1In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain!
1Проводиреві хора: Псальма Давидова. На Господа вповаю; як же ви кажете душі моїй: відлїтайте, як птиця, на гору вашу?
2For behold, the wicked bend their bows. They set their arrow on the string to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.
2Ось бо безбожники натягнули лука, на тятиві стрілу свою направили, щоб у темряві на щирих серцем стріляти.
3If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
3Коли зруйнують основи, що робити ме праведний?
4The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD is on His heavenly throne. His eyes are watching closely; they examine the sons of men.
4Господь є у сьвятому храмі своєму, на небесах престол Господнїй; очі його дивляться, повійки його розглядають синів людських.
5The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked; His soul hates the lover of violence.
5Господь випробовує праведного, а безбожного й того, хто любить насиллє, ненавидить душа його.
6On the wicked He will rain down fiery coals and sulfur; a scorching wind will be their portion.
6Жаром посипле він на безбожних; огонь і сїрка і вітер палящий буде частина їх чаші.
7For the LORD is righteous; He loves justice. The upright will see His face.
7Бо Господь справедлив, і любить правду. Лице його бачить праведника.
