1In the eighth month, in the second year of king Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zacharias the son of Barachias, the son of Addo, the prophet, saying:
1大流士 王 第二年八月，耶和華的話臨到 易多 的孫子、 比利家 的兒子先知 撒迦利亞 ，說：
2The Lord hath been exceeding angry with your fathers.
2「耶和華曾向你們列祖大大發怒。
3And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Turn ye to me, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will turn to you, saith the Lord of hosts.
3所以你要對 以色列 人說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們要轉向我，我就轉向你們。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
4Be not as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have cried, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Turn ye from your evil ways, and from your wicked thoughts: but they did not give ear, neither did they hearken to me, saith the Lord.
4不要效法你們列祖。從前的先知呼叫他們說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：『你們要回頭離開你們的惡道惡行。』他們卻不聽，也不順從我。這是耶和華說的。
5Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, shall they live always?
5你們的列祖在哪裏呢？那些先知能永遠存活嗎？
6But yet my words, and my ordinances, which I gave in charge to my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers, and they returned, and said: As the Lord of hosts thought to do to us according to our ways, and according to our devices, so he hath done to us.
6只是我的言語和律例，就是所吩咐我僕人眾先知的，豈不臨到你們列祖嗎？他們就回頭，說：『萬軍之耶和華定意按我們的行動作為向我們怎樣行，他已照樣行了。』」
7In the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month which is called Sabath, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zacharias the son of Barachias, the son of Addo, the prophet, saying:
7大流士 第二年十一月，就是細罷特月二十四日，耶和華的話臨到 易多 的孫子、 比利家 的兒子先知 撒迦利亞 ，說：
8I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees, that were in the bottom: and behind him were horses, red, speckled, and white.
8「我夜間觀看，見一人騎着紅馬，站在窪地番石榴樹中間。在他身後又有紅馬、黃馬，和白馬。」
9And I said: What are these, my Lord? and the angel that spoke in me, said to me: I will shew thee what these are:
9我對與我說話的天使說：「主啊，這是甚麼意思？」他說：「我要指示你這是甚麼意思。」
10And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered, and said: These are they, whom the Lord hath sent to walk through the earth.
10那站在番石榴樹中間的人說：「這是奉耶和華差遣在遍地走來走去的。」
11And they answered the angel of the Lord, that stood among the myrtle trees, and said: We have walked through the earth, and behold all the earth is inhabited, and is at rest.
11那些騎馬的對站在番石榴樹中間耶和華的使者說：「我們已在遍地走來走去，見全地都安息平靜。」
12And the angel of the Lord answered, and said: O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem, and on the cities of Juda, with which thou hast been angry? this is now the seventieth year.
12於是，耶和華的使者說：「萬軍之耶和華啊，你惱恨 耶路撒冷 和 猶大 的城邑已經七十年，你不施憐憫要到幾時呢？」
13And the Lord answered the angel, that spoke in me, good words, comfortable words.
13耶和華就用美善的安慰話回答那與我說話的天使。
14And the angel that spoke in me, said to me: Cry thou, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: I am zealous for Jerusalem, and Sion with a great zeal.
14與我說話的天使對我說：「你要宣告說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：我為 耶路撒冷 為 錫安 ，心裏極其火熱。
15And I am angry with a great anger with the wealthy nations: for I was angry a little, but they helped forward the evil.
15我甚惱怒那安逸的列國，因我從前稍微惱怒 我民 ，他們就加害過分。
16Therefore thus saith the Lord: I will return to Jerusalem in mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts: and the building line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
16所以耶和華如此說：現今我回到 耶路撒冷 ，仍施憐憫，我的殿必重建在其中，準繩必拉在 耶路撒冷 之上。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
17Cry yet, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts: My cities shall yet flow with good things: and the Lord will yet comfort Sion, and he will yet choose Jerusalem.
17你要再宣告說，萬軍之耶和華如此說：我的城邑必再豐盛發達。耶和華必再安慰 錫安 ，揀選 耶路撒冷 。」
18And I lifted up my eyes, and saw: and behold four horns.
18我舉目觀看，見有四角。
19And I said to the angel that spoke to me: What are these? And he said to me: These are the horns that have scattered Juda, and Israel, and Jerusalem.
19我就問與我說話的天使說：「這是甚麼意思？」他回答說：「這是打散 猶大 、 以色列 ，和 耶路撒冷 的角。」
20And the Lord shewed me four smiths.
20耶和華又指四個匠人給我看。
21And I said: What come these to do? and he spoke, saying: These are the horns which have scattered Juda every man apart, and none of them lifted up his head: and these are come to fray them, to cast down the horns of the nations, that have lifted up the horn upon the land of Juda to scatter it.
21我說：「他們來做甚麼呢？」他說：「這是打散 猶大 的角，使人不敢抬頭；但這些匠人來威嚇列國，打掉他們的角，就是舉起打散 猶大 地的角。」
