1And straightway in the morning, the chief priests holding a consultation with the ancients and the scribes and the whole council, binding Jesus, led him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
1一到早晨，祭司長和長老、文士、全公會的人大家商議，就把耶穌捆綁，解去交給 彼拉多 。
2And Pilate asked him: Art thou the king of the Jews? But he answering, saith to him: Thou sayest it.
2彼拉多 問他說：「你是 猶太 人的王嗎？」耶穌回答說：「你說的是。」
3And the chief priests accused him in many things.
3祭司長告他許多的事。
4And Pilate again asked him, saying: Answerest thou nothing? behold in how many things they accuse thee.
4彼拉多 又問他說：「你看，他們告你這麼多的事，你甚麼都不回答嗎？」
5But Jesus still answered nothing; so that Pilate wondered.
5耶穌仍不回答，以致 彼拉多 覺得希奇。
6Now on the festival day he was wont to release unto them one of the prisoners, whomsoever they demanded.
6每逢這節期，巡撫照眾人所求的，釋放一個囚犯給他們。
7And there was one called Barabbas, who was put in prison with some seditious men, who in the sedition had committed murder.
7有一個人名叫 巴拉巴 ，和作亂的人一同捆綁。他們作亂的時候，曾殺過人。
8And when the multitude was come up, they began to desire that he would do, as he had ever done unto them.
8眾人上去求巡撫，照常例給他們辦。
9And Pilate answered them, and said: Will you that I release to you the king of the Jews?
9彼拉多 說：「你們要我釋放 猶太 人的王給你們嗎？」
10For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him up out of envy.
10他原曉得，祭司長是因為嫉妒才把耶穌解了來。
11But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas to them.
11只是祭司長挑唆眾人，寧可釋放 巴拉巴 給他們。
12And Pilate again answering, saith to them: What will you then that I do to the king of the Jews?
12彼拉多 又說：「那麼樣，你們所稱為 猶太 人的王，我怎麼辦他呢？」
13But they again cried out: Crucify him.
13他們又喊着說：「把他釘十字架！」
14And Pilate saith to them: Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more: Crucify him.
14彼拉多 說：「為甚麼呢？他做了甚麼惡事呢？」他們便極力地喊着說：「把他釘十字架！」
15And so Pilate being willing to satisfy the people, released to them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
15彼拉多 要叫眾人喜悅，就釋放 巴拉巴 給他們，將耶穌鞭打了，交給人釘十字架。
16And the soldiers led him away into the court of the palace, and they called together the whole band:
16兵丁把耶穌帶進衙門院裏，叫齊了全營的兵。
17And they clothe him with purple, and platting a crown of thorns, they put it upon him.
17他們給他穿上紫袍，又用荊棘編做冠冕給他戴上，
18And they began to salute him: Hail, king of the Jews.
18就慶賀他說：「恭喜， 猶太 人的王啊！」
19And they struck his head with a reed: and they did spit on him. And bowing their knees, they adored him.
19又拿一根葦子打他的頭，吐唾沫在他臉上，屈膝拜他。
20And after they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own garments on him, and they led him out to crucify him.
20戲弄完了，就給他脫了紫袍，仍穿上他自己的衣服，帶他出去，要釘十字架。
21And they forced one Simon a Cyrenian who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and of Rufus, to take up his cross.
21有一個 古利奈 人 西門 ，就是 亞歷山大 和 魯孚 的父親，從鄉下來，經過那地方，他們就勉強他同去，好背着耶穌的十字架。
22And they bring him into the place called Golgotha, which being interpreted is, The place of Calvary.
22他們帶耶穌到了 各各他 地方（ 各各他 翻出來就是髑髏地），
23And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh; but he took it not.
23拿沒藥調和的酒給耶穌，他卻不受。
24And crucifying him, they divided his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.
24於是將他釘在十字架上，拈鬮分他的衣服，看是誰得甚麼。
25And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
25釘他在十字架上是巳初的時候。
26And the inscription of his cause was written over: THE KING OF THE JEWS.
