1In the four and twentieth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king, they began.
1七 月 二十一 日 ，耶和華的話臨到先知 哈該 說：
2And in the seventh month, the word of the Lord came by the hand of Aggeus the prophet, saying:
2「你要曉諭 猶大 省長 撒拉鐵 的兒子 所羅巴伯 和 約撒答 的兒子大祭司 約書亞 ，並剩下的百姓，說：
3Speak to Zorobabel the son of Salathiel the governor of Juda, and to Jesus the son of Josedec the high priest, and to the rest of the people, saying:
3你們中間存留的，有誰見過這殿從前的榮耀呢？現在你們看着如何？豈不在眼中看如無有嗎？」
4Who is left among you, that saw this house in its first glory? and how do you see it now? is it not in comparison to that as nothing in your eyes?
4耶和華說：「 所羅巴伯 啊，雖然如此，你當剛強！ 約撒答 的兒子大祭司 約書亞 啊，你也當剛強！這地的百姓，你們都當剛強做工，因為我與你們同在。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。
5Yet now take courage, O Zorobabel, saith the Lord, and take courage, O Jesus the son of Josedec the high priest, and take courage, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord of hosts: and perform (for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts)
5這是 照着 你們出 埃及 我與你們立約的話。那時，我的靈住在你們中間，你們不要懼怕。」
6The word that I covenanted with you when you came out of the land of Egypt: and my spirit shall be in the midst of you: fear not.
6萬軍之耶和華如此說：「過不多時，我必再一次震動天地、滄海，與旱地。
7For thus saith the Lord of hosts: Yet one little while, and I will move the heaven and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land.
7我必震動萬國；萬國的珍寶必都運來，我就使這殿滿了榮耀。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」
8And I will move all nations: AND THE DESIRED OF ALL NATIONS SHALL COME: and I will fill this house with glory: saith the Lord of hosts.
8萬軍之耶和華說：「銀子是我的，金子也是我的。
9The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.
9這殿後來的榮耀必大過先前的榮耀；在這地方我必賜平安。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」
10Great shall be the glory of this last house more than of the first, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place I will give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

11In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius the king, the word of the Lord came to Aggeus the prophet, saying:
11萬軍之耶和華如此說：「你要向祭司問律法，
12Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Ask the priests the law, saying:
12說：若有人用衣襟兜聖肉，這衣襟挨着餅，或湯，或酒，或油，或別的食物，便算為聖嗎？」祭司說：「不算為聖。」
13If a man carry sanctified flesh in the skirt of his garment, and touch with his skirt, bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat: shall it be sanctified? And the priests answered, and said: No.
13哈該 又說：「若有人因摸死屍染了污穢，然後挨着這些物的哪一樣，這物算污穢嗎？」祭司說：「必算污穢。」
14And Aggeus said: If one that is unclean by occasion of a soul touch any of all these things, shall it be defiled? And the priests answered, and said: It shall be defiled.
14於是 哈該 說：「耶和華說：這民這國，在我面前也是如此；他們手下的各樣工作都是如此；他們在壇上所獻的也是如此。」
15And Aggeus answered, and said: So is this people, and so is this nation before my face, saith the Lord, and so is all the work of their hands: and all that they have offered there, shall be defiled.
15現在你們要追想，此日以前，耶和華的殿沒有一塊石頭壘在石頭上的光景。
16And now consider in your hearts, from this day and upward, before there was a stone laid upon a stone in the temple of the Lord.
16在那一切日子，有人來到 穀 堆，想得二十 斗 ，只得了十 斗 。有人來到酒池，想得五十 桶 ，只得了二十 桶 。
17When you went to a heap of twenty bushels, and they became ten: and you went into the press, to press out fifty vessels, and they became twenty.
17在你們手下的各樣工作上，我以旱風、霉爛、冰雹攻擊你們，你們仍不 歸向 我。這是耶和華說的。
18I struck you with a blasting wind, and all the works of your hand with the mildew and with hail, yet there was none among you that returned to me, saith the Lord.
18你們要追想此日以前，就是從這九月二十四日起，追想到立耶和華殿根基的日子。
19Set your hearts from this day, and henceforward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month: from the day that the foundations of the temple of the Lord were laid, and lay it up in your hearts.
19倉裏有穀種嗎？葡萄樹、無花果樹、石榴樹、橄欖樹都沒有結果子。從今日起，我必賜福 與你們 。
20Is the seed as yet sprung up? or hath the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree as yet flourished? from this day I will bless you.
20這月二十四日，耶和華的話二次臨到 哈該 說：
21And the word of the Lord came a second time to Aggeus in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying:
21「你要告訴 猶大 省長 所羅巴伯 說：我必震動天地。
22Speak to Zorobabel the governor of Juda, saying: I will move both heaven and earth.
22我必傾覆列國的寶座，除滅列邦的勢力，並傾覆戰車和坐在其上的。馬必跌倒，騎馬的敗落，各人被弟兄的刀所殺。
23And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and will destroy the strength of the kingdom of the Gentiles: and I will overthrow the chariot, and him that rideth therein: and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
23萬軍之耶和華說：我僕人 撒拉鐵 的兒子 所羅巴伯 啊，到那日，我必以你為印，因我揀選了你。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」
24In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, I will take thee, O Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, my servant, saith the Lord, and will make thee as a signet, for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord of hosts.
