1Te u hanga hake hoku mata ki he ngaahi moʻunga, ʻaia ʻoku haʻu mei ai hoku tokoni.
1I rejoiced at the things that were said to me: We shall go into the house of the Lord.
2ʻOku haʻu hoku tokoni meia Sihova, ʻaia ne ne ngaohi ʻae langi mo māmani.
2Our feet were standing in thy courts, O Jerusalem.
3ʻE ʻikai tuku ʻe ia ke hiki ho vaʻe: ko ia ʻoku ne tauhi koe ʻe ʻikai tulemohe ia.
3Jerusalem, which is built as a city, which is compact together.
4Vakai, ko ia ʻoku ne tauhi ʻa ʻIsileli ʻe ʻikai te ne tulemohe pe mohe.
4For thither did the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to praise the name of the Lord.
5Ko Sihova ko ho tauhi: ko Sihova ko ho fakamalu ia ʻi ho nima toʻomataʻu.
5Because their seats have sat in judgment, seats upon the house of David.
6ʻE ʻikai taaʻi koe ʻe he laʻā ʻi he ʻaho, pe ʻe he māhina ʻi he pō.
6Pray ye for the things that are for the peace of Jerusalem: and abundance for them that love thee.
7ʻE fakahaofi koe ʻe Sihova mei he kovi kotoa pē: te ne fakamoʻui ho laumālie.
7Let peace be in thy strength: and abundance in thy towers.
8ʻE tauhi ʻe Sihova hoʻo ʻalu kituʻa mo hoʻo liu mai mei he ʻaho ni, pea taʻengata.
8For the sake of my brethren, and of my neighbours, I spoke peace of thee.
