見的正如耶穌所說的。他們就預備了逾越 節的筵席 。
17And when evening was come, he cometh with the twelve.
17到了晚上，耶穌和十二個門徒都來了。
18And when they were at table and eating, Jesus saith: Amen I say to you, one of you that eateth with me shall betray me.
18他們坐席正吃的時候，耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，你們中間有一個與我同吃的人要賣我了。」
19But they began to be sorrowful, and to say to him one by one: Is it I?
19他們就憂愁起來，一個一個地問他說：「是我嗎？」
20Who saith to them: One of the twelve, who dippeth with me his hand in the dish.
20耶穌對他們說：「是十二個門徒中同我蘸手在盤子裏的那個人。
21And the Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man shall be betrayed. It were better for him, if that man had not been born.
21人子必要去世，正如 經上 指着他所寫的；但賣人子的人有禍了！那人不生在世上倒好。」
22And whilst they were eating, Jesus took bread; and blessing, broke, and gave to them, and said: Take ye. This is my body.
22他們吃的時候，耶穌拿起餅來，祝了福，就擘開，遞給他們，說：「你們拿着吃，這是我的身體」；
23And having taken the chalice, giving thanks, he gave it to them. And they all drank of it.
23又拿起杯來，祝謝了，遞給他們；他們都喝了。
24And he said to them: This is my blood of the new testament, which shall be shed for many.
24耶穌說：「這是我立約的血，為多人流出來的。
25Amen I say to you, that I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I shall drink it new in the kingdom of God.
25我實在告訴你們，我不再喝這葡萄汁，直到我在上帝的國裏喝新的那日子。」
26And when they had said an hymn, they went forth to the mount of Olives.
26他們唱了詩，就出來，往 橄欖山 去。
27And Jesus saith to them: You will all be scandalized in my regard this night; for it is written, I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be dispersed.
27耶穌對他們說：「你們都要跌倒了，因為 經上 記着說： 我要擊打牧人， 羊就分散了。
28But after I shall be risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.
28但我復活以後，要在你們以先往 加利利 去。」
29But Peter saith to him: Although all shall be scandalized in thee, yet not I.
29彼得 說：「眾人雖然跌倒，我總不能。」
30And Jesus saith to him: Amen I say to thee, today, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shall deny me thrice.
30耶穌對他說：「我實在告訴你，就在今天夜裏，雞叫兩遍以先，你要三次不認我。」
31But he spoke the more vehemently: Although I should die together with thee, I will not deny thee. And in like manner also said they all.
31彼得 卻極力地說：「我就是必須和你同死，也總不能不認你。」眾門徒都是這樣說。
32And they came to a farm called Gethsemani. And he saith to his disciples: Sit you here, while I pray.
32他們來到一個地方，名叫 客西馬尼 。耶穌對門徒說：「你們坐在這裏，等我禱告。」
33And he taketh Peter and James and John with him; and he began to fear and to be heavy.
33於是帶着 彼得 、 雅各 、 約翰 同去，就驚恐起來，極其難過，
34And he saith to them: My soul is sorrowful even unto death; stay you here, and watch.
34對他們說：「我心裏甚是憂傷，幾乎要死；你們在這裏等候，警醒。」
35And when he was gone forward a little, he fell flat on the ground; and he prayed, that if it might be, the hour might pass from him.
35他就稍往前走，俯伏在地，禱告說：「倘若可行，便叫那時候過去。」
36And he saith: Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee: remove this chalice from me; but not what I will, but what thou wilt.
36他說：「阿爸！父啊！在你凡事都能；求你將這杯撤去。然而，不要從我的意思，只要從你的意思。」
37And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping. And he saith to Peter: Simon, sleepest thou? couldst thou not watch one hour?
37耶穌回來，見他們睡着了，就對 彼得 說：「 西門 ，你睡覺嗎？不能警醒片時嗎？
38Watch ye, and pray that you enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
38總要警醒禱告，免得入了迷惑。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」
39A going away again, he prayed, saying the same words.
39耶穌又去禱告，說的話還是與先前一樣，
40And when he returned, he found them again asleep, (for their eyes were heavy,) and they knew not what to answer him.
40又來見他們睡着了，因為他們的眼睛甚是困倦；他們也不知道怎麼回答。
41And he cometh the third time, and saith to them: Sleep ye now, and take your rest. It is enough: the hour is come: behold the Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of sinners.
41第三次來，對他們說：「現在你們仍然睡覺安歇吧！夠了，時候到了。看哪，人子被賣在罪人手裏了。
42Rise up, let us go. Behold, he that will betray me is at hand.
42起來！我們走吧。看哪，那賣我的人近了！ 」
43And while he was yet speaking, cometh Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve: and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the ancients.
43說話之間，忽然那十二個門徒裏的 猶大 來了，並有許多人帶着刀棒，從祭司長和文士並長老那裏與他同來。
44And he that betrayed him, had given them a sign, saying: Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he; lay hold on him, and lead him away carefully.
