1ข้าพเจ้าเงยหน้ามองอีกครั้ง เห็นรถศึกสี่คันออกมาจากระหว่างภูเขาสองลูก ภูเขาทั้งสองเป็นภูเขาทองสัมฤทธิ์
1And again I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between the two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
2รถศึกคันแรกมีม้าสีแดง คันที่สองมีม้าสีดำ
2In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
3คันที่สามมีม้าสีขาว คันที่สี่มีม้าสีด่าง ม้าทั้งหมดแข็งแรง
3and in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grizzled bay horses.
4ข้าพเจ้าถามทูตสวรรค์ที่พูดกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “ท่าน สิ่งเหล่านี้คืออะไร?”
4Then I answered and said unto the angel that spoke with me: 'What are these, my lord?'
5ทูตสวรรค์ตอบว่า “นี่คือลมทั้งสี่ทิศของท้องฟ้า ที่ยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าพระผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งโลกทั้งสิ้น แล้วออกไป
5And the angel answered and said unto me: 'These chariots go forth to the four winds of heaven, after presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.
6รถศึกที่มีม้าสีดำออกไปยังแผ่นดินทางเหนือ ม้าสีขาวออกไปตามหลัง และม้าสีด่างออกไปยังแผ่นดินทางใต้”
6That wherein are the black horses goeth forth toward the north country; and the white went forth after them; and the grizzled went forth toward the south country;
7ม้าที่แข็งแรงออกมาและต้องการออกไปเดินตระเวนทั่วโลก เขาบอกว่า “จงตระเวนไปทั่วโลก!” พวกมันจึงเดินตระเวนทั่วโลก
7and the bay went forth'. And they sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth; and he said: 'Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth.' So they walked to and fro through the earth.
8เขาร้องบอกข้าพเจ้าว่า “ดูเถิด พวกที่ไปยังแผ่นดินทางเหนือทำให้วิญญาณของเราสงบลงแล้วในแผ่นดินทางเหนือ”
8Then cried he upon me, and spoke unto me, saying: 'Behold, they that go toward the north country have eased My spirit in the north country.'
9ถ้อยคำของพระยาห์เวห์มาถึงข้าพเจ้าว่า
9And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
10“จงรับของจากผู้ที่ถูกกวาดไปเป็นเชลย ได้แก่ เฮลดัย โทบิยาห์ และเยดายาห์ จงมาในวันเดียวกัน แล้วเข้าไปในบ้านของโยสิยาห์บุตรของเศฟันยาห์ พวกเขาเดินทางจากบาบิโลนมาถึงที่นั่น
10'Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, that are come from Babylon; and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
11จงรับเงินและทองคำ ทำมงกุฎหลายวง แล้วสวมบนศีรษะโยชูวาบุตรของเยโฮซาดัก หัวหน้าปุโรหิต
11yea, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set the one upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;
12บอกเขาว่า ‘พระยาห์เวห์จอมทัพกล่าวดังนี้ “นี่คือชายผู้มีชื่อว่า «หน่อ»! เขาจะเติบโตขึ้นจากที่ของเขา และจะสร้างวิหารของพระยาห์เวห์
12and speak unto him, saying: Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying: Behold, a man whose name is the Shoot, and who shall shoot up out of his place, and build the temple of the LORD;
13เขาจะสร้างวิหารของพระยาห์เวห์ เขาจะรับสง่าราศี จะนั่งบนบัลลังก์และปกครอง เขาจะเป็นปุโรหิตบนบัลลังก์ของเขา และทั้งสองจะหารือกันเพื่อสันติภาพ
13even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and there shall be a priest before his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
14มงกุฎเหล่านั้นจะเป็นของเฮเลม โทบิยาห์ เยดายาห์ และเฮนบุตรของเศฟันยาห์ เป็นสิ่งเตือนความจำในวิหารของพระยาห์เวห์
14And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, as a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
15ผู้ที่อยู่ไกลจะมาสร้างในวิหารของพระยาห์เวห์ แล้วพวกคุณจะรู้ว่าพระยาห์เวห์จอมทัพส่งเรามาหาพวกคุณ สิ่งนี้จะเกิดขึ้น ถ้าพวกคุณตั้งใจเชื่อฟังเสียงของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของพวกคุณ”’”
15And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And it shall come to pass, if ye will diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD your God — .'
