1大衛 在 大衛城 為自己建造宮殿，又為上帝的 約 櫃預備地方，支搭帳幕。
1And David made him houses in the city of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2那時 大衛 說：「除了 利未 人之外，無人可抬上帝的 約 櫃；因為耶和華揀選他們抬上帝的 約 櫃，且永遠事奉他。」
2Then David said: 'None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites; for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of the LORD, and to minister unto Him for ever.'
3大衛 招聚 以色列 眾人到 耶路撒冷 ，要將耶和華的 約 櫃抬到他所預備的地方。
3And David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto its place, which he had prepared for it.
4大衛 又聚集 亞倫 的子孫和 利未 人。
4And David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites;
5哥轄 子孫中有族長 烏列 和他的弟兄一百二十人。
5of the sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twenty;
6米拉利 子孫中有族長 亞帥雅 和他的弟兄二百二十人。
6of the sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty;
7革順 子孫中有族長 約珥 和他的弟兄一百三十人。
7of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren a hundred and thirty;
8以利撒反 子孫中有族長 示瑪雅 和他的弟兄二百人。
8of the sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred;
9希伯崙 子孫中有族長 以列 和他的弟兄八十人。
9of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore;

10of the sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief, and his brethren a hundred and twelve.
11大衛 將祭司 撒督 和 亞比亞他 ，並 利未 人 烏列 、 亞帥雅 、 約珥 、 示瑪雅 、 以列 、 亞米拿達 召來，
11And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
12對他們說：「你們是 利未 人的族長，你們和你們的弟兄應當自潔，好將耶和華－ 以色列 上帝的 約 櫃抬到我所預備的地方。
12and said unto them: 'Ye are the heads of the fathers' houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, unto the place that I have prepared for it.
13因你們先前沒有 抬這約櫃 ，按定例求問耶和華－我們的上帝，所以他刑罰我們。」
13For because ye bore it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought Him not according to the ordinance.'
14於是祭司 利未 人自潔，好將耶和華－ 以色列 上帝的 約 櫃抬上來。
14So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel.
15利未 子孫就用槓，肩抬上帝的 約 櫃，是照耶和華藉 摩西 所吩咐的。
15And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God upon their shoulders with the bars thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
16大衛 吩咐 利未 人的族長，派他們歌唱的弟兄用琴瑟和鈸作樂，歡歡喜喜地大聲歌頌。
16And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers, with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.
17於是 利未 人派 約珥 的兒子 希幔 和他弟兄中 比利家 的兒子 亞薩 ，並他們族弟兄 米拉利 子孫裏 古沙雅 的兒子 以探 。
17So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18其次還有他們的弟兄 撒迦利雅 、 便雅薛 、 示米拉末 、 耶歇 、 烏尼 、 以利押 、 比拿雅 、 瑪西雅 、 瑪他提雅 、 以利斐利戶 、 彌克尼雅 ，並守門的 俄別‧以東 和 耶利 。
18and with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphalehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.
19這樣，派歌唱的 希幔 、 亞薩 、 以探 敲銅鈸，大發響聲；
19So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed, with cymbals of brass to sound aloud;
20派 撒迦利雅 、 雅薛 、 示米拉末 、 耶歇 、 烏尼 、 以利押 、 瑪西雅 、 比拿雅 鼓瑟，調用女音；
20and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries set to Alamoth;
21又派 瑪他提雅 、 以利斐利戶 、 彌克尼雅 、 俄別‧以東 、 耶利 、 亞撒西雅 領首彈琴，調用第八。
21and Mattithiah, and Eliphalehu, and Mikneiahu, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith, to lead.
22利未 人的族長 基拿尼雅 是歌唱人的首領，又教訓人歌唱，因為他精通此事。
22And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song; he was master in the song, because he was skilful.
23比利家 、 以利加拿 是 約 櫃前守門的。
23And Berechiah and Elkanah were door-keepers for the ark.
24祭司 示巴尼 、 約沙法 、 拿坦業 、 亞瑪賽 、 撒迦利雅 、 比拿亞 、 以利以謝 在上帝的 約 櫃前吹號。 俄別‧以東 和 耶希亞 也是 約 櫃前守門的。
24And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God; and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25於是， 大衛 和 以色列 的長老，並千夫長都去從 俄別‧以東 的家歡歡喜喜地將耶和華的約櫃抬上來。
25So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.
26上帝賜恩與抬耶和華約櫃的 利未 人，他們就獻上七隻公牛，七隻公羊。
26And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they sacrificed seven bullocks and seven rams.
27大衛 和抬 約 櫃的 利未 人，並歌唱人的首領 基拿尼雅 ，以及歌唱的人，都穿着細麻布的外袍； 大衛 另外穿着細麻布的以弗得。
27And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the singers in the song; and David had upon him an ephod of linen.
28這樣， 以色列 眾人歡呼吹角、吹號、敲鈸、鼓瑟、彈琴，大發響聲，將耶和華的約櫃抬上來。
28Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the horn, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with psalteries and harps.
29耶和華的約櫃進了 大衛城 的時候， 掃羅 的女兒 米甲 從窗戶裏觀看，見 大衛 王踴躍跳舞，心裏就輕視他。
29And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and making merry; and she despised him in her heart.
