1(039-4) Ngươi có biết thì nào dê rừng đẻ chăng? Có xem xét mùa nào nai cái đẻ chăng?
1Knowest thou the time when the wild goats bring forth among the rocks, or hast thou observed the hinds when they fawn?
2(039-5) Ngươi có tính số tháng nó có thai, Và biết kỳ nó đẻ chăng?
2Hast thou numbered the months of their conceiving, or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
3(039-6) Nó ngồi chồm hỗm, đẻ con nhỏ ra, Và được giải khỏi sự đau đớn của nó.
3They bow themselves to bring forth young, and they cast them, and send forth roarings.
4(039-7) Các con nhỏ nó trở nên mạnh mẽ, lớn lên trong đồng nội; Đoạn lìa mẹ mình, chẳng còn trở lại nữa.
4Their young are weaned and go to feed: they go forth, and return not to them.
5(039-8) Ai để cho con lừa rừng chạy thong dong? Ai có mở trói cho con lừa lẹ làng kia?
5Who hath sent out the wild ass free, and who hath loosed his bonds?
6(039-9) Ta đã ban cho nó đồng vắng làm nhà, Và ruộng mặn làm nơi ở.
6To whom I have given a house in the wilderness, and his dwellings in the barren land.
7(039-10) Nó khinh chê tiếng ồn ào của thị thành, Không nghe tiếng của kẻ coi dắt.
7He scorneth the multitude of the city, he heareth not the cry of the driver.
8(039-11) Khắp các núi là đồng cỏ của nó, Nó tìm kiếm mọi vật gì xanh tươi.
8He looketh round about the mountains of his pasture, and seeketh for every green thing.
9(039-12) Chớ thì con bò tót muốn làm việc cho ngươi chăng? Nó chịu ở gần bên máng cỏ ngươi chớ?
9Shall the rhinoceros be willing to serve thee, or will he stay at thy crib?
10(039-13) Ngươi há có thể lấy dây cột bò tót nơi giòng cày sao? Nó sẽ chịu theo sau ngươi mà bừa trũng chăng?
10Canst thou bind the rhinoceros with thy thong to plough, or will he break the clods of the valleys after thee?
11(039-14) Ngươi há sẽ nhờ cậy nó, vì nó sức nhiều sao? Ngươi sẽ giao công lao mình cho nó chăng?
11Wilt thou have confidence in his great strength, and leave thy labours to him?
12(039-15) Chớ thì ngươi cậy nó đem ngũ cốc về, Và nhờ nó gom lúa mì lại trong sân ngươi ư?
12Wilt thou trust him that he will render thee the seed, and gather it into thy barnfloor?
13(039-16) Chim lạc đà đập cánh vui mừng; Nhưng cánh và lông ấy, há có biết thương yêu sao?
13The wing of the ostrich is like the wings of the heron, and of the hawk.
14(039-17) Vì nó để trứng mình dưới đất, Vùi nóng trứng ấy nơi bụi cát,
14When she leaveth her eggs on the earth, thou perhaps wilt warm them in the dust.
15(039-18) Quên rằng có lẽ chân người bước nát nó, Hoặc con thú đồng giày đạp nó đi chăng.
15She forgetteth that the foot may tread upon them, or that the beasts of the field may break them.
16(039-19) Nó ở khắc khổ với con nó, dường như không thuộc về nó, Sự lao khổ nó luống công, nhưng nó không lo căm đến.
16She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers, she hath laboured in vain, no fear constraining her.
17(039-20) Vì Đức Chúa Trời cất sự khôn ngoan khỏi nó, Không chia phân thông sáng cho nó.
17For God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he given her understanding.
18(039-21) Khi nó đập cánh bay lên, Bèn nhạo báng ngựa và người cỡi ngựa.
18When time shall be, she setteth up her wings on high: she scorneth the horse and his rider.
19(039-22) Có phải ngươi ban sức lực cho ngựa, Và phủ cổ nó lông gáy rung rung chăng?
19Wilt thou give strength to the horse, or clothe his neck with neighing?
20(039-23) Há có phải ngươi khiến nó nhảy búng như cào cào chăng? Tiếng kêu hí có oai của nó, thật đáng sợ.
20Wilt thou lift him up like the locusts? the glory of his nostrils is terror.
21(039-24) Nó đào đất trong trũng, vui mừng về sức lực mình; Nó xông tới đón quân cầm binh khí.
21He breaketh up the earth with his hoof, he pranceth boldly, he goeth forward to meet armed men.
22(039-25) Nó khinh chê sự sợ, chẳng ghê điều chi; Trước ngọn gươm nó không xây trở.
22He despiseth fear, he turneth not his back to the sword,
23(039-26) Trên nó vang tiếng gùi tên, Giáo và lao sáng giới.
23Above him shall the quiver rattle, the spear and shield shall glitter.
24(039-27) Nó lướt dậm, vừa nhảy vừa hét, Khi kèn thổi nó chẳng cầm mình lại được.
24Chasing and raging he swalloweth the ground, neither doth he make account when the noise of the trumpet soundeth.
25(039-28) Vừa khi nghe kèn thổi, nó bèn la: Hi! hi! Từ xa nó đánh hơi mùi giặc, Nghe tiếng ầm ầm của các quan tướng và tiếng reo hô của chiến sĩ.
25When he heareth the trumpet he saith: Ha, ha: he smelleth the battle afar off, the encouraging of the captains, and the shouting of the army.
26(039-29) Có phải nhờ sự khôn ngươi mà con diều vùng bay đi, Và sè cánh nó về hướng nam?
26Doth the hawk wax feathered by thy wisdom, spreading her wings to the south?
27(039-30) Có phải theo lịnh ngươi mà chim ưng cất lên, Và đóng ổ nó tại nơi cao?
27Will the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest in high places?
28(039-31) Nó ở trong bàn thạch, đậu trên chót vót hòn đá, Tại trên đỉnh núi không ai leo lên được.
28She abideth among the rocks, and dwelleth among cragged flints, and stony hills, where there is no access.
29(039-32) Từ đó, nó rình mồi, Mắt nó thấy mồi ở xa.
29From thence she looketh for the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
30(039-33) Các con nhỏ nó hút huyết, Và hễ nơi nào có xác chết, thì nó bèn có tại đó.
30Her young ones shall suck up blood: and wheresoever the carcass shall be, she is immediately there.