26在上面有他的罪狀，寫的是：「 猶太 人的王。」
27And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
27他們又把兩個強盜和他同釘十字架，一個在右邊，一個在左邊。
28And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith: And with the wicked he was reputed.

29And they that passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying: Vah, thou that destroyest the temple of God, and in three days buildest it up again;
29從那裏經過的人辱罵他，搖着頭說：「咳！你這拆毀聖殿、三日又建造起來的，
30Save thyself, coming down from the cross.
30可以救自己，從十字架上下來吧！」
31In like manner also the chief priests mocking, said with the scribes one to another: He saved others; himself he cannot save.
31祭司長和文士也是這樣戲弄他，彼此說：「他救了別人，不能救自己。
32Let Christ the king of Israel come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
32以色列 的王基督，現在可以從十字架上下來，叫我們看見，就信了。」那和他同釘的人也是譏誚他。
33And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole earth until the ninth hour.
33從午正到申初，遍地都黑暗了。
34And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying: Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabacthani? Which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
34申初的時候，耶穌大聲喊着說：「以羅伊！以羅伊！拉馬撒巴各大尼？」（翻出來就是：我的上帝！我的上帝！為甚麼離棄我？）
35And some of the standers by hearing, said: Behold he calleth Elias.
35旁邊站着的人，有的聽見就說：「看哪，他叫 以利亞 呢！」
36And one running and filling a sponge with vinegar, and putting it upon a reed, gave him to drink, saying: Stay, let us see if Elias come to take him down.
36有一個人跑去，把海絨蘸滿了醋，綁在葦子上，送給他喝，說：「且等着，看 以利亞 來不來把他取下。」
37And Jesus having cried out with a loud voice, gave up the ghost.
37耶穌大聲喊叫，氣就斷了。
38And the veil of the temple was rent in two, from the top to the bottom.
38殿裏的幔子從上到下裂為兩半。
39And the centurion who stood over against him, seeing that crying out in this manner he had given up the ghost, said: Indeed this man was the son of God.
39對面站着的百夫長看見耶穌這樣喊叫斷氣，就說：「這人真是上帝的兒子！」
40And there were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalen, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joseph, and Salome:
40還有些婦女遠遠地觀看；內中有 抹大拉 的 馬利亞 ，又有小 雅各 和 約西 的母親 馬利亞 ，並有 撒羅米 ，
41Who also when he was in Galilee followed him, and ministered to him, and many other women that came up with him to Jerusalem.
41就是耶穌在 加利利 的時候，跟隨他、服事他的那些人，還有同耶穌上 耶路撒冷 的好些婦女 在那裏觀看 。
42And when evening was now come, (because it was the Parasceve, that is, the day before the sabbath,)
42到了晚上，因為這是預備日，就是安息日的前一日，
43Joseph of Arimathea, a noble counsellor, who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, came and went in boldly to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
43有 亞利馬太 的 約瑟 前來，他是尊貴的議士，也是等候上帝國的。他放膽進去見 彼拉多 ，求耶穌的身體；
44But Pilate wondered that he should be already dead. And sending for the centurion, he asked him if he were already dead.
44彼拉多 詫異耶穌已經死了，便叫百夫長來，問他耶穌死了久不久。
45And when he had understood it by the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
45既從百夫長得知實情，就把耶穌的屍首賜給 約瑟 。
46And Joseph buying fine linen, and taking him down, wrapped him up in the fine linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewed out of a rock. And he rolled a stone to the door of the sepulchre.
46約瑟 買了細麻布，把耶穌取下來，用細麻布裹好，安放在磐石中鑿出來的墳墓裏，又滾過一塊石頭來擋住墓門。
47And Mary Magdalen, and Mary the mother of Joseph, beheld where he was laid.
47抹大拉 的 馬利亞 和 約西 的母親 馬利亞 都看見安放他的地方。
