1เขาให้ข้าพเจ้าเห็นโยชูวาหัวหน้าปุโรหิตยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าทูตสวรรค์ของพระยาห์เวห์ และซาตานยืนอยู่ทางขวามือของโยชูวาเพื่อเป็นผู้ต่อต้านเขา
1And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.
2พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวกับซาตานว่า “ขอพระยาห์เวห์ตำหนิเจ้า ซาตาน! ขอพระยาห์เวห์ผู้เลือกเยรูซาเล็มตำหนิเจ้า! นี่ไม่ใช่ท่อนไม้ติดไฟที่ดึงออกมาจากกองไฟหรือ?”
2And the LORD said unto Satan: 'The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan, yea, the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee; is not this man a brand plucked out of the fire?'
3โยชูวาสวมเสื้อผ้าโสโครก ยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าทูตสวรรค์
3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
4เขาพูดกับผู้ที่ยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าเขาว่า “จงถอดเสื้อผ้าโสโครกออกจากคนนี้” แล้วบอกโยชูวาว่า “เราเอาความผิดของคุณออกไปแล้ว และจะให้คุณสวมเสื้อผ้างดงาม”
4And he answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying: 'Take the filthy garments from off him.' And unto him he said: 'Behold, I cause thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with robes.'
5ข้าพเจ้าพูดว่า “ขอให้พวกเขาโพกผ้าสะอาดบนศีรษะของเขา” พวกเขาจึงโพกผ้าสะอาดบนศีรษะของโยชูวาและสวมเสื้อผ้าให้เขา โดยมีทูตสวรรค์ของพระยาห์เวห์ยืนอยู่ข้าง ๆ
5And I said: 'Let them set a fair mitre upon his head.' So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments; and the angel of the LORD stood by.
6ทูตสวรรค์ของพระยาห์เวห์กล่าวยืนยันอย่างจริงจังกับโยชูวาว่า
6And the angel of the LORD forewarned Joshua, saying:
7“พระยาห์เวห์จอมทัพกล่าวดังนี้ ‘ถ้าคุณดำเนินตามทางของเราและปฏิบัติตามคำสั่งของเรา คุณจะได้ปกครองวิหารของเราและดูแลลานวิหารของเราด้วย เราจะให้คุณเข้าไปอยู่ในหมู่ผู้ที่ยืนอยู่ที่นี่ได้
7'Thus saith the LORD of hosts: If thou wilt walk in My ways, and if thou wilt keep My charge, and wilt also judge My house, and wilt also keep My courts, then I will give thee free access among these that stand by.
8จงฟังเถิด โยชูวาหัวหน้าปุโรหิต ทั้งคุณและสหายที่นั่งอยู่ต่อหน้าคุณ เพราะคนเหล่านี้เป็นสัญลักษณ์ เพราะเราจะนำผู้รับใช้ของเรา คือ «หน่อ» ออกมา
8Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee; for they are men that are a sign; for, behold, I will bring forth My servant the Shoot.
9จงมองหินที่เราวางไว้ต่อหน้าโยชูวา บนหินก้อนเดียวมีดวงตาเจ็ดดวง เราจะสลักข้อความลงบนหินนั้น’ พระยาห์เวห์จอมทัพกล่าว ‘และจะเอาความผิดของแผ่นดินนั้นออกไปในวันเดียว
9For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone are seven facets; behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts: And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10ในวันนั้น’ พระยาห์เวห์จอมทัพกล่าว ‘แต่ละคนจะชวนเพื่อนบ้านของตนมาใต้เถาองุ่นและใต้ต้นมะเดื่อ’”
10In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig-tree.