44賣耶穌的人曾給他們一個暗號，說：「我與誰親嘴，誰就是他。你們把他拿住，牢牢靠靠地帶去。」
45And when he was come, immediately going up to him, he saith: Hail, Rabbi; and he kissed him.
45猶大 來了，隨即到耶穌跟前，說：「拉比」，便與他親嘴。
46But they laid hands on him, and held him.
46他們就下手拿住他。
47An one of them that stood by, drawing a sword, struck a servant of the chief priest, and cut off his ear.
47旁邊站着的人，有一個拔出刀來，將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀，削掉了他一個耳朵。
48And Jesus answering, said to them: Are you come out as to a robber, with swords and staves to apprehend me?
48耶穌對他們說：「你們帶着刀棒出來拿我，如同拿強盜嗎？
49I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and you did not lay hands on me. But that the scriptures may be fulfilled.
49我天天教訓人，同你們在殿裏，你們並沒有拿我。但 這事成就 ，為要應驗經上的話。」
50Then his disciples leaving him, all fled away.
50門徒都離開他，逃走了。
51And a certain young man followed him, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and they laid hold on him.
51有一個少年人，赤身披着一塊麻布，跟隨耶穌，眾人就捉拿他。
52But he, casting off the linen cloth, fled from them naked.
52他卻丟了麻布，赤身逃走了。
53And they brought Jesus to the high priest; and all the priests and the scribes and the ancients assembled together.
53他們把耶穌帶到大祭司那裏，又有眾祭司長和長老並文士都來和大祭司一同聚集。
54And Peter followed him from afar off, even into the court of the high priest; and he sat with the servants at the fire, and warmed himself.
54彼得 遠遠地跟着耶穌，一直進入大祭司的院裏，和差役一同坐在火光裏烤火。
55And the chief priests and all the council sought for evidence against Jesus, that they might put him to death, and found none.
55祭司長和全公會尋找見證控告耶穌，要治死他，卻尋不着。
56For many bore false witness against him, and their evidences were not agreeing.
56因為有好些人作假見證告他，只是他們的見證各不相合。
57And some rising up, bore false witness against him, saying:
57又有幾個人站起來作假見證告他，說：
58We heard him say, I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another not made with hands.
58「我們聽見他說：『我要拆毀這人手所造的殿，三日內就另造一座不是人手所造的。』」
59And their witness did not agree.
59他們就是這麼作見證，也是各不相合。
60And the high priest rising up in the midst, asked Jesus, saying: Answerest thou nothing to the things that are laid to thy charge by these men?
60大祭司起來站在中間，問耶穌說：「你甚麼都不回答嗎？這些人作見證告你的是甚麼呢？」
61But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said to him: Art thou the Christ the Son of the blessed God?
61耶穌卻不言語，一句也不回答。大祭司又問他說：「你是那當稱頌者的兒子基督不是？」
62And Jesus said to him: I am. And you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
62耶穌說：「我是。你們必看見人子坐在那權能者的右邊，駕着天上的雲降臨。」
63Then the high priest rending his garments, saith: What need we any further witnesses?
63大祭司就撕開衣服，說：「我們何必再用見證人呢？
64You have heard the blasphemy. What think you? Who all condemned him to be guilty of death.
64你們已經聽見他這僭妄的話了。你們的意見如何？」他們都定他該死的罪。
65And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him: Prophesy: and the servants struck him with the palms of their hands.
65就有人吐唾沫在他臉上，又蒙着他的臉，用拳頭打他，對他說：「你說預言吧！」差役接過他來，用手掌打他。
66Now when Peter was in the court below, there cometh one of the maidservants of the high priest.
66彼得 在下邊院子裏；來了大祭司的一個使女，
67And when she had seen Peter warming himself, looking on him she saith: Thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.
67見 彼得 烤火，就看着他，說：「你素來也是同 拿撒勒 人耶穌一夥的。」
68But he denied, saying: I neither know nor understand what thou sayest. And he went forth before the court; and the cock crew.
68彼得 卻不承認，說：「我不知道，也不明白你說的是甚麼。」於是出來，到了前院， 雞就叫了。
69And again a maidservant seeing him, began to say to the standers by: This is one of them.
69那使女看見他，又對旁邊站着的人說：「這也是他們一黨的。」
70But he denied again. And after a while they that stood by said again to Peter: Surely thou art one of them; for thou art also a Galilean.
70彼得 又不承認。過了不多的時候，旁邊站着的人又對 彼得 說：「你真是他們一黨的！因為你是 加利利 人。」
71But he began to curse and to swear, saying; I know not this man of whom you speak.
71彼得 就發咒起誓地說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」
72And immediately the cock crew again. And Peter remembered the word that Jesus had said unto him: Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt thrice deny me. And he began to weep.
72立時雞叫了第二遍。 彼得 想起耶穌對他所說的話：「雞叫兩遍以先，你要三次不認我。」思想起來，就哭了。
