1Then Job answered:
1E GIOBBE rispose, e disse:
2“How you have helped the powerless and saved the arm that is feeble!
2O quanto hai tu bene aiutato il debole, Ed hai salvato il braccio fiacco!
3How you have counseled the unwise and provided fully sound insight!
3O quanto hai tu ben consigliato colui che è privo di sapienza, E gli hai largamente dimostrata la ragione!
4To whom have you uttered these words? And whose spirit spoke through you?
4A cui hai tu tenuti questi ragionamenti? E lo spirito di cui è uscito di te?
5The dead tremble— those beneath the waters and those who dwell in them.
5I giganti sono stati formati da Dio , E gli animali che stanno nelle acque sono stati formati sotto esse.
6Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.
6L'inferno è ignudo davanti a lui, E non vi è copritura alcuna al luogo del la perdizione.
7He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth upon nothing.
7Egli distende l'Aquilone in sul vuoto, Egli tiene sospesa la terra in su niente.
8He wraps up the waters in His clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their own weight.
8Egli serra le acque nelle sue nuvole, E non però si schiantano le nubi sotto esse.
9He covers the face of the full moon, spreading over it His cloud.
9Egli tavola la superficie del suo trono, Egli spande la sua nuvola sopra esso.
10He has inscribed a horizon on the face of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.
10Egli ha con la sesta posto un certo termine intorno alle acque, Il qual durerà infino alla fine della luce e delle tenebre.
11The foundations of heaven quake, astounded at His rebuke.
11Le colonne de' cieli sono scrollate, Ed attonite, quando egli le sgrida.
12By His power He stirred the sea; by His understanding He shattered Rahab.
12Egli ha fesso il mare con la sua forza, E col suo senno ha trafitto Rahab.
13By His breath the skies were cleared; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.
13Egli ha col suo Spirito adorni i cieli; La sua mano ha formato il serpente guizzante.
14Indeed, these are but the fringes of His ways; how faint is the whisper we hear of Him! Who then can understand the thunder of His power?”
14Ecco, queste cose son solo alcune particelle delle sue vie; E quanto poco è quel che noi ne abbiamo udito? E chi potrà intendere il tuono delle sue potenze?
