1此後， 大衛 攻打 非利士 人，把他們治服，從他們手下奪取了 迦特 和屬 迦特 的村莊；
1And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.
2又攻打 摩押 ， 摩押 人就歸服 大衛 ，給他進貢。
2And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became servants to David, and brought presents.
3瑣巴 王 哈大利謝 往 幼發拉底河 去，要堅定自己的國權， 大衛 就攻打他，直到 哈馬 ，
3And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah by Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion at the river Euphrates.
4奪了他的戰車一千，馬兵七千，步兵二萬，將拉戰車的馬砍斷蹄筋，但留下一百輛車的馬。
4And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for a hundred chariots.
5大馬士革 的 亞蘭 人來幫助 瑣巴 王 哈大利謝 ， 大衛 就殺了 亞蘭 人二萬二千。
5And when the Arameans of Damascus came to succour Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Arameans two and twenty thousand men.
6於是 大衛 在 大馬士革 的 亞蘭 地設立 防營 ， 亞蘭 人就歸服他，給他進貢。 大衛 無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。
6Then David put garrisons in Aram Damascus; and the Arameans became servants to David, and brought presents. And the LORD gave victory to David whithersoever he went.
7他奪了 哈大利謝 臣僕所拿的金盾牌帶到 耶路撒冷 。
7And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8大衛 又從屬 哈大利謝 的 提巴 和 均 二城中奪取了許多的銅。後來 所羅門 用此製造銅海、銅柱，和一切的銅器。
8And from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.
9哈馬 王 陀烏 聽見 大衛 殺敗 瑣巴 王 哈大利謝 的全軍，
9And when Tou king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10就打發他兒子 哈多蘭 去見 大衛 王，問他的安，為他祝福，因為他殺敗了 哈大利謝 （原來 陀烏 與 哈大利謝 常常爭戰）。 哈多蘭 帶了金銀銅的各樣器皿來。
10he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to salute him, and to bless him — because he had fought against Hadarezer and smitten him; for Hadarezer had wars with Tou — and he had with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.
11大衛 王將這些器皿，並從各國奪來的金銀，就是從 以東 、 摩押 、 亞捫 、 非利士 、 亞瑪力 人所奪來的，都分別為聖獻給耶和華。
11These also did king David dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12洗魯雅 的兒子 亞比篩 在 鹽谷 擊殺了 以東 一萬八千人。
12Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah smote of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.
13大衛 在 以東 地設立防營， 以東 人就都歸服他。 大衛 無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。
13And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the LORD gave victory to David whithersoever he went.
14大衛 作 以色列 眾人的王，又向眾民秉公行義。
14And David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness unto all his people.
15洗魯雅 的兒子 約押 作元帥； 亞希律 的兒子 約沙法 作史官；
15And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder.
16亞希突 的兒子 撒督 和 亞比亞他 的兒子 亞希米勒 作祭司 長 ； 沙威沙 作書記；
16And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Shavsha was scribe;
17耶何耶大 的兒子 比拿雅 統轄 基利提 人和 比利提 人。 大衛 的眾子都在王的左右作領袖。
17and Beniah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.
